Good Luck Cards | Honey Bee Stamps - Perfect Match Release

A handmade card featuring pink ombre glitter letters spelling 'good luck' on a pink-toned embossed background with a vellum frame. A red gem-encrusted heart is at the center of the card, accented by additional small red gems for embellishment. The design is set against a backdrop of playing card elements and soft pink tones

Today, I am thrilled to share two "Good Luck" cards I created as part of the Perfect Match Release Instagram Hop for Honey Bee Stamps! These cards use the same basic techniques but differ slightly in their finishing details, making them unique and fun in their own ways. Don’t forget to head over to my πŸ‘‰Instagram to enter the giveaway for a chance to win amazing prizes! TWO $50 Gift Cards (one each) will be given to the to the lucky winners!

Shared Techniques:
  • Embossed Backgrounds: Both cards feature backgrounds created using the Aces - 3D Embossing Folder. A TIP to prevent tears in the paper is to lightly mist the cardstock with water before running it through your die-cut machine.
  • Die-Cut Letters: The "good luck" sentiment was created using the BEE Playful Lowercase Alphabet Honey Cuts. TIP - For perfect letter alignment, use a straight edge or gridlines to align them, pick up the letters with low-tack tape, and adhere them by flipping the tape like a hinge to secure the letters in place.
  • Vellum Layers: Both cards include vellum frames to soften the backgrounds and create dimension. I used two different frame die sets for added variety.

A red gem-encrusted heart is at the center of the card, accented by additional small red gems for embellishment. The design is set against a backdrop of playing card elements and soft pink tones

Card 1: Pink Ombre Letters
  • Background: The embossed areas were enhanced by swiping a black ink pad across the raised portions for added depth.
  • Sentiment: I die-cut the letters from white glitter cardstock and ink-blended a soft pink ombre effect onto them.
  • Frame: The vellum background was die-cut using the Lovely Layers: Party Frame.
  • Embellishments: The central heart was bedazzled with red gems from the Real Rainbow Gem Stickers pack, and a few extra gems were added around the card for sparkle.

Tips and Tricks
  • Prevent Tearing: Always mist your cardstock lightly before embossing with a 3D folder.
  • Perfect Letter Alignment: Use gridlines or a straight edge to align your letters, then use low-tack tape to lift and position them easily.
  • Blending Gitter Cardstock: Ink blend on glitter cardstock to create custom colors to match, or create an ombre look.

Peppermint Village Sweet Christmas Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps

***Please note links in the post are no longer active, if you are looking for something specific use this link here to HONEY BEE STAMPS and search for the product listed. My apologies for the inconvenience ***

Welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps Cozy Christmas Release! Today, I’m sharing a charming gingerbread-inspired slimline card that’s bound to bring some holiday cheer. This project highlights the Peppermint Village Rubber Stamps and coordinating dies, alongside a cozy color palette to make everything feel extra warm and festive. (Please note links to new products will go live tonight after the Release Party (8pm Central) 10/28).

CARD RECIPE

Creating the Gingerbread Village Scene

For this card, I wanted to create a whimsical gingerbread village that looks like it's fresh out of a Christmas bakery. Each house was first stamped with Bee Creative Brilliant White Pigment Ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. This technique gives the designs a raised, frosted effect that’s perfect for capturing that classic gingerbread cookie look! To add a touch of color to some of the details on the gingerbread, I used Prismacolor Pencils. The images then were die cut using the coordinating dies.

Peppermint Village Sweet Christmas Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps

To create the layered snowbanks, I used an older die from my collection, the Horizon Slimline Borders. This die adds soft, rolling hills of snow, adding depth and dimension to the village scene. Each layer of snow is edged with chunky sparkle glitter to enhance that freshly fallen snow effect.

For the background, which comes from the Gingerbread Village Paper Pad, I chose a delicate polka dot pattern which adds a playful texture, making the scene even cozier.

Sentiment & Embellishments

The sweet sentiment, “Have a sweet Christmas,” is from the Sprinkled with Joy stamp set. Stamped in matching Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink, it blends beautifully into the snowy landscape while adding a warm holiday message.

For extra festive sparkle, I added Gingerbread Gem Stickers and adorable candy clay bits for pops of color. To mimic snow on the rooftops, I applied Fine Prisma Glitter, which captures light perfectly, giving each house a freshly frosted look. Chunky Glitter was added along the ground to create a snowy base, bringing a touch of winter magic to the card.

Building this little gingerbread village was a joy, and each detail adds to the cozy holiday feel. This Christmas card captures warmth, sweetness, and a touch of sparkle—the perfect combination for the season! I hope you find inspiration in this release and enjoy creating your own Peppermint Village.

Let me know if you try creating your own gingerbread village card—I’d love to see how you bring this sweet collection to life!

Thank you for stopping by and until next time... Happy Crafting!

Reindeer Games: Crafting a Fun and Festive Christmas Card | Picket Fence Studios

Picket Fence Studios, Reindeer at Play, Christmas card, card making, holiday crafting, Instagram hop, stamping techniques, copic coloring, Paper Glaze, die-cutting, A2 Simple Plaid Cover Plate, handmade cards, Arctic Fox Paper Glaze, crafting tips, holiday card ideas, cardmaking blog, September Release

Today, I'm excited to share a festive and playful card featuring products from the new September Release from Picket Fence Studios! This card is part of an Instagram hop, and one lucky winner will be randomly selected from the entire hop to win a $50 Gift Card, so make sure to join me on my Instagram account for a chance to win. This card was so much fun to create, using a blend of adorable stamps, dies, and some shimmer to bring it all together. Let’s dive into the details!

CARD RECIPE

Reindeer and Sentiment - Reindeer at Play Stamp and Die Set

Background - A2 Simple Plaid Cover Plate Die

Frame - A2 Saying Hello Cover Plate Die (older release)

Snow - Arctic Fox Paper Glaze

Embellishments - North Pole Gem Mix, Oh What Fun Sequin Mix

Ink - PFS Black Hybrid Ink Pad

Blue Sky - Life Changing Blender Brushes

Misti Insert - Paper Inking Palette - 5x6

Please note direct links for new products will be updated once post goes live.

Card Design Breakdown

For this card, the star of the show is the Reindeer at Play Stamp and Die Set. These little reindeer images are filled with personality and bring so much whimsy to a holiday card. I colored each of the images with Copic markers, giving them bright scarves and rosy cheeks to match their playful expressions. To make Rudolph stand out, I added a red gem from the North Pole Gem Mix to his nose for that iconic holiday sparkle!

The background features the A2 Simple Plaid Cover Plate Die, adding a clean and subtle texture behind the reindeer. I love the classic plaid design because it provides the perfect backdrop without taking away from the focal images. To frame everything, I used the A2 Saying Hello Cover Plate Die, which is an older product but still one of my favorites for creating defined sections on a card front.

Tip for Quick and Easy Stamping

One of my favorite time-saving tricks when working with multiple images is to stamp them all at once. Rather than removing each stamp from the carrier sheet, I placed the entire set face down in my MISTI tool, keeping them on the carrier sheet. I secured them using the PFS Paper Inking Palette. Then, I positioned my cardstock over the stamps and taped it to the MISTI door. This allowed me to ink up and stamp all the images in one go using the PFS Black Hybrid Ink Pad.

Once the images were stamped, I left the paper secured to the MISTI door while I colored them with Copic markers. After all the coloring was done, I restamped the images to get a clean, crisp black outline, which really makes them pop. Then, I die-cut the images with the coordinating die set.

Fun Snow Details with Paper Glaze

To create a wintery scene, I wanted to add some snow underneath the reindeer. I mixed a little Arctic Fox Paper Glaze in a small plastic baggy and piped on some snow mounds for dimension. While the glaze was still wet, I sprinkled a bit of fine glitter on top for an extra frosty look. It’s such a simple touch but adds so much depth and sparkle to the card!

Final Touches

For the sleigh, I couldn’t resist adding more festive details! The Oh What Fun Sequin Mix includes some adorable Christmas pinwheels, which I placed in the sleigh to give it a cheerful and festive look. These little touches help bring everything together, adding pops of color and shine that elevate the overall design.

And there you have it—a playful, sparkly Christmas card that’s sure to bring joy to whoever receives it! I hope this project inspires you to dive into your holiday card-making. Let me know in the comments below if you have any questions!

Falloween Release Sneak Peeks Day 2 | Honey Bee Stamps

how to, hand made card, Stamps, stamping, die cutting, card making, ilovedoingallthingscraftym Falloween Release, Shaker Card, Spider, Interactive, Rainbow, Web,3D Blackout Embossing Folder Technique,

Today is Day 2 of the Falloween Release Sneak Peeks and I'm excited to share a playful and interactive shaker card that I created using some of the latest products. This card is perfect for sending a little Halloween cheer to someone special. Please note links are inactive until the Falloween Release goes live on August 23rd after the Live Release Party on YouTube at 8 pm EST.

CARD RECIPE

Spider - Lovely Layers: Scaredy Cat Dies

Spider Eyes - Sweet and Spooky Pearl Stickers

Background - Spider Web 3D Embossing Folder

Sentiment - Too Cute to Spook Dies

Frame - Layering Vintage Labels Frames

Shaker bits - Black Opal Confetti Mix, Aurora Lights Confetti Mix

Shaker - A2 Shaker Pockets

Background Magic:

I started with the Spider Web 3D Embossing Folder to create the spooky web background. Using the blackout technique, I blended yellow, pink, and blue inks from Inkon3 into the reversed embossed areas of the Tangled Web 3D Embossing Folder. The colors give a vibrant yet eerie glow, perfect for a Halloween-themed card.

Adding the Shaker Element:

To bring in some fun, I created a shaker element using the A2 Shaker Pockets. I filled the shaker with a mix of Black Opal Confetti Mix and Aurora Lights Confetti Mix. The iridescent confetti adds a playful shimmer that catches the light beautifully.

how to, hand made card, Stamps, stamping, die cutting, card making, ilovedoingallthingscraftym Falloween Release, Shaker Card, Spider, Interactive, Rainbow, Web,3D Blackout Embossing Folder Technique,

Focal Point & Sentiment:

The sentiment "Too Cute to Spook" is die-cut using the Too Cute to Spook Dies. I layered the sentiment onto a vellum shadow layer and glued it to the shaker, allowing it to stand out against the vibrant background.

For an extra touch of spookiness, I added a cute spider from the Lovely Layers: Scaredy Cat Dies. I used Sweet and Spooky Pearl Stickers for the spider's eyes, giving it an adorable yet mischievous look.

Framing It All:

Now, to fix a mistake I made I added the frame around the shaker pocket. Sadly I trimmed the background a little too much and you could see some of the adhesive of the pocket. So to salvage this I added a frame that I then used it to hang the Spider off of. The frame ties everything together and also gives the card a polished finished look.

This card is a delightful mix of spooky and cute, making it perfect for Halloween. The combination of the blackout technique, playful shaker elements, and the charming spider adds a fun and festive vibe to the design. I hope this card inspires you to create your own Falloween-themed projects using Honey Bee Stamps' latest release!

Masculine Travel Themed Birthday Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Travel-Themed, Masculine Birthday,Honey Bee Stamps, Card Making, Handmade, DIY,Adventure,Die Cutting, Stamping,Travel,Paper Crafting,Creative Card Designs, ilovedoingallthingscrafty,Sunkissed Summer,

Hello friends!

Crafting a unique and personalized birthday card can be a delightful journey, especially when it reflects the recipient's interests. This card was made for my husband who loves travelling an exploring the new places. Our next adventure will be taking our family to New YorkCity. Cant wait!

Today, I’m sharing a tutorial for this masculine travel-themed birthday card featuring Honey Bee Stamps supplies. This card is perfect for any adventurous spirit who loves to explore the world.

CARD RECIPE

Prepare the Card Base:
    • Start with a standard A7 card base. I did end up trimming about 1/4" off the top an bottom of the finished panel.

 Create the Background:

Travel-Themed, Masculine Birthday,Honey Bee Stamps, Card Making, Handmade, DIY,Adventure,Die Cutting, Stamping,Travel,Paper Crafting,Creative Card Designs, ilovedoingallthingscrafty,Sunkissed Summer,

Build the Focal Point:

    • Use the Sweet Stacks: Circles Dies to cut a circles from the center of the Aviator Stamped images piece. And another circle for the background layer. Glue the stamped layer onto the solid background colored layer. This will create an elevated focal point of the card.
    • Die cut the "Time to Go" sentiment using the Time to Go Postcard Dies from both white and black card stock. Glue the black layer onto the white layer, slightly shifted to create a shadow layer. Add glossy accents to give it a shiny, dimensional finish. Set aside.
    • Select a pattern piece from the Grab Your Passport Paper Pad featuring travel tickets and cut them out. Organize the ticket layout around the opening of the card front. Glue them in place, use foam to elevate and create dimension on some of the tickets.
    • Adhere the finished Time to Go circle die cut to the card base using Black Foam Dots 1/4" for dimension.

Add Finishing Touches:

    • Embellish the front with Grab Your Passport Gem Stickers to add a touch of sparkle.
    • Use a punch tool and add an eyelet to one of the tickets. I used the NYC one as that is where we are going next and added a piece of twine to the top with a simple knot.

Finisih the Inside:
