Falloween Release Sneak Peeks Day 2 | Honey Bee Stamps

Today is Day 2 of the Falloween Release Sneak Peeks and I'm excited to share a playful and interactive shaker card that I created using some of the latest products. This card is perfect for sending a little Halloween cheer to someone special. Background Magic:

I started with the Spider Web 3D Embossing Folder to create the spooky web background. Using the blackout technique, I blended yellow, pink, and blue inks from Inkon3 into the reversed embossed areas of the Tangled Web 3D Embossing Folder. The colors give a vibrant yet eerie glow, perfect for a Halloween-themed card.

Adding the Shaker Element:

To bring in some fun, I created a shaker element using the A2 Shaker Pockets. I filled the shaker with a mix of Black Opal Confetti Mix and Aurora Lights Confetti Mix. The iridescent confetti adds a playful shimmer that catches the light beautifully.

Focal Point & Sentiment:

The sentiment "Too Cute to Spook" is die-cut using the Too Cute to Spook Dies. I layered the sentiment onto a vellum shadow layer and glued it to the shaker, allowing it to stand out against the vibrant background.

For an extra touch of spookiness, I added a cute spider from the Lovely Layers: Scaredy Cat Dies. I used Sweet and Spooky Pearl Stickers for the spider's eyes, giving it an adorable yet mischievous look.

Framing It All:

Now, to fix a mistake I made I added the frame around the shaker pocket. Sadly I trimmed the background a little too much and you could see some of the adhesive of the pocket. So to salvage this I added a frame that I then used it to hang the Spider off of. The frame ties everything together and also gives the card a polished finished look.

This card is a delightful mix of spooky and cute, making it perfect for Halloween. The combination of the blackout technique, playful shaker elements, and the charming spider adds a fun and festive vibe to the design. Birthday Wishes from the Herd Card | Picket Fence Studios

Hello Friends, 

Today's card is part of the Picket Fence Studios June Release Instagram Hop. I am not sure how realistic this card is but thankful for creative expression, who knows maybe the giraffes have also seen them!

• To start I used the Fabulous Toner Foil Striped Rainbow to foil the background for this card
• Die cut a few layers using the Scene Building Dies: Mountains out of black cardstock
• With my fingertips, I applied the Paper Glaze Brass Doorknob to the mountain peaks

• Stamped out and heat embossed the giraffes and sentiment from the From Our Entire Herd Stamps and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out
• To add some twinkle in the sky, I added some Mixed Sound Waves Gems

• Ink blend the background using the Road Map Stencil and Distress Oxides - Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Broken China
• Die-cut layers of clouds for the bottom of the card, leaving space for a sentiment from the Plane Awesome Stamps
• Add the die cuts plane and hearts from the Lovely Layers: Globe Dies
• Using a black fine-tip marker add the trail using the Air Traffic Stencil
• Finish by adding some Travel Pearl Stickers to the Road map

European Inspired Umbrella Canopy Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my friends!

During our European trip last year, we saw numerous narrow streets adorned with vibrant canopies of colorful umbrellas. They provide a welcoming shade from the scorching summer sun. Today's European-inspired umbrella Canopy card design draws inspiration from these beautiful memories and features the umbrella die from the Lovely Layers: April Showers set from Honey Bee Stamps. Here is a photo of my daughter under one of the beautiful canopies in Italy.

CARD RECIPE

Umbrellas - Lovely Layers: April Showers - Honey Cuts

Stamp - Blessings Of Spring

Coordination die - Blessings Of Spring - Honey Cuts

Ink - Bee Creative Intense Black Ink Pad

This card was simple to make as most of it was die-cutting and assembly. 

UMBRELLAS

• Die-cut the umbrella in the desired rainbow cardstock colors. 
• Add a layer of light shading under the umbrella canopy using dark ink.
• Piece together the umbrellas, adding foam on the smallest top layer of the umbrella.

CARDBASE

• Glue a trimmed light blue cardstock lined with foam onto a 5x7 card base.
• Arrange the umbrellas in rainbow order and glue them onto the card front. I used press and seal to keep the umbrellas in place while I added adhesive to the back. 

STAMP

• Stamp out the Blessings Of Spring sentiment using Bee Creative Intense Black Ink Pad.
• Die cut using the sentiment using the Blessings Of Spring coordinating Dies.
• Add foam to the sentiment and glue it in place.

FINISHING DETAILS

• I added clear acrylic raindrops as a whimsical touch. Sorry, the ones I used are no longer available but I will link some similar ones here and below.

Butterfly Rainbow Shaker Card | Picket Fence Studios

Hello, my friends. Hope you are having a wonderful week.

I don't know about you but I am ready for Spring. I'm tired of the cold and can't wait for the rain, rainbows, and all the joys that Spring brings. Just take a look at the colorful butterfly card I'm sharing today—it says it all!

Black Ink - Black Hybrid Ink Pad

To start, I trimmed the shaker panel using one of the frames from the A2 rectangles for card layering set. Then to ensure that there would be absolutely no movement when stamping, I inserted the Paper Inking Palette - 5x6 into my Misti. For it to fit nicely, I did trim off a little edge around the palette. I then added the panel to the ink palette, it should stick nicely to the palette without the use of magnets or tape. Next, I used a circle die to plan out the butterfly ring. I placed all of the butterfly stamps on the top half of the circle die to form an semi-circle, I then picked up the stamps with the lid of the Misti and removed the die in preparation for stamping.

Using the Pint-sized Paper Pouncers I began transferring the ink to each butterfly by pouncing ink onto the stamps creating gradient colors of the rainbow, and stamping the images one at a time. Wiping the ink off if necessary from the stamps if I didn't want the colors to blend. Once I was done stamping the top semi-circle, I cleaned off all the stamps and rotated the panel to continue stamping the rest of the rainbow circle.

Now that the rainbow butterflies were complete, I then stamped out the sentiment using Black Hybrid Ink Pad. I then created a shaker pocket using the Shaker Sheets that I wrapped around the panel. Before securing the last flap I added the Iridescent Moonshine Sequin Mix. To the back of the panel, I added a foam backing adhesive. Finally, I glued the shaker panel to a card base that I had blended out rainbow ink to the edges.
