Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Blessings Blog Hop | Day 2 + Giveaway

Happy Weekend Friends and welcome to Day 2 of Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Release!

I just got back from vacation so I missed out on the inspiration week but have a few fun cards to share with you today. If you love Fall like I do you are going to love this release, it is amazing! So let's show you my cards first and then I will fill you in later with Hop details and prizes.

Many moons ago, (21 years next month) I got married in the Fall. It has always been my favorite season and the inspiration for my first card today. Although I was thinking of my own Anniversary I think this card would also make a great Wedding Card.

CARD DETAILS

I began by this card by stamping out both the WOODGRAIN BACKGROUND and the GRATEFUL HEART onto Bristol paper and then heat setting the watermark ink with a gold embossing powder.

I then colored the little images in with Zig Clean Color Brush markers. Once dry I die cut the heart using the coordinating GRATEFUL HEART | HONEY CUTS.

Next, I die cut the FALL | HONEY CUTS, glued and stacked them. I cut the shadow layer out using gold glitter. I also stamped out the In Love from the FALL stamp set that I embossed in white on black cardstock. For embellishments, I wrapped some twine across the card and added a couple of the SOCIAL BUTTERFLY butterflies to which I glued on some gems from the PERFECT PETALS GEM STICKERS.

For this next card, I began by blending out the background using distress oxide inks onto Bristol paper. I then spritzed the paper and picked up the water with a paper towel. I set this aside to completely dry before coming back to it and finishing it off with the BEE KIND from the WOW! + HONEY BEE EMBOSSING POWDER TRIO To complete the background I die cut it out using the frame from the DECKLE EDGE A2 HONEY CUTS set.

The compass comes from the new LOST WITHOUT YOU stamp set that I stamped multiple times in black ink and also a watermark ink that I then embossed using gold embossing powder. I then used coordinating dies to either die cut some of the pieces or cut out some of the images I had stamped out previously.

For the sentiment, I used the EXPLORE stamp and the HONEY CUTS.

And for an extra pop of color, I added some hearts that I die cut using the STACKING HEARTS | HONEY CUTS. I then finished them off by adding some glossy accents.

Big Bold Magnolias Blog Hop | Ink on 3 New Release

Hello, my friends!

It has been a little while since my last post, just got back from our summer vacation and have lots to catch up on so will be sharing more with you all soon! Today Ink On 3 is celebrating their newest stamp set Big Bold Magnolias with a Blog Hop. One of the magnolias might look familiar since it's featured in our Heels to You set. Because it's been so popular, Ink On 3 has decided to dedicate an entire stamp set to it!

Plus, we are also officially introducing and welcoming the New Ink On 3 Creative Team! SO excited be amongst all this talent!

CARD DETAILS

Magnolias are just gorgeous and they smell amazing, I just think they are an elegant flower and so I chose to make a very clean elegant looking card.

For my card, I used the largest magnolia stamp from the BIG BOLD MAGNOLIAS set and then built it up by adding some leaves and a flower bud by doing some masking. I used BLACKOUT INK to stamp out the Magnolia and then created a mask from a post-it note using the coordinating die to cover it up. (I'm too lazy to fussy cut it so I would rather use a pen after to connect the lines, plus it saves time ;)

I then stamped the bud as shown and the leaves all around the Magnolia, removed the mask and connected any lines that were missing because of the masking. I then used Copic Markers to color in the images. Here is a picture of the markers I used (missing the 0 Blender Marker).

I then inked up the Fabulous sentiment form the DOGWOOD FLOWER stamp set using JUICY INK and then used GOLD RUSH embossing powder to heat set it.

To complete the sentiment, I die cut the Hello from the DOGWOOD FLOWER coordinating die set and added a few layers of BLACK AS NIGHT embossing powder by inking it up with JUICY INK again.

I finished off the card by painting on a layer of LIQUID PIXIE DUST on the magnolia petals using a small tip water brush pen that I had prefilled with the sparkly goodness.

To the center of the flower, I added glossy accents and then finished the card by adding a few black crystals.
