Hello Friends and welcome to Day 2 of the Honey Bee Stamps Brie Mine Blog Hop. If you have arrived from the uber talented Carly's Blog you are on the right track. I'll fill you in on where to go next at the end of this post. Today I have a couple of cards from the latest Brie Mine Release to share with you so let's get started.
CARD DETAILS
I began creating this card by picking out the patterned paper for the cupcake liners. Then using the Cupcake Builder, I die cut an assortment of different flavors using colored card stock. I then wanted to add some fruit toppings to the top of each of them so I stamped out a few cherries and strawberries from Mae the Mouse set, colored them in with Copic markers and then die cut them with their coordinating dies. Next, I pieced and glued each cupcake together and set them aside to work on the card base.
I wanted this card scene to look like the cupcakes were outside on a picnic table. So I began by cutting a strip of yellow paper about 1.5 inches by the width of the card which measures 8.5 inches. I then stamped the gingham pattern across the paper using a watermark ink and brushed over the top with perfect pearls to add a hint shine to the design. Once that was done I added the scalloped edge to the bottom of the "tablecloth" using the Background Builder Scallop Die.
To the sky, I blended out Broken China Distress Oxide Ink just along the top edge of the card leaving white space in the center of the panel.
The sentiments I used come from the Piece of Cupcake and the Friendship stamp sets. I then just used the coordinating Friendship Dies to die cut the word Friend. The hearts die cuts also come from the from the Friendship Die set.
To finish and embellish the card, I added glossy accents, Stickles glitter glue, foam sprinkles, clay white and pink hearts and Unicorn Rhinestones.
On the inside, I stamped a few of the sentiments from the Friendship set.

For my second card, I began with blending Distress Oxide Inks onto Bristol Paper. Once the ink was dry I stamped out the sentiment from the Friendship Stamp set in the center and heat embossed the letters in silver.
Next, I die cut the panel using the Deckle Edge Frame and then also die cut a few of the Stacking Stars around the card to frame the sentiment. I then filled any empty spaces with stamped stars, Rhinestones and a spray of white splatter drops.
I then popped the panel using foam tape on to another piece of cardstock that I had added Glimmer Paste to just underneath where each star would be peaking through and then glued that to a back A2 landscape card base.
