About me

Hello and welcome to my Blog! I started blogging mainly because I wanted to keep track of all the projects and handcrafted gifts that I have made over the years. Hopefully, by sharing my work I can inspire other craft addicts like myself.

Fun fact: I love taking pictures of others, but am very camera-shy!

Anyways, I live in Edmonton, AB, Canada! I was born in Portugal and immigrated here with my parents when I was two. I have a 17-year-old daughter, a 19-year-old son, and a very supportive and loving hubby! When I'm not wearing the mom, wife, cook, cleaning lady, taxi driver, crafter hat... I'm probably wearing my nurse hat. I have been an Oncology Nurse for the last 25 years and truly love it! Nursing is wonderful and it pays the bills but it doesn't satisfy my creative hunger!

Other than being addicted to paper crafting I also love cake decorating, painting, photography and so much more. Anything crafty I'm all over it! I'm always looking for stuff to create... hubby says I like to make work :)

I would describe myself as practical, sensible, careful, loyal, creative, modest, and usually positive... always looking for beauty and good in everything.

I do when possible use affiliate links in my blog posts to indicate the products I have used for my project. This helps you shop and in turn, gives me a small commission if you purchase directly by clicking on my links. This is what helps keep my blog running because as you all know crafting is a very expensive hobby! So thank you all in advance for your support!

Please feel free to leave me your comments. I would love to hear from you. Also please give credit where credit is due. If you are inspired by any of my creations please link back to this blog! My hope is to inspire you... as many of you have inspired me!

Thanks for stopping by and come back soon,
Ilda

  1. Hi Ilda,
I love that you are a nurse. I am studying for my boards. Being an oncology nurse takes quite a strength of character. God bless your heart for doing it.

    1. Hi Luciane! The file should be good, check the other tabs at the top of the page. There should be other pages with a box and the the rectangle is the liner of the box. Hope that helps. Sorry for the late reply, was away on vacay!

  7. Hi Ilda! just found your svg for Minecraft Creeper. I cut the svg with my Cricut, but need help with the 5 green colored pieces I cut out. 3 are small boxes, 1 is tall slender, and the 4th one is short and much bigger than the 3 little ones. How do they go together? Which ones complete one Creeper? Thank you in advance for your reply!
