Reindeer New Year Card with Bokeh Design | Honey Bee Stamps

Handmade New Year card with bokeh background, die-cut reindeer, layered greenery, 'Happy' sentiment, '2025' numbers, pearl accents, glitter details, and a scalloped frame design. Honey Bee Stamps

Hello crafty friends! Can you believe it, 2024 is coming to an end? Where did the time go!?

Today I’m excited to share a festive New Year card featuring adorable Honey Bee Stamps products. If you’re looking for inspiration to create a card that shines and spreads cheer, this design combines layered die cuts, a glowing bokeh background, and elegant embellishments.

CARD RECIPE

1. Creating the Bokeh Background
To start, I created a stencil template using the Sweet Stacks: Circles - Honey Cuts. With my template in place, I blended white and silver pigment inks onto a dark cardstock background using my Blender Brushes. This created a soft and glowing bokeh light effect that adds depth and magic.

2. Die Cutting the Frame and Focal Elements
I then die cut the elegant scalloped frame using the Lovely Layouts: Party Frames - Honey Cuts. For the centerpiece, I die cut the Vintage Reindeer in layers and pieced it together, bringing this cute character to life.

I added festive greenery using the Mini Holiday Florals dies, which I enhanced with Prisma Glitter for an icy sparkle.

3. Assembling the Sentiments
For the “Happy” sentiment and the year “2025,” I used Great Greetings: Holiday and Bee Narrow Uppercase Alpha dies. To add dimension, I die cut two additional black layers for each element, stacked them together, and adhered them to the card. This extra layering really makes the sentiments pop!

4. Finishing Touches
For sparkle and shine:
I brushed glue onto the fern-like greenery and sprinkled it with Prisma Glitter.
I added Cool Pearl Stickers for a touch of dimension and elegance.
To complete the reindeer’s adorable look, I added Glossy Accents to the nose and eye for a shiny finish.

I hope you’re inspired to create your own version of this card. If you do, I’d love to see what you make—be sure to tag me and share your projects. Let’s ring in the new year with creativity and sparkle!

Happy crafting and Happy New Year!

Mini Holiday Floral Shaker Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Festive holiday shaker card featuring layered pink and red floral die-cuts, a textured brick background, gingham patterned paper in the shaker window, and a "Happy Holidays" sentiment. Embellished with pearl stickers and glitter for added sparkle.

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I'm sharing a festive shaker card I created for Honey Bee Stamps using mostly new goodies from the Cozy Christmas Release. This project combines some lovely floral layers with a cozy, textured background, perfect for sending "Happy Holidays" wishes. Let’s dive into the details of how I brought this card to life!

CARD RECIPE
  • Layering Vintage Labels Honey Cuts – Frame for the shaker window
  • Rustic Brick Wall 3D Embossing Folder – Embossed background
  • Gingerbread Village Paper Pad – Background patterned paper
  • Cello Sheets – To create the shaker window
  • Great Greetings: Holiday Honey Cuts – Sentiment
  • Lovely Layers: Mini Holiday Florals Honey Cuts – Floral elements
  • Bee Creative Clear Embossing Ink & Clear Embossing Powder – For the sentiment's glossy finish
  • Gingerbread Pearl Stickers – As embellishments
  • Prisma Glitter – Added sparkle to the florals
  • Iridescent Chunky Confetti – For the shaker filler (discontinued product, link to similar product)
  • Copic Pigment - White Splatter

  • Lovely Layered Florals

For a beautiful floral touch, I used the Lovely Layers: Mini Holiday Florals Honey CutsAfter die-cutting, I ink-blended each piece and added extra depth with Copic markers, and then I splattered white ink to enhance the wintry feel. Once assembled, I set the floral elements aside to work on the shaker frame.

    Creating the Shaker Front

To create the front of the shaker, I die-cut the largest frame from the Layering Vintage Labels Honey Cuts out of white cardstock. Next, I ran it through the Rustic Brick Wall 3D Embossing Folder to add cozy brick detailing to the card front. Then I set this piece aside while I prepared the background.

    Building the Background

For warmth and a rustic touch, I selected a charming gingham pattern from the Gingerbread Village Paper Pad for the background. I trimmed the paper slightly larger than the window opening, added the shaker bits in the center, and adhered a cello sheet over the area using liquid glue along the perimeter. Since these shaker bits add minimal bulk, foam tape wasn’t necessary. Finally, I attached this piece behind the shaker window, creating a charming holiday scene, and adhered it to the card base.

Festive holiday shaker card featuring layered pink and red floral die-cuts, a textured brick background, gingham patterned paper in the shaker window, and a "Happy Holidays" sentiment. Embellished with pearl stickers and glitter for added sparkle.

    Adding the Florals

With the shaker component in place, I arranged the floral elements from the previous steps around the card. I used foam adhesive to elevate some of the pieces, giving the design depth and dimension.

    Sentiment

For the "Happy Holidays" sentiment, I used the Great Greetings: Holiday Honey Cuts. To give the letters a glossy, dimensional look, I applied Bee Creative Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. This subtle shine makes the sentiment pop against the background, adding thickness and rigidity to the die cuts.

    Final Touches
For the finishing touches, I applied Prisma Glitter to parts of the florals, adding a festive sparkle. I also used Gingerbread Pearl Stickers as embellishments to enhance the holiday feel. These small details bring the card to life, making it perfect for spreading holiday cheer!

Cozy Christmas Window Scene Bridge Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Handmade Christmas card featuring a cozy winter window scene, created with Honey Bee Stamps Cozy Christmas release products. The card has a 3D bridge design with an arched window decorated with poinsettias, holly, and icicles, along with a Christmas tree inside adorned with red pearl stickers as ornaments. A white brick embossed background enhances the cozy look, with a glittery snow effect on the roof. The sentiment reads 'Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night' in festive red script.

Hello, crafty friends! Today, I’m excited to share a special Christmas card featuring some beautiful new products from Honey Bee Stamps’ Cozy Christmas release. Inspired by Jennifer McGuire, I created this dimensional bridge card with a cozy winter window scene, perfect for spreading holiday cheer.

And there’s more exciting news! This card is part of an Instagram hop with two $50 gift cards up for grabs! Head over to my Instagram page to hop along and enter for a chance to win.

    SUPPLIES

  • Lovely Layers: Window - Honey Cuts (Window and Balcony)
  • Lovely Layers: Window Holiday Add-On - Honey Cuts (Christmas Details)
  • Wonder Of Christmas Stamp Set (Sentiment)
  • Wonder Of Christmas - Honey Cuts (Sentiment Dies)
  • Wood Planks - 3D Embossing Folder (Embossed Background Details)
  • Gingerbread - Pearl Stickers (Christmas Balls)
  • Fine Prisma Glitter and Chunky Glitter (for the snowy details)
  • Inks - Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Inks (ink blending), Picked Raspberry Distress Ink (sentiment)
  • Dimension - Glossy Accents (balls) Foam Dots (elevate window)
  • How to Create This Card

    Creating the Bridge Card Base
To start, I cut a piece of cardstock to 5.5 x 5.5 inches for the card base. I then scored each side at the 1-inch mark and again at 1.75 inches on each side. This scoring creates the bridge card structure, which stands up beautifully and folds flat for easy mailing. After folding along the score lines, I set it aside while preparing the other elements.

    Embossed Background Panel
I wanted the background to resemble the outside of a cozy, snow-covered house, so I used the Wood Planks - 3D Embossing Folder to add woodgrain texture to a piece of cardstock. Before cutting this panel to fit each layer of the card base, I lightly ink-blended Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink over the embossed areas. This added a touch of depth and helped the texture pop! I then cut and attached the embossed background panels to the various layers of the card base, creating a complete and cohesive scene.

    Building the Window Scene
The centerpiece of this card is, of course, the beautiful window scene. I die-cut the window and balcony using the Lovely Layers: Window - Honey Cuts. The intricate details of the balcony add so much elegance, while the layered design of the window provides a realistic, cozy look. For the Christmas decor, I used the Lovely Layers: Window Holiday Add-On dies, which include holly leaves, poinsettias, and other festive elements to adorn the window and balcony.

    Adding Snowy and Sparkly Details
To bring a touch of winter magic, I used a combination of Fine Prisma Glitter on the lights and Chunky Glitter along the icicles and window trim, creating the look of fresh snow. The shimmer adds such a festive touch! The Christmas balls on the tree were created using Gingerbread Pearl Stickers, giving the appearance of ornaments that reflect the warm glow from the inside.

    Adding the Sentiment
I used the Wonder Of Christmas Stamp Set for the sentiment, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night," and die cut it with the coordinating Wonder Of Christmas - Honey Cuts. I love how this sentiment ties together the cozy, classic Christmas vibe of the card.

A white brick embossed background enhances the cozy look, with a glittery snow effect on the roof. The sentiment reads 'Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night' in festive red script.

    6. Assembling the Card
Once all the pieces were ready, I adhered the window edges to each side of the bridge card base. This allowed the window to "pop" as the focal point of the card and gave the design a three-dimensional look.

Peppermint Village Sweet Christmas Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps

***Please note links in the post are no longer active, if you are looking for something specific use this link here to HONEY BEE STAMPS and search for the product listed. My apologies for the inconvenience ***

Welcome to the Honey Bee Stamps Cozy Christmas Release! Today, I’m sharing a charming gingerbread-inspired slimline card that’s bound to bring some holiday cheer. This project highlights the Peppermint Village Rubber Stamps and coordinating dies, alongside a cozy color palette to make everything feel extra warm and festive. (Please note links to new products will go live tonight after the Release Party (8pm Central) 10/28).

    CARD RECIPE

    Creating the Gingerbread Village Scene

For this card, I wanted to create a whimsical gingerbread village that looks like it's fresh out of a Christmas bakery. Each house was first stamped with Bee Creative Brilliant White Pigment Ink and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. This technique gives the designs a raised, frosted effect that’s perfect for capturing that classic gingerbread cookie look! To add a touch of color to some of the details on the gingerbread, I used Prismacolor Pencils. The images then were die cut using the coordinating dies.

Peppermint Village Sweet Christmas Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps

To create the layered snowbanks, I used an older die from my collection, the Horizon Slimline Borders. This die adds soft, rolling hills of snow, adding depth and dimension to the village scene. Each layer of snow is edged with chunky sparkle glitter to enhance that freshly fallen snow effect.

For the background, which comes from the Gingerbread Village Paper Pad, I chose a delicate polka dot pattern which adds a playful texture, making the scene even cozier.

    Sentiment & Embellishments

The sweet sentiment, “Have a sweet Christmas,” is from the Sprinkled with Joy stamp set. Stamped in matching Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink, it blends beautifully into the snowy landscape while adding a warm holiday message.

For extra festive sparkle, I added Gingerbread Gem Stickers and adorable candy clay bits for pops of color. To mimic snow on the rooftops, I applied Fine Prisma Glitter, which captures light perfectly, giving each house a freshly frosted look. Chunky Glitter was added along the ground to create a snowy base, bringing a touch of winter magic to the card.

Building this little gingerbread village was a joy, and each detail adds to the cozy holiday feel. This Christmas card captures warmth, sweetness, and a touch of sparkle—the perfect combination for the season! I hope you find inspiration in this release and enjoy creating your own Peppermint Village.

Let me know if you try creating your own gingerbread village card—I’d love to see how you bring this sweet collection to life!

Heart Shape Tree Stump Card | Picket Fence Studios

    Hello crafty friends!

I’m excited to share a heart-shaped card I created using some fabulous products from Picket Fence Studios' new October release. This unique design is perfect for celebrating a special couple or a meaningful occasion, like an engagement or wedding.

    CARD RECIPE

Heart Shaped Card Base and Tree Stump - Vintage Heart Stamps & Dies

Vellum Stamped Images - Graceful Magnolias Stamps & Dies

Sentiment - Vintage Heart Stamps & Dies

Heart shape tree stump card, Picket Fence Studios October release, gold heat embossing, vellum heat embossing, wedding card, engagement card, rustic card design, personalized card, cheers my friend dies, graceful magnolias stamps, vintage heart stump die, handmade cards, cardmaking techniques, DIY wedding cards, floral accents on vellum

    Vintage Heart Stump Die

To create the base of the card, I used the Vintage Heart Stump Die. I positioned the die over a folded square card base, ensuring the top of the heart slightly extended beyond the fold. After running it through my die-cut machine, this created a heart-shaped card with a hinged top. Next, I die-cut another heart from a separate piece of cardstock, stamped it using the Vintage Heart Stamps with intricate woodgrain details, and heat-embossed it in gold. The golden embossing brings a stunning, rustic elegance, and the shimmer beautifully highlights the wood grain texture, making the heart truly stand out.

    Graceful Magnolias Stamps and Dies

To soften the card, I stamped Graceful Magnolias and die-cut some floral accents on vellum using the Graceful Magnolias set. I then used the same heart die from the Vintage Heart Stump cut out the edge so that they lined up with the heart-shaped edge. These were heat embossed in white for a delicate, airy feel. I love how the white embossing on vellum contrasts with the rich gold of the heart, creating a beautiful balance of bold and soft.

    Cheers My Friend Word Dies

I added bold, striking letters "C + S" using the Cheers My Friend Word Dies for a pop of color and personalization. The vibrant red really stands out against the neutral tones of the rest of the card. I love how customizable this die set is, making it easy to create cards for any occasion.

    Sentiment and Embellishments

I finished off the card with a simple "Congratulations" sentiment from Vintage Heart Stamps & Dies
and a few small gems to add a touch of sparkle using the Day and Night Gems, pulling the whole design together.

This heart-shaped card is not only unique but also elegant and versatile, perfect for weddings, engagements, or even anniversaries. The combination of gold and white embossing adds a luxurious touch, while the vibrant red initials make the card personal and memorable.

Hello My Friend Card | Picket Fence Studios October Release

Picket Fence Studios, October 2024 Release, friendship card, handmade card, Instagram hop, giveaway, Baby Critters Stamps, Beyond Basics A2 Rectangle Dies, Cheers My Friend Word Dies, Hello To You Word Dies, heart cover plate, Thunderstorm Gems, Yellow Primerose Paper Glaze, Huckleberry Paper Glaze, cardmaking, papercraft, DIY

Hello Friends, yes I am back with another card today! 2 posts in one day... feast or famine around here, lol!

This time I’m excited to share this sweet friendship card I made using some of the fabulous products from the new Picket Fence Studios October 2024 Release! This card is also part of an Instagram hop, where TWO lucky winners will be chosen! One winner will receive a $50 Gift Card, and the other will win a Paper Pouncers Bundle! 🎁

It was a joy combining these new and older items to create a heartfelt “hello, my friend” card, perfect for sending love and connection to a dear friend.

    CARD RECIPE

Quilted Heart Frame - Beyond Basics A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Dies

Stamped Cuties - Baby Critters Stamps and Dies
Largest background panel -Yellow Primerose Paper Glaze
Second Panel - Huckleberry Paper Glaze

    Card Details:

    Heart Cover Plate Background:
To start, I used the Beyond Basics A2 Rectangle and Cover Plate Dies, choosing the heart cover plate layer for the background. The delicate, repeated heart pattern adds a whimsical and heartwarming touch to the card. For a pop of color, I die-cut this layer in white cardstock and backed it with a beautiful blue panel created with Huckleberry Paper Glaze. This contrast of blue with white really highlights the hearts!

    Adorable Critters:
The sweet little critters are from the Baby Critters Stamps and Dies set (an older Picket Fence Studios product). I stamped and colored these cuties, giving them soft, warm tones with Copic markers to add extra cuteness. I adhered them to the card with foam adhesive for dimension, placing them above the sentiment. To make the critters even more lovable, I added a tiny pink heart die-cut between them, fitting perfectly into one of the heart openings from the cover plate.

    Lovely Sentiment Layers:
For the sentiment, I used two different die sets to create a layered greeting. The bold "hello" is from the Hello To You Word Die Set (older product), cut in black and adhered to a layer of vellum for softness. Below that, I added "my friend" using the Cheers My Friend Word Die Set from this new release. The combination of these two word dies makes for a friendly and inviting sentiment that anchors the card.

    Background Layers:
For the base layer, I used Yellow Primerose Paper Glaze, which brings in a soft, glowing yellow hue. It gives a cheerful, sunny vibe to the card and plays nicely with the Huckleberry Paper Glaze. I love how the paper glazes create a smooth and polished look while offering rich, bold color.

    Sparkling Finishing Touches:
No card is complete without a little sparkle! I used Thunderstorm Gems scattered around the cover plate layer to add a bit of shine and bling. These gems catch the light beautifully, enhancing the overall card design without overpowering the sentiment or critters.

This card is a sweet way to send a heartfelt greeting, and the new products from the Picket Fence Studios October Release made it easy and fun to create! I hope this card inspires you to craft your own projects and connect with friends through the art of cardmaking.
