Gumball Machine Shaped Birthday Card

 Hey Everyone!

Today I have a  couple of cute cards I made for some upcoming birthdays. I thought it would be fun use this gumball machine file and turn it into a shaker card. I had never done a shaker card before and thought it would be cool!

How cute did this card turn out?! I absolutely love it!
Can't wait to make some more shaker cards!!!
SO fun and interactive, I'm sure the kids will love it!

The file for this card comes from SVG Cuts An Afternoon at Auntie Elaine's SVG Collection.

To create the shaker portion of the card, I used a foam layer that I cut using the Silhouette Cameo. TIP: To cut foam I just set my speed to the slowest setting and my blade to the deepest setting and used a double cut. Worked really well but didn't cut all the way through. So I slowly pulled away the foam shape around the cut lines and it tore really easily! Next time I think I will try doing another double cut with out moving or unloading the mat.

For this card, before gluing together the back layer of the gumball machine I stamped it with a cute stamp from Craftin Desert Divas - Happy Celebrations

For this next card I used buttons.
I always have way too many laying around, this was the perfect way to use some!

This stamp comes form Craftin Desert Divas - Simply Said

This time I stamped the card on the inside of the card and created a window by using two acetate sheet layers and sandwiching the foam in between them.

Hope you've enjoyed these super "sweet" gumball shaped shaker cards!

Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Crafting  :)
