Birthday Bliss Release Day 3 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Honey Bee Stamps Birthday Bliss Release. Make sure you visit the Honey Bee Blog for more Day 3 inspiration from the Design Team. 

CARD RECIPE

This 5X7 Birthday card features the new:

• Birthday A2 Card Base Dies - Used the front panel only
• Birthday Foil Plate - using gold foil 
• Make A Wish Stamp Set - Happy, To You
• Ombré Dots Hot Foil Plate - using Brass foil 

I also used a few older supplies:

• Intense Black Ink
• Background Blender Brushes - Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, and Black Soot Oxide Inks
• Bee Creative Glue
• Black Foam Dots 1/4"
• Warm Pearls Stickers

To foil with the new plates you will need a Hot Foil System. For this card, I used POLISHED BRASS - Glimmer Foil

To the sponge area of the cake, I added more dots using a few colors of Copic Markers and colored in the candle flames. I then frosted the cake with Glossy Accents and then added some glitter for sprinkles. For highlights and details, white and gold gel pens were used.

Thinking of You Freesia Floral Card | Studio Katia

Hello friends and Happy Wednesday!

Today I have a Spring inspired friendship card to share with you all featuring one of the newer stamp sets from Studio Katia called Darling Freesia.

CARD RECIPE

• Stamp out the Darling Freesia using watermark ink and heat set the gold embossing powder onto watercolor safe paper. I used Bristol paper.
• Watercolor the flower. I used Karin Brush Pro Markers.
• Die-cut using the coordinating Freesia Dies.
• Stamp sentiments onto Banners.
• Die-cut banners and create an offset using the same dies and gold foil cardstock.
• Create the card base by die-cutting the Mini Polka Dots Cover and gluing it to a card base with a small hinge at the top to attach the front panel.
• To the front panel add the gold pierced frame from the Darling Ribbons and Frames.
• Add foam tape to the back of the card elements ad attach them to the card front.
• Finish by adding some Marshmallow Pearls.

CARD RECIPE

This pretty card features the new:

• Grandma's Garden
• Grandma's Garden Honey Cuts
• Bee Creative Liquid Shimmer Watercolor - Bee Shimmery - hard to see the shimmer on flowers, bird, and background
• Aurora Borealis Gem Stickers 

I also used a few older supplies:

• Secret Garden A2 Cover Plate
• Intense Black Ink
• Background Blender Brustedhes - Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch, and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks
• Bee Creative Glue
• Black Foam Dots 1/4"

These images were stamped out using Versafine Onyx ink and heat set with black embossing powder. They were then watercolored using Inkon3 Atelier Inks on Bristol paper, and white gel pen details were used for highlights.

You Are Amazing Frameless Shaker Card | Hero Arts MMHK April 2022 Global Team Blog Hop

Hello my friends, and happy Friday! Welcome to the Hero Arts Global Team Blog Hop. Today our design team is sharing inspiration featuring April's Hero Art Releases. If you have started to hop already you may have come from my friend Erica's Blog and you are on the right track. I will share more about the giveaway and the hop list at the end of the post.

For my project today, I created a frameless shaker card, also known as the flat/edge2edge/infinity card... a design/technique that is near and dear to my heart as I introduced it to the card-making community at Creativation 2020, and these pockets are now available from many companies. For a DIY version, which I still make, and to see where these cards all started click HERE to watch a video, as I won't go into details on how to put it all together. 

CARD RECIPE

• Stamp out the floral image using the 6" x 6" Cling Stamp from the MMHK April 2022 onto Bristol paper using Intens-ified Black Ink. 
• Blend out the background using inks to blend out the colors of the rainbow. I used Hero's Reactive ink cubes. 
• Use the Stencils from the kit to intensify areas of the floral images.
• Use Copic markers to color in the bees.
• I added liquid pixie dust to the centers of the flowers and the wings of the bees.

• Create the pocket for the shaker and fill it with all the shaker bit bling. 
• Add the finished shaker front to a card base.
• Die-cut the amazing, 3 layers of black cardstock and 1 shadow layer using silver glitter cardstock. 
• Stack and glue the black layers for the script dies, to add the finishing shine, coat with top with Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink and heat emboss using a clear embossing powder.
• Stamp out the "you are"using Unicorn Pigment Ink and heat set it using White Detail Embossing Powder.
• Fussy cut the sentiment.
• Glue onto the shaker card front.
