Beach Sunset Birthday Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends and happy Monday! 

I hope you all are enjoying your summer so far. I have yet to do so. Work is out of control as we are so short-staffed and it looks like I won't be getting some of my vacation requests approved so it will be a staycation for the time that was approved which will be later on in August. Plus, how can anyone get anything done with the kids at home, lol😆. I feel like I'm constantly cooking or cleaning. Anyways, I digress... guess I was wishing I was somewhere like on today's card for the summer. A girl can dream, right!?!

I kept this card super simple as I wanted the Ocean Circlescape Dies to be the focal point.

CARD RECIPE

• Die-cut the Ocean Circlescape Dies using paper for ink blending. 
• Ink blend the waves, sun, and sky using distress oxide inks, see colors listed below. 
• Spray the waves with water to add distress and texture to the blending. 
• Glue all the die-cut pieces back onto a circle smaller than the circle shape. I used one of the circles from the Circlescapes Shaker Frames.

Pop up the sun in the center using foam tape.

Add white gel pen details to the waves, sun, and sky. 

Add a thin layer of glue to each layer of wave and add chunky glitter for a touch of sparkle.

Add the birthday sentiment from the Foil Script: Wishes Hot Foil Plate/Dies that has been foiled using polished brass glimmer foil with the Hot foil glimmer system.

Add foam dots to the back of the finished Circlescape panel and attach it to a black piece of A2-sized cardstock that has been glued to an A2 card base.

Birthday Bliss Release Day 3 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Honey Bee Stamps Birthday Bliss Release. Make sure you visit the Honey Bee Blog for more Day 3 inspiration from the Design Team. 

CARD RECIPE

This 5X7 Birthday card features the new:

• Birthday A2 Card Base Dies - Used the front panel only
• Birthday Foil Plate - using gold foil 
• Make A Wish Stamp Set - Happy, To You
• Ombré Dots Hot Foil Plate - using Brass foil 

I also used a few older supplies:

• Intense Black Ink
• Background Blender Brushes - Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, and Black Soot Oxide Inks
• Bee Creative Glue
• Black Foam Dots 1/4"
• Warm Pearls Stickers

To foil with the new plates you will need a Hot Foil System. For this card, I used POLISHED BRASS - Glimmer Foil

To the sponge area of the cake, I added more dots using a few colors of Copic Markers and colored in the candle flames. I then frosted the cake with Glossy Accents and then added some glitter for sprinkles. For highlights and details, white and gold gel pens were used.

Rainbow Foiled Friendship Cards | Spellbinders

Hey Friends, Happy Weekend! 

Today I have some fun Rainbow Foiled Friendship Cards featuring the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE from Spellbinders GLIMMER BACKGROUND COLLECTION. If you know me, you know I love to rainbow everything, so I was really excited to play with the RAINBOW GLIMMER FOIL. Such a fun way to add a lot of color without a lot of work!

CARD DETAILS

As I mentioned all these cards are done using the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE as well as the RAINBOW GLIMMER FOIL with the HOT FOIL SYSTEM.

For this first card, I foiled half of the card panel and then added a sentiment from this month's GLIMMER HOT FOIL KIT. I then added some colorful crystals to finish off this simple card.

This card was done the exact same way using the same supplies but in a different orientation.

This next card, I used the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE vertically and horizontally to create this grid-like rainbow background. I then foiled a black piece of cardstock with another sentiment from the GLIMMER HOT FOIL KIT using POLISHED BRASS - Glimmer Foil.

For this last card, I used the negative pieces of the RAINBOW GLIMMER FOIL. I used the backside of the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE to foil press the pieces onto the black cardstock as it is a smooth metal surface.

The sentiment comes from the HELLO DEAR FRIEND FOIL AND DIE SET using that I then die cut using one of the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES.
