Papertrey Ink May Release Inspiration Cards

Hello, my dearest crafty friends! Hope you all had a wonderful week.

Today I am back with a ton of inspiration featuring this month's Papertrey Ink's May Release. It's all about Babies, Heroes, and many more staple design elements that are perfect builders for your collection. I won't go into too much detail as this post will be longer than usual, but I will link all the elements of each card below them. Ok, I had to save my favorite card for last. How real do these Gereaniums look!? I am obsessed!!! When get geraniums I always look for these hot pink-centered ones. They are my absolute favorite. And what about the corners? I used them to create the background panel and I LOVE the result. So unique!

Special Delivery | Baby Card

Hello dear friends!

Today I'm sharing a card I made featuring the New Arrival Stamp and Die set from Spellbinders. This set is super cute to have on hand for all those baby shower cards!

For this card, I decided to go with a gender neutral card to add to my card collection. I'm finding nowadays no one wants to find the sex of their baby... guess people still love Surprises!

Here is how this card was made:

• I began by stamping out the stork and baby images onto Bristol paper using the Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink and set it aside to allow the ink to dry.
• Next, I die cut the clouds and added glimmer paste to them and also set those off to dry.
• I then began coloring the images in using distress oxide inks by smearing the inkpad onto an acrylic block and using a water brush to color them in (see images below for colors). 
• Once the coloring was dry, I die cut the panel using the pierced rectangle die.
• I then stamped out the Special delivery sentiment and heat embossed it using black embossing powder.
• Next, I added the clouds using foam tape to pop them up.
• Then adhered the panel to a grey A2 size Card base.
• Finished the card by adding some white details and used a black pen to deepen all the eyes.

3D Letters Lowen | Baby Shower Gift and Decoration Piece

Happy Friday Everyone!

I was asked a few weeks ago to make some 3D letters as a Shower gift. I have been so busy that I wasn't sure I would have time to make them... but I finally did! Phewww, just in time for the Shower this weekend!!!

So happy with how they turned out! Love the colors they scheme they chose for me to work with!

3D Paper Letters for Kate | SVGCuts

Hey everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your week :)  

Here in Edmonton, it feels like Fall has finally arrived! The cold is in the air.... hopefully we can keep the snow away a little longer!

Ironically I'm going to share with you a project that reminds me a bit of Spring! I was asked to make a baby's name in 3D for a Baby Shower! Isn't it cute! I love how it all came together! Congratulations Marija on your newest family member :)

The files for the 3D letters come from here. The paper I used comes from DCWV Cherry Limeade Stack, all cut with the Cameo. Hope you like it!

Monkey Themed Baby Shower 3D Letters and Banner | SVGCuts

Happy weekend everyone! 

So today I am going to share a project with you that I made for my friend Kristina. Her sister recently had a baby boy and she is throwing her a "little monkey" themed baby shower. 

The banner was created with basic shapes from the SCAL library and cut with the Silhouette Cameo. The bottom layer is an elongated triangle with a scalloped edge, topped off with another rounded corner triangle. I made the rosette by using my Martha Stewart scoring board. For each rosette, I used two 1.5" x 12" piece of paper the scored the paper every 0.25". Folded the paper like an accordion, then glue the ends to each other. To cover the center of the rosette I used just a simple white circle. The font that I chose for the letters was Arial Black. If you would like the SVG file for the banner, email me and I will gladly send it to you. 

These paper 3D letters stand about 6.5" tall. They were filled with some dried beans to keep them from toppling over. The 3D letters are from SVG Cuts 3D letter kit and so is the hanging little monkey (freebie on their blog). I had so much fun making this and love how it turned out. I can't wait to make some more 3D letters!

Now how cute is that going to look at the shower...  better yet how cute will that look in his Nursery!
