In addition to the color palette used on this card, I opted for shade-free flowers and took a unique approach to snipping and stitching the buttercup layout.

Floral Frenzy Cards | Spellbinders | Floral Reflection Collection

Hello friends! 

There is a gorgeous new collection from Spellbinders available now and if you love florals this one is calling your name. The Floral Refection Collection is so pretty and so versatile as I will show you with my card examples today.

CARD RECIPE

First of all, let's talk about this new 3D embossing folder! Just look at the gorgeous floral detail. Alone as a background it is beautiful. For this birthday card, I paired it with a vellum heart from the new Essential Heart Etched Die set with the Floral Reflection Etched Dies. To make this a birthday card I just added the sentiment from the Floral Reflection Sentiment set, but honestly, it could be used for any occasion.

Here is another example. This time the sentiment is a bit vague but I turned it into a wedding card just by adding a little piece of tule behind the die-cut heart.

Again I used the flowers from the Floral Reflection Etched Dies without the base stems and created a loose arrangement along the edge of the heart that I then added to the 3D Flower Frenzy Embossed Background.

This final card could be used for any occasion. To make the embossed areas pop even more I used white pigment ink over the raised areas. I then die cut the Floral Reflection Etched dies from white cardstock and finished just the centers of the flowers to reduce some layers.

To the center, I added a sentiment from the Floral Reflection Stamp set that I die cut with a coordinating die.

I hope these simple yet beautiful cards inspired you. This Floral Reflection Collection release is timeless and could be very useful for all-year-round cardmaking.

Gnome for Christmas Cards | Spellbinders

Happy Sunday Friends!

Today it's all about my Gnomies 😉 These darling gnomes are the latest release from Spellbinders and are part of the Gnome for Christmas Collection.

CARD RECIPE #1

• To begin I die-cut the Gnomes from the Gnome Tree Dies out of white cardstock and then used Copics to color each piece. 
• On the background layer, I then glued each piece back. To add a little extra dimension, I added another layer behind each of the hats and beards. 
• For fun, I added some white gel pen highlights.

• To decorate the Gnome Tree, I then added the ornament strings and stars. To the strings, I added gem stickers. 
• Next, I glued the Gnome tree to the background by using the Argyle Socks Embossing Folder.
• To finish this card I added a foiled sentiment from YANA'S CHRISTMAS SENTIMENTS Glimmer Hot Foil Plate and Dies.

• On the inside, I also foiled the "from all of us" sentiment.

CARD RECIPE #2

• For this next card, I die-cut all the pieces from the Holly Jolly Gnome Dies using white cardstock that I then colored in with Copic Markers.
• I then glued and pieced the gnome, ornament, and bow together. 

• For the background panel, I embossed a dark green piece of cardstock using the Hand Drawn Scallops Embossing Folder, trimmed it, and added it to an A2 card base.

• Next, I glued the base of the bow to the card front. Under the knot of the bow, I stacked a couple of foam dots and then placed the loop of the ornament around them, and then glued the knot of the bow in place. This secures and creates the swing mechanism for the gnome to swing back and forth.

• For added details, I used a white gel pen to add highlights and then added some gem stickers to the top of the ornament.

Birthday Celebration Cards | Spellbinders 20th Birthday

Hello friends!

Today we are celebrating a very special birthday in our craft community. It is Spellbinders' 20th Birthday 🎉🥳

Wow, Happy Birthday 20th Birthday Spellbinders! What an amazing accomplishment and thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your birthday celebrations this year. My cards today come from the BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS COLLECTION. If you love making birthday cards, you will love this collection!

CARD RECIPE

 

This mini slimline turned out super cute. It features the Stitched Fringe Cake Etched Dies, for the cake layers I blended out a few inks to give me a rainbow blend and used the stitched cake layer die to die cut out all the layers. I then just trimmed the length of each tier and stacked them. I didn't feel like stitching so I just covered up the holes with a thin strip of gold glitter paper.

For the sentiment, I heat foiled the Happy Birthday using Polished Brass Glimmer foil with the Birthday Unboxing Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & coordinating dies.

For a fun detail, I added the Mini Bow to the cake plate.

The fun background was done by using the Hand Drawn Scallops Embossing Folder.

For this next birthday card, I began with dry embossing the background panel using the Hand Drawn Scallops Embossing Folder.

I then die-cut various colors of paper using the Party Décor Etched Dies and then mixed and matched them to make some fun colorful banners that I glued onto the gold glitter lines.

For the sentiments, once again I heat foiled the Happy Birthday using Polished Brass Glimmer foil with the Birthday Unboxing Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & coordinating dies.
