Merry And Bright Sparkly Rainbow Snowflake Card | Studio Katia

Hello again!

Back again with another rainbow snowflake card. Can you tell I love rainbows and snowflakes 😆

This card features some of my favorites from Studio Katia. These Chunky Alphas are so fun especially when you want to create your own sentiments and these snowflakes stamps are soooo pretty! 

To make this card, I first blended out the background using the distress oxide linked below. I then spritzed the background with water and picked them up with a paper towel. Next, I die-cut the panel using the frame from the Darling Ribbons and Frames Die set. 

Once the ink was dry I used an anti-static tool to prep the surface for heat embossing. I then stamped the snowflakes onto the background and heat set the ink with white emb. pwd.

Next, I die cut all the letters to spell out the Merry & Bright using the Chunky Alphabet dies. To each letter, I added White Puff Emb. Powder, puffed with heat, and then added glue onto the buff and dipped the puffy part back into Sparkle Glitter for extra sparkly snow. It's so hard to share the sparkle in these photos but in real life, they are so pretty!

I then added foam tape to the back of the letters and popped them onto the card front.

To finish the card, I glued some Icy Sparkle Crystals and added the random Snowflake Glitter to the background.

Let It Snow - Snowflake Card | Studio Katia

Hello Friends, hope you are having a wonderful week so far.

 

Have you had your first snowfall yet? Here in Edmonton, we have and it looks like it may be here to stay. So as the song goes "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!" and as you can see it was my inspiration for today's card.

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I began by blending out the background using the SNOWFLAKE STENCIL and a few inks from Ink On 3  with the INK BLENDER BRUSHES. 

Next, I stamped out the SNOWFLAKES in a random pattern onto the background using a Sticky Embossing Powder and sprinkled the SPARKLE GLITTER to stick to the areas. 

Now that the background was done, I then stamped out one of the cute snowmen from the HAPPY SNOWMEN colored him in using Copics, and then die cut him out using the coordinating dies. 

To finish this Happy Card I repeat stamped the sentiment and then die cut it with one of the banners from the PEONY TRIMMINGS DIES, added some glossy accents to the button and the nose.
