Alex Syberia Designs November Release | Instagram Hop and Giveaway

Glamorous Foiled Shaker Cards,Alex Syberia Designs, November Release,Instagram Hop, how to,handmade card,Stamps, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, stamping, diecutting, cardmaking

Hello friends and Happy Wednesday!

Today I am taking part in an Instagram hop to celebrate Alex Syberia's November Release. Make sure you join me over on Instagram for a chance to win some amazing prizes to their shop! Click👉 HERE to join me.

For my projects today I have created two glamorous shaker cards! To create the foiled backgrounds you will need a Foil system. I used the Spellbinders Hot Foil System along with the Platinum 6 Die Cutting Platform. For negative foil transfers, you will need a solid foil plate. I also find I get the best results with smooth or glossy cardstock.

CARD RECIPE

Background - Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate

Sentiment - Feliz Navidad Hot Foil Plate (fussy cut)

There is a Feliz Navidad Die Set too which I didn't have.

Foil - Aura Glimmer Foil

Rather than throwing out the negative of the foil piece I used for my first card, I used it with the solid foil plate to foil onto another piece of glossy black cardstock resulting in another gorgeous background for my second card.

Foil - Aura Glimmer Foil (negative)

I created these shakers using these pockets. If you don't have any pre-made ones, (which by the way I helped bring to market 😉, but the A2s are sold out nearly everywhere) you can make my DIY version with some clear plastic or thin acetate. Click HERE to watch the original frameless/infinity shaker.

These cards would also make gorgeous New Year's Eve cards, simply by changing the sentiment. I chose to make these Christmas cards as the background also reminds me of the twinkling holiday lights, but they definitely could be New Year's fireworks too!

Alex Syberia Designs November Release | Blog Hop and Giveaway

Alex Syberia Designs, Christmas,Glimmer Hot Foil,Poinsettia,Instagram Hop, Noel, Feliz Navidad, Ink blending, how to,handmade card,Stamps, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, stamping, diecutting, cardmaking

Hello friends!

Today I am excited to be taking part in a Blog hop featuring the November Alex Syberia Release. Make sure you leave a comment here and the rest of the stops to qualify for a chance to win some fabulous prizes! If you already started hopping you have just come from Hannelie 's Blog. Stay tuned to find out more about the giveaway and where to Hop next!

So let's dive into the projects I am sharing today.

To create the foiled images you will need a Foil system. I used the Spellbinders Hot Foil System along with the Platinum 6 Die Cutting Platform. For negative foil transfers, you will need a solid foil plate. I also find I get the best results with this cardstock.

CARD RECIPE

Background - Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate

Wreath - Holiday Wreath and Branch Stencil and Die Set

Sentiment - Feliz Navidad Hot Foil Plate (fussy cut)

Foil - Aura Glimmer Foil

I absolutely love how this card turned out. It is definitely a lot more glamorous in person. Pictures do not do this card justice as the Aura Glimmer foil gives it so much sparkle and shine!

This next card features the show-stopping Joyful Poinsettia Die Set! It is absolutely gorgeous😍

Alex Syberia Designs, Christmas,Glimmer Hot Foil,Poinsettia,Instagram Hop, Noel, Feliz Navidad, Ink blending, how to,handmade card,Stamps, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, stamping, diecutting, cardmaking

Just look at this gorgeous Poinsettia Bloom! I used 5 different shades of cardstock and ink-blended the tips of the petals with pink ink. I then added a mist of pink splatters to them. I also added foam in between the layers to give it dimension and curled the tips of the petals.

With the negative of the foiled background from my first card, I was able to use it to create this poinsettia tag.

To create the die I just cut the panel into 4x3 rectangle and added the poinsetta to the top. I did not use the last layer of the poinsettia to make it slightly smaller, I then punched a hole through one of the petals and added a ribbon through it to tie on a gift later.

Make sure you check out the Release as I have only showcased a few of the products here today.

Hello friends!

Today's post is going to be super short and sweet. I have waaaayyyy too many things to do right now, so I will keep this brief!

Alex Syberia Designs need to reach its funding goal to be able to go ahead and manufacture this beautiful collection, so please, help them! You can back them on their Kickstarter Campaign and help them spread the word about it!

UPDATE: They have reached their Kickstarter GOAL!!! Thank you all that joined us and for supporting this campaign! Make sure to join today's Instagram Hop to enter their amazing giveaway of 15 prizes!

Today I have two inspiration cards today featuring a few of their beautiful sets.

To the background, I used the Modern Stripes Stencil 6x6" and applied Moonstone Glimmer paste to create a Slimline sparkly background. To extend the background I simply rotated the stencil once half of the paste was dry.

For this next card, I thought it would be fun to create a Christmas theme. So I added used Christmas colors to do that. This cute card features the From All of Us Stamp Set 4x6" and Coordinating Dies

For this background, I used the Fancy Background Stencil 6x6" with Gold Glacier Paste.

It's funny how your mind works, I knew there was something missing from this card, and it wasn't until now that I figured out what it was. I forgot to add the Celebrate Word Die to the top of the card. I since have and it really does complete it. Facepalm, LOL! If I end up taking new photos, because this is bugging me now, I will update these, haha!

how to,handmade card,Stamps, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, stamping,Create Your Own Happy Stamp,Die cutting,Autumn cards, Fall, Floral Card,Alex Syberia Designs, card making, Kickstarter

This first card features the Create Your Own Happy Stamp Set 4x8" & Coordinating Dies. I also used the Fancy Background Stencil 6x6" to dry emboss the background panel. Hard to see it in the first pic but you can see it better in the next two. I also used the Stand-alone Dies | Celebrate Word Die to complete the sentiment.

This time for the background panel I used the Fancy Cover Die A2 (5.5x4.25") and used kraft cardstock behind it to coordinate with the colors I used.

Alex Syberia Designs Kickstarter Campaign | Blog Hop 1 & Giveaway

The moment has arrived!! Alex Syberia Designs Kickstarter Campaign is live!
Today, we are celebrating the launch of Alex Syberia Designs' very first collection of physical products through their Kickstarter Campaign! With clear stamps, dies and stencils, there's something for everyone to love!

To look at all of the designs in detail (including videos!), the exclusive offers they have for you, and see how you can support them, make sure you check their Kickstarter Campaign Page.

I am so happy for Alex and her new venture. And even more excited to be a part of this journey of hers as I have been a fan of hers for the longest time.

Both my cards feature a couple of adorable cuties from the new Smile and Wave Stamp and Die Set. If you have been following me you know I have a thing for shaker cards and love to come up with different ways to make them. For these two cards, I used my clear bag shaker technique to create two Partial See Through Cards. I won't go into all the how-to details here, but if you are interested in creating cards like these, click HERE for the complete tutorial!

Winter Fun, Partial Clear Bag See Through Shaker Cards,Alex Syberia Designs, flat shaker,Card Making, Stamping, Die Cutting, handmade card, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, Stamps, how to, Smile and Wave
With both cards, I stamped out the critters using Copic-friendly black ink and then colored them in using Copic markers. I then die-cut the images using the coordinating dies. For some of them, I also cut out another blank die cut to use on the backside to cover up any visible ink that could be seen through the see-through card panel.
Winter Fun, Partial Clear Bag See Through Shaker Cards,Alex Syberia Designs, flat shaker,Card Making, Stamping, Die Cutting, handmade card, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, Stamps, how to, Smile and Wave
For the background, I actually used leftover ink from ink blending done using the Modern Stripes Stencil that I sprayed down with water and pressed into the stencil, resulting in a watercolor transfer. I then split the panel in half to create two cards.
On the inside of the cards, I stamped out a sentiment from the Smile and Wave set. For shaker filler, I used Pastel Rainbow Sequins.
Winter Fun, Partial Clear Bag See Through Shaker Cards,Alex Syberia Designs, flat shaker,Card Making, Stamping, Die Cutting, handmade card, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, Stamps, how to, Smile and Wave
As you can see below, this second card was done pretty much like the first one. I used the excess of the previous background panel to create the "mountain" for my penguin to climb.
Winter Fun, Partial Clear Bag See Through Shaker Cards,Alex Syberia Designs, flat shaker,Card Making, Stamping, Die Cutting, handmade card, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, Stamps, how to, Smile and Wave
For the previous card the critter was glued to the inside of the shaker pocket, but for this one below the stamped images are glued to the outside of the panel. For this shaker filler, I used Pastel Rainbow Confetti. The flatter the filler the better for sending these types of cards through the mail.
Winter Fun, Partial Clear Bag See Through Shaker Cards,Alex Syberia Designs, flat shaker,Card Making, Stamping, Die Cutting, handmade card, ilovedoingallthingscrafty, Stamps, how to, Smile and Wave
Here is what they look like when the cards are opened up. To keep your written message from being seen from the front you just have to write it on the bottom half of the card.

And just so you can get another visual of the see-through shaker panel, here are my fingers behind the front panel of the card.
