Hi everyone and welcome to the
Heffy Doodle and
Studio Katia Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Studio Katia products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!
If you have already started on the Hop, you would have arrived from
Cassie Trask's Blog. I will let you know where to hop to next at the end of this post 😊
CARD DETAILS
To begin I die cut the Scallop Frame using the new die from the
DOTTED SLIMLINE - SET 2. I then masked off the edge of the frame with some masking tape to add the blended rainbow clouds.
I used the cloud die from the
SKY SET DOTTED BORDERS to create a stencil for the clouds. Rather then die-cutting it from paper, I used a piece of
ACETATE as I wanted to be able to wipe off the ink in between color blending. To blend, I used the Studio Katia
INK BLENDER BRUSHES and Ink On 3's Atelier Inks, see colors used below. As an additional blended detail, I added some blended hearts using the
SCATTERED HEARTS stencil on a few areas.
Next, I die cut the circle openings for the shaker, using the circle die from the
DOTTED PATTERNS SET 1. I then glued the die-cut rainbow cut-outs onto the card base. Onto the center of each circle, I sprinkled a few
ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS and then topped up the pile of shaker bits with
WEDDING BELL MIX.
I then glued
ACETATE to the backside of the shaker window openings and added a thin strip of
FOAM around each circle and the top and bottom edges of the scalloped frame. Carefully, I then lined up the frame with the card front, pressed it in place, and finishing off the shaker background.
For the card front details, I stamped out the cute angel images from Heffy Doodles
My Little Angel Stamp set, colored them in using Copic markers, and then die cut them using the
Coordinating Dies. I then stamped out the sentiment from the same set along the bottom shaker circle of the card. To do that, I used the MISTI and the circle die to line up the stamp and create the perfect curvature.
I then added the die-cut sentiment using from silver foiled cardstock both the
You are Dies and the
Angel Die.
To finish the scene, I added some popped up clouds from the same
SKY SET DOTTED BORDERS that I created the cloud stencil from and then added a rainbow of scattered pearls. See links below for all the pearls used.
