Just Breathe Encouragement Card | Penguin Palace & Ink On 3 Collaboration

Hello again, 

I am back with another card I created as part of a collaboration Hop between Inkon3 and Penguin Palace Stamps which is happening over on👉 Instagram. We teamed up to celebrate the Penguin Palace's 3rd Anniversary! Here is how this card came together.

• Stamp the Legend of The Koi fish first using the outline stamp with Blackout Ink onto Bristol Paper.
• Next line up the detail stamp layer over the fish you just stamped out, this time use Fadeout Ink. 
• Watercolor in the images by using  Sweet Petunia, Bee Sting Yellow, and Peacock Blue Atelier Inks. Overlap the colors to create the rainbow blend.
• To add sparkle I added a layer of Liquid Pixie Dust over the painted layer.
• I then used the coordinating Legend of the Koi - Penguin Perfect Cuts to die cut the fish.
• On another piece of white cardstock, I used the same inks I used above to watercolor but this time to ink blend and create a rainbow area. 
• Stamp the Breathe Stamp from the Words From The Heart (Chapter 1) stamp set over the rainbow blended spot using Blackout Ink.
• Die-cut the Breathe using the Words From The Heart Coordinating Cuts.
• Glue the Breathe sentiment to the card front.
• Pop the fish in place using foam tape. For an added layer of thickness, I glued the fish onto another die-cut piece.
• Finish the card by adding a few bubble embellishments.

Hope this Just Breathe Encouragement Card inspired you today and reminds you that it is ok to take a break, stop, relax, do nothing and just Breathe. Especially with all that is going on in the world right now, it's OK! People are more understanding than you realize because after all we all need and deserve a break from time to time😉

Whaley Great Frameless Slimline Shaker Card | Tonic Studios

Hello friends, 

Guess what?  Not only is today Father's Day, but it is also my Birthday! Woohoo!!! Yay for getting older, lol!

Today's card is part of an 👉Instagram Hop. A bunch of my crafty friends and I have joined together to encourage and send good vibes to a fellow crafter in need. Please join us over there and help send some love and encouragement to our friend Andy Granick.

As you can see I made another frameless shaker card. Only this time I did use the Shaker Creator Pockets that I helped to develop from Tonic Studios. If you haven't tried my DIY technique or using these pockets you are missing out as they are a complete shaker game changer.

CARD RECIPE

• Create your background panel. (I used Atelier Re-Inkers to watercolor this slimline panel)
• Stamp out the images onto the background.
• SHOOT FOR THE STARS
• WHALEY GREAT SET
• Die-cut the fish into the sea and then glue a piece of foil cardstock in behind the panel.
• Trim to fit the Slimline Shaker Creator Pocket.

• Create the Shaker Pocket by folding and gluing down 3 of the SHAKER CREATOR tabs to the background panel.
• Fill with shaker bits.
• Fold and glue down the last tab.
• Add the Shaker Front to a Slimline Card base using a strong adhesive.
• Stamp out the images from the WHALEY GREAT SET, color, and die-cut them using the coordinating die set.
• Glue them onto the shaker front.
• The moon comes from the SHOOT FOR THE STARS set that I ink blended.

• Stamp the inside with a sentiment from the WHALEY GREAT SET.

• Here are a few close-ups of this pretty ocean scene.

Life Is A Bit Nuts Slimline Scene Card | Day Four Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Friends and Happy Monday. Is your life a bit nuts these days!? Maybe you can relate to this card. I know I definitely can!

This cute Slimline Card features the new NUTS ABOUT YOU and coordinating DIES, I also used HORIZON SLIMLINE BORDERS. Yes, as you can see I didn't create a Slimline horizontal card, but I wanted to show you it is also possible to use these dies and make a vertical Slimline scene. To frame the scene I used the SLIMLINE SENTIMENTS: EYELET DIES (Please note links for the new release will not be active until products go live on RELEASE DAY - Monday 9/21 @ Midnight EST.)

Punny Encouragement Card for a Cheesy Friend | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends! Today I am over on the Honey Bee Stamps Blog with this punny card featuring a few stamp sets from the latest Brie Mine Release. If you have a cheese lover in your life or you have a friend in need of a little cheering up this card idea is a cute one to try.

CARD DETAILS

To begin this card I started by stamping out Mae the Mouse holding cheese at an angle from the bottom right corner of a piece of Neenah cardstock. I then used Copic markers to color the images, also coloring in the background behind the mouse black as I wanted to make it look like it was going to be peeking out of the hole. 

For the cheese like background, I used the Polka Dot Stencils and added the cheese holes to the light yellow cardstock using Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink blending out various sized circles. I then die cut the panel using the large Double Stitched Frames Die and then used one of the Double Stitched Circle Dies to die cut the opening for the mouse. Next, I aligned the mouse with the opening of the cheese panel and glued the cardstock pieces together. 

Before gluing the card front to the A2 black card base, I stamped out the sentiment using stamps from the Brie Mine set. For a touch of shine, I added glossy accents to the nose and eyes.

And that pretty much finishes up this cute little cheesy friendship card!
