Lovely Layers Floral Card Set | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing well. I have been away this past week so I apologize if you noticed my absence. I went to the mountains for a little getaway ski trip with the family for Spring Break, and I am happy to report no injuries! Yay for small victories🙌

So let's get on with today's post, cause it is a long one. It is no surprise that I love the Lovely Layers Collection from Honey Bee Stamps. I have used them in many previous projects and even made art pieces with them.

Today I wanted to share with you a card set I made using most of the collection. I kept the cards fairly simple. For all of these cards, I used a 5x7 Ivory Card base.

CARD RECIPE

This first card features the Lovely Layers: Hydrangea. I added purple ink blending in the centers of the flowers and then finished the centers with some green gem stickers. To add dimension, I used a tone of foam tape!

The sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Fall stamp set. All the sentiments were stamped out using Intense Black Ink.

This next card features a couple of die sets from the latest release. The dragonfly from the Lovely Layers: Bugs | Honey Cuts set and the Lovely Layers: Greenery | Honey Cuts. 

The sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Bloom Stamps. For the dragonfly wings I used vellum, for the body I used a piece of foiled cardstock, and to add a little sparkle I added a few gem stickers to the eyes. 

This Lovely Layers: Coneflower is one of my favorites from the collection. To give it a stem, I just sliced a thin strip of green cardstock. To add depth to the flower I used two different shades of red for the flower petals and then added some ink blending as well for shading.

The sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine stamp set and to finish I added a few brown pearls from the Warm Pearls Stickers set.

Sunflowers are another favorite of mine. I've used this Lovely Layers: Sunflower Die many times! For this flower, I also created a stem by slicing a piece of green cardstock.

The thank-you sentiment comes from another Itty Bitty set, the Bitty Buzzwords stamp set. To the center, I added a few more warm sticker pearls.

This next card pairs the butterfly from the Lovely Layers: Bugs dies with Lovely Layers: Anemone Dies.

The Hello You comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine stamp set. To add some interest to the center of the Anemone, I drew some lines from the center and added some small Bubble Bath Mini Domes.

This Lovely Layers: Tulips die is another one of my favorites, perfect for so many Springtime occasions or just a birthday card as shown here.

The birthday stamp comes from the Bitty Buzzwords Stamp set.

This next card I made with Mother's Day in mind. But it definitely could be used for many other occasions. This card features the Lovely Layers: Roses die cuts. If you want to see this rose done in rainbow colors click 👉here.

The I love you comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine stamp set.

And finally, this last card was made... you guessed it... for Easter. Lilies have always reminded me of Easter so I thought I would pair the Lovely Layers: Easter Lily Dies with a couple wood planks from the Wood Frame Builder die set to create a cross.

This beautifully scripted stamp comes from the Praying Big Time stamp set.

I love that these cards look like little pieces of art. How pretty would these cards look framed!? Who knows I may still end up doing that with them if I don't give them away first.

Spread Kindness Card | Studio Katia

Hello, my sweet Crafty FRIENDS!

Today I am over on the Studio Katia Blog with this beauty! I am so in love with how it turned out  😍 As you can probably tell from my last few posts I am on a rainbow kick so why mess with a good thing?  Rainbows brighten my day and I hope they do the same for you!

CARD DETAILS

To begin I stamped out the background of the card panel using the KIND BOUQUET (SSS | SK) stamp using Blackout Ink onto watercolor paper. Rather than fussy cutting the stamped image, I die cut a few masks using the KIND BOUQUET dies (SSS | SK) to cover up the stamped images as I covered up the card panel. The little lines that didn't connect because of the die cut mask I drew in by hand with a fine line marker. 

I then used Zig Clean Color Brush markers to the Roses in colors of the Rainbow.

Once the background was dry I die cut the entire panel out using the frame from the DARLING RIBBON AND FRAMES DIE set (SSS | SK). I then stamped out the Kindness onto the floral design and then used the coordinating KIND BOUQUET DIES (SSS | SK)  to die cut the sentiment. I also die cut 3 more layers to add under the Kindness from black cardstock to pop it off the card base.

To make the sentiment stand out, even more, I added a coat of Glossy Accents to it.

To finish the Kindness greeting I stamped out the "spread" onto black cardstock and heat set the letters in white and popped the strip up with foam tape. For embellishments, I added some of my favorite IRIDESCENT BUBBLES (SSS | SK).

Mother's Day Shadow Box | SVGCuts

Hey All!

 Are you all ready for Mother's Day?!? Today I want to share with you another one of my Shadowbox creations, another commissioned project for my friend and fan Tomina! Hope her mother loves it ;)

To replicate your own Rose Heart Shadow Box you will need:
The rose file from - Crush On You Boxes SVG Kit cut at various sizes.
8 X 8 Shadow Box (purchased from IKEA).
Etching cream

Victor + Jessica's Wedding Shadow Box and Card | SVGCuts

So excited to share with you all the latest Shadow Box! I think they just keep getting more and more beautiful! 

This Shadow Box was made as a gift for my cousin Victor and his bride Jessica who just got married this past weekend! I absolutely love how it turned out and I'm pretty sure they loved it too! Congratulations again Victor and welcome to our family Jessica!!! Had so much fun with you both and the rest of our crazy awesome family!

The rose file I used to create the heart of roses comes from the Crush On You Boxes SVG Kit here. They were just cut at different sizes and glued onto a heart template.

And here is the card I made them! SO adorable, right!?
