Lovely Layers Anniversary Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Friends,

This Anniversary card is all about the Layers! Absolutely love how easy it was and how it all came together. The finished card measures 6.5x5 inches. This release is not only great for Valentine's but all year round as the pieces are timeless.

Besides, die cutting and stamping the sentiment this card is not complicated at all. Like I said earlier, it is all about the layers.

The hardest part was embossing the large heart using the Floral Heart 3D Embossing Folder and then Die-cutting it with the coordinating heart. I then used the Bee Creative Brilliant White Pigment Ink and rubbed it over the embossed raised areas.

Holiday Wishes Inspiration Week Day 2 | Honey Bee Stamps

For this background, I began by ink-blending the blue cardstock panel with Black Soot distress oxide ink and then Embossed the Panel using the SnowFlakes 3D Embossing Folder. I then used the Bee Creative Brilliant White Pigment Ink pad and lightly rubbed the embossed areas of the paper.

Water Lily Sympathy Card | Adventure Awaits Release | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, dear friends!

Today, I want to share a stunning sympathy card that features the exquisite Lovely Layers Water Lily from the Adventure Awaits Release by Honey Bee Stamps.

CARD RECIPE

To start, I began by crafting the transparent section of the card using vellum and applying glimmer paste through the Fish Net Stencil. While that dried, I focused on creating the other elements of the card.

For the Water Lily, I die-cut the pieces from white card stock and added color through ink blending. Then, I assembled the lily using foam to achieve a dimensional effect. To enhance the flower's center, I applied glue and sprinkled chunky glitter for a touch of sparkle. Additionally, I used a green Copic marker to create shadows and add detail to the lily pad.

 

To create an opaque window, I utilized the Sweet Stacks Ovals to die-cut a shimmery vellum background from the panel I had created earlier. Next, I die-cut a smaller oval on the front of the card base. By using both sizes of the oval dies, I created a frame and adhered it first to the vellum layer and then attached it to the card's front.

For the sentiments I used the "With Our Love" plate from the Foil Script: Wishes Hot Foil Plate/Dies done in Sky Bright Glimmer Foil and add the "With Sympathy" sentiment from the Mini Messages Stamps that I stamped onto a Mini Messages Dies Banner die.

I hope this card provides you with inspiration, and I truly adore how the light shines through when it's displayed.

Happy Holidays Floral Slimline Card | Make it Merry Release | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy Friday Friends and Happy Release Day!

Tonight you will be able to shop the Make it Merry Release from Honey Bee Stamps. If you love making Holiday cards, you must check out this release. Please note some Links to supplies will only go live after tonight's Release Party around 8:15 CST.

As you may already know I am a FAN of the Lovely Layers Die Collection and there are some new ones in this release that I just had to play with first! This card is all about the details and all the extras to take your cardmaking to the next level.

CARD RECIPE

• Die cut all the greenery and floral images.
• Lovely Layers: Poinsettia Dies
• Lovely Layers: Winter Greenery Dies
• Ink blend edges of petals and leaves, curl them for a realistic feel and add extra color to colored cardstock for extra depth and detail, assemble pieces using foam in between the layers.
• On a slimline card base glue a piece of pattern paper from the Make It Merry Paper Pad.

• Arrange the greenery to create a floral arrangement as you like and glue it to the card panel.
• Add glitter glue to the tips of flowers and greenery. I also added more sparkle by sprinkling on Prisma glitter while the glue was still wet.
• For even more sparkle add some gems. These ruby-colored ones come from the new Make It Merry Gem Stickers.

To finish this card, I used the new Foil Script: Holiday Hot Foil Plate and Dies done in BLACK Glimmer Foil. Not pictured is the sentiment I added inside from the new Home For The Holidays Stamp set.

Lovely Layers Floral Card Set | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends, I hope you all are doing well. I have been away this past week so I apologize if you noticed my absence. I went to the mountains for a little getaway ski trip with the family for Spring Break, and I am happy to report no injuries! Yay for small victories🙌

So let's get on with today's post, cause it is a long one. It is no surprise that I love the Lovely Layers Collection from Honey Bee Stamps. I have used them in many previous projects and even made art pieces with them.

Today I wanted to share with you a card set I made using most of the collection. I kept the cards fairly simple. For all of these cards, I used a 5x7 Ivory Card base.

CARD RECIPE

This first card features the Lovely Layers: Hydrangea. I added purple ink blending in the centers of the flowers and then finished the centers with some green gem stickers. To add dimension, I used a tone of foam tape!

The sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Fall stamp set. All the sentiments were stamped out using Intense Black Ink.

This next card features a couple of die sets from the latest release. The dragonfly from the Lovely Layers: Bugs | Honey Cuts set and the Lovely Layers: Greenery | Honey Cuts. 

The sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Bloom Stamps. For the dragonfly wings I used vellum, for the body I used a piece of foiled cardstock, and to add a little sparkle I added a few gem stickers to the eyes. 

This Lovely Layers: Coneflower is one of my favorites from the collection. To give it a stem, I just sliced a thin strip of green cardstock. To add depth to the flower I used two different shades of red for the flower petals and then added some ink blending as well for shading.

The sentiment comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine stamp set and to finish I added a few brown pearls from the Warm Pearls Stickers set.

Sunflowers are another favorite of mine. I've used this Lovely Layers: Sunflower Die many times! For this flower, I also created a stem by slicing a piece of green cardstock.

The thank-you sentiment comes from another Itty Bitty set, the Bitty Buzzwords stamp set. To the center, I added a few more warm sticker pearls.

This next card pairs the butterfly from the Lovely Layers: Bugs dies with Lovely Layers: Anemone Dies.

The Hello You comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine stamp set. To add some interest to the center of the Anemone, I drew some lines from the center and added some small Bubble Bath Mini Domes.

This Lovely Layers: Tulips die is another one of my favorites, perfect for so many Springtime occasions or just a birthday card as shown here.

The birthday stamp comes from the Bitty Buzzwords Stamp set.

This next card I made with Mother's Day in mind. But it definitely could be used for many other occasions. This card features the Lovely Layers: Roses die cuts. If you want to see this rose done in rainbow colors click 👉here.

The I love you comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine stamp set.

And finally, this last card was made... you guessed it... for Easter. Lilies have always reminded me of Easter so I thought I would pair the Lovely Layers: Easter Lily Dies with a couple wood planks from the Wood Frame Builder die set to create a cross.

This beautifully scripted stamp comes from the Praying Big Time stamp set.

I love that these cards look like little pieces of art. How pretty would these cards look framed!? Who knows I may still end up doing that with them if I don't give them away first.
