Cottage Pop Up Scene Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!

Have you all seen the Simply Spring Release from Honey Bee Stamps? If you haven't check it out! So many beautiful Spring inspired products. Usually, you would have seen a bunch of sneak peeks from me but this time my DT package decided to take its sweet time. Oh well better late than never, right!? 

For my project today I wanted to play with the Spring Cottage Village Dies and create a Spring Scene. If you saw my last Honey Bee project, I also made a pop-up card. I guess I loved it so much I just had to do it again, lol!

CARD RECIPE

• Die-cut the pieces for the cottage and glue them together. Also die-cut the tree, and the bushes and set them aside.
• Use the Cottage Countryside Dies to die-cut the background pieces. For the grass area, I separated the pieces and added a cobblestone road using Copic Markers. Set the die-cuts aside as well.

• For the front panel, die-cut the frame using the two largest dies of the Spring Vine Layering Frames from a white piece of cardstock first, and then the for the background I used blue paper from the Pinstripes & Polka Dots: Spring Paper Pad only cutting out the inside opening. Glue these pieces together to form the front.
• Next, I created 2 pop-up springs that I scored from a 1-inch wide piece of pattern paper Paper Pad at every 1/4"inch until it folded into an "M".
• I then glued the springs to the back of the frame. 
• To make the scene pop, I glued the Cottage Countryside layers to the "springs". I did have to trim off a little of the sides to make the width of the scene match the width between the "springs".
• At this point, I glued on the cottage and tree.

• For the background of the card, I used the opposite side of the paper, trimmed it to A2 size, and added it to the card base.
• Before gluing the card front to the card base I figured out where to add the sentiment. I used a sentiment from Big Time Kindness and stamped it using Bee Creative Intense Black Ink.
• Then I glued the springs to the card base. 
• Next, I added some glue to the clouds and slipped them into place.
• For a final touch and a little bit of sparkle, I added some gem stickers to the corners of the frame.

The cool thing about these pop-up cards is that they have so much dimension but without too much bulk!

I absolutely love how this card turned out and I hope you all do too. I really wish I had a pink cottage like this. I would make it my craft cottage and you all could come to visit and craft with me!

You're So EGGstra Easter Bunny Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Do you have an Extra/Eggstra friend or person in your life? You know the over the top and a little dramatic one. I have a few and this card was made with them in mind, LOL! 

I think a card like this would absolutely make their day this Easter.

 

CARD RECIPE

• Stamp out the Bunny, Chick, and flower images from the new EASTER BUDDIES set. (Blackout ink used on Neenah cardstock)
• Color images using Copic markers.
• Die-cut images using coordinating EASTER BUDDIES DIES.

• Die-cut the house and the hay pieces for the CHICKEN COOP in the desired color of cardstock. 
• Add details using Copic markers.
• Using the smallest pieces from the WOOD FRAME BUILDER DIES, glue pieces onto the roofline of the chicken coop. Ink edges first.
• Die-cut the ITTY BITTY EGG DIES (I used silver glitter cardstock and then added color using Copic markers.)

• Die-cut the largest frame from the DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIES.
• Use the GRASSY HILLS BORDER STENCILS to blend out the grass and the OUTDOOR SCENE BUILDER STENCILS to blend out the clouds.
• Assemble and glue down all the elements to create the scene onto the background panel. 
• Glue panel onto the pattern paper from the PLAYFUL PASTELS PAPER PAD cut to 5.5x5.5 inches.
• Attach onto a Square 5.5x5.5 inch Card Base.  
• Stamp and heat emboss onto black card cardstock the You're so Eggstra sentiment from the EGGCELENT SENTIMENTS. Die-cut with coordinating Die. 
• Add sentiment to the card front.
• Embellish with PLAYFUL PASTELS GEM STICKERS, white gel detail, glossy accents, and liquid pixie dust.

• Finish the inside of the card with an Easter sentiment that comes from the HOPPY EASTER stamp set.
• Send the card to your very Eggstra friend!

Action Wobble Spring Showers Scene Cards | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my Friends.

I can hardly wait for Spring to arrive, how about you all? This cold winter weather has been so long and depressing, I'm anxious to see color and flowers bloom in my yard again. Today both my cards were inspired by Spring Showers, Rainbows, Sunshine and of course the cutest Wobbly Honey Bees!

  CARD DETAILS

For both these slimline cards, I began by blending out clouds using the Cloud Stencil from the OUTDOOR SCENE BUILDER STENCILS. I then used the Sunburst A2 Cover Plate to die cut the sun from the top of each panel. Behind the panels, I glued gold glitter paper and then adhered them to the slimline card fronts.

Next, I die cut various colors of cardstock to create some rainbows using the RAINBOW WISHES HONEY CUTS set. I also die cut clouds using the LARGE CLOUDS DIES and then attached them to the card fronts to build the scenes.

For this card, I stamped out the image using the BEE MINE - FREE BEE in Fadeout ink and then did a no-line Copic coloring. I then used the coordinating BEE MINE - FREE DIE and then mounted the bee on an Action Wobble Spring.

On this card, I also used the SPRING | HONEY CUTS word dies that I used as part of the sentiment. The "sending you greetings comes from the SPRING stamp set.

For my second card, I chose to make it birthday-themed by using the "Happy Beeday" sentiment from the HI HONEY stamp set. 

For this BEE MINE - FREE BEE I used the same Copic colors but this time used the stamped image outline for my coloring.

To embellish both cards and add sparkle and shine I used Liquid Pixie Dust on the Rainbows and the bees' wings, and I added glossy accents drops to their antennas. I also used a couple of hearts that I had previously die cut from the FLUTTERING HEARTS COVERPLATE to add some extra cuteness and love to the card fronts. Finally, I finished off the Spring Showers Scenes, by adding some cute raindrop bubbles.
