Rainbow Dreams Inspirations Day 2 | Honey Bee Stamps

Are you tired of rainbows yet?! I hope not because I have 2 more rainbow cards coming for you tomorrow, hehe. I will share the last two as part of our IG hop for the Rainbow Dreams release from Honey Bee Stamps.

For today, I am using the leftover dies from the cards I will share tomorrow to create this super cute stacked rainbow.

CARD RECIPE

This cute card features the new:

• Good Vibes Layering Stencils
• Rainbow Builder A2 Card Base
• Rainbow Accents Dies
• Look For The Rainbow 

I also used a few older supplies:

• White Foam Dots With Tab
• Bee Creative Glue
• Intense Black Ink
• Background Blender Brushes

Other supplies:

• Assorted Moonshine Sequins 
• Atelier Bee Sting Yellow Ink Cube
• Atelier Sweet Petunia Pink Cube
• Atelier Peacock Blue Ink Cube

For the background, I used the Good Vibes Layering Stencils and blended the inks out to create a rainbow blend. 

For the rainbow, I used the middle arch of the rainbow from the Rainbow Accents Dies that I cut in all the colors and stacked them together in rainbow order. I then accessorized it with the clouds, stars, and hearts, finishing it off with a sentiment and some sequin bling. 

I absolutely love how this card turned out. Rainbows always make me happy and I hope they do the same for you!

Rainbow Dreams Inspirations Day 1 | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, again friends, and Happy Thursday!

Have you been bitten by the foil bug? Either you love it or hate it. I have mixed reviews, lol. It depends on the day for me. Sometimes I foil without any issue and sometimes I get the worst transfers. For me, I think it is figuring out the papers that transfer best with solid plates that I sometimes have issues with. The thinner-lined foiled designs always transfer well for me. 

For my project today, I have a foiled card to share with you featuring products from the Rainbow Dreams release. *To use foil plates you will need a hot foil system. I used the Spellbinders one.

This foiled rainbowlicious card features the new:

• Rainbow Hot Foil Plate
• Look For The Rainbow 
• Look For The Rainbow Dies
• Rainbow A2 Pierced Cover Plate
• Rainbow Builder A2 Card Base 

Other Supplies used:

• Scallop A2 Frame Dies
• Outdoor Scene Builder Stencils
• Intense Black Ink
• Bee Creative Glue
• White Foam Dots With Tab
• Iridescent Rain Drops
• RAINBOW Glimmer Foil
• AURA Glimmer Foil
• RED Glimmer Foil
• Hot Foil System

As you can see from the pictures the darker rainbow colors foiled beautifully, but if you look closely at the yellow on the rainbow, it is a bit patchy. That is why I only used half of the rainbows that I foiled to create this wave. The yellow and the red didn't transfer as well, and since I hate to waste I came up with this design to salvage the good pieces.

This card is so pretty in real life. The reflective properties of the foil make it difficult to photograph them well, but I think I captured them as well as possible.

I hope this inspired you today, and if you are like me don't give up on foiling if you had a few bad attempts. If I had I may have not made this pretty card. Also even though, things sometimes are challenging I love learning from my mistakes.

Rainbow Foiled Roses Mini Slimline Card and Tag | Studio Katia

Hello friends and happy Saturday!

Have you had a chance to check out Studio Katia's latest release? There are so many new pretty stamps, dies, bling, tools, and all-new Hot Foil plates! If you do and decide to shop there is a May Release Special, Save 20% on new products use code MAY20 at the checkout.

I was super excited to try out the hot foil plates. With these plates, you need to have a hot foil system to be able to foil the design onto the paper. And, if you know me I had to use Rainbow Glimmer Foil.

CARD RECIPE

So to begin I foiled the Roses Hot Foil Plate using the Rainbow Glimmer Foil. I then die-cut the images using the coordinating Spring Roses Dies. Set these pieces aside to work on the card and the tag.

For both the card and the tag I used the Mini Slimline Set One dies. The pattern paper comes from the Black, White, and Rainbow Paper Panels.

I then used foam tape to add the scallop layer to the mini slimline card base. For the sentiment, I used a stamp from the Cone Bouquet set, that I stamped and heat embossed in white on black cardstock. 

For the tag, I used a sentiment that comes from the Gift Tag Greeting: Winter set. I just trimmed it down and added it to a black shadow layer.

To finish I just sprinkled on some pearls for more bling!

Mini Slimline Balloon Birthday Shaker and Floral Cards | Crafty Meraki

Hello again! I am back once again today to share with you a few cards I made to help celebrate Crafty Meraki's Second Anniversary!

Since it is their birthday I thought a birthday shaker would be fun to make. This mini slimline frameless shaker features the new Party Balloons Mini Slimline Meraki Para-dies that I paired with the sentiments from the Birthday Slimline Tag.

If you are curious about how this shaker was assembled, click HERE for a video I made a while ago. To create the background there was a lot of paper piecing happening here. I die cut the Party Balloons Mini Slimline Meraki Para-dies 3 times, one white layer and two black layers. For the white layer, I ink blended all the balloon colors using distress oxide inks. I then sandwiched the white layer between the two black ones. For the top black layer, I snipped the inside out just using the black frame. 

For the next two cards, I kept them super simple and just focused on the flowers. I sometimes like to keep the sentiments off the card until I am ready to send it to someone. This way they are more versatile. Both finished cards are 5X7s.  

To create this first one I used masking tape to block off a frame, and then added the ink blended grass and sky. Next, I die cut and pieced together the June Meraki Fora Para-Dies.

I then added the Meraki Sparkle Prismatic Green Crystals. To the centers, I also added some tiny beads.

This next card features the Madison Meraki Flora Para-Dies. The fun part about these dies is the cut lines in the flowers. They allow you to easily do some masking for ink blending, which is awesome if you want to use more than one color. I just slipped post-it paper in the cut lines and then blended.

You can see on the left flower my masking wasn't perfect, but I learned from my mistakes when I blended the one on the right. 

To finish up this card I added some Meraki Sparkle Prismatic Blue Crystals, even though they are blue they reflect a lot of purples.
