Hey Bestie Birthday Card | Honey Bee Stamps Love Letters Instagram Hop

This card features the new GAL PALS Stamps and coordinating Dies. Love this set!

CARD DETAILS

I began by stamping out the GAL PALS, coloring it using Copics, and then die cutting it with the GAL PAL DIES.

Next, I popped up the stamped image onto a card base that I had adhered to a pattern piece of cardstock trimmed to A2 size. The pattern paper comes from the LOVE LETTER PAPER PAD.

I wanted this to be a Birthday card for one of my best friends so I used the BIRTHDAY DIES to die cut the layers for the sentiment.

To complete the sentiment, I heat white heat embossed on black paper the Hey Bestie from the Gal Pals Stamps and the Happy from the BIRTHDAY stamp set. I then used the GAL PAL Dies and the SENTIMENT BANNER DIES to die cut the pieces.

Just to keep things real, I did add a few white streaks and some sparkly hair, but don't be fooled the sparkles are actually all just grey, LOL!

Calligraphy Hearts Valentine Cards | Spellbinders | GOM January 2021

Happy Monday my crafty friends.

Today I am sharing with you a trio of Valentine's Day cards featuring Spellbinders January Calligraphy Hearts Glimmer Hot Foil set. 

This month's foil set also coordinates with the Small Die of the Month Lovely Card Creator, the Large Die of the Month Slimline Kaleidoscope and the Clear Stamp of the Month Sending Love Set. 

CARD DETAILS

I think these cards are very simple and self-explanatory to recreate so I won't go into too many details. Like any other foiled card, these cards require a  GLIMMER HOT FOIL SYSTEM. What I did was RED foil a variety of different colored cardstock using all 3 heart designs, and then used the coordinating heart die to cut them out. I did the same thing with the sentiments and then cut them into strips. The fun part was figuring out the design and layouts.  

This first card was super simple. I used foam to pop the hearts up and then trimmed off any excess paper that hung off the edges. I then added a foiled sentiment and a few white pearl embellishments.

Again this next card was super simple. It's hard to see in the picture but I added some scorelines to the top white part of the card to add some texture and interest to the card. I then added the two love hearts on the sides and then popped up the one heart in the center. This design hides the transition of the paper. 

The foiled sentiment was then added and then once again I used the white pearls as embellishments.

For the last card, I used the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE to add SILVER foiled detail to the black cardstock piece. I then embellished the Calligraphy Heart further by adding some red and pink die cut flowers that also come with the set.

To the center of each flower, I then glued the same white pearls.

Keeping the color palette simple and limiting the supplies you use is a great way to create multiple coordinating card sets. Whenever I turn my HOT FOIL SYSTEM on I find it easier to create if my pieces are all foiled ahead of time. I also foil all the sentiments and cut them into strips. If you have any leftovers just keep them on hand for future projects (I store them in the die sleeve along with the dies). This will save you a little time next time you need a foiled sentiment strip!

J'Adore You Parisian Skyline Card | Honey Bee Stamps Day 5 Love Letters Sneak Peeks

Hello Everyone and welcome to Day 5, the final day of  Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps Love Letters Release! Make sure you stop by the Honey Bee Stamps Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team featuring more day 5 product reveals!

This fun and colorful Parsian themed card features the new ADORE stamp set and coordinating DIES. If you prefer die-cutting over stamping, I think you will love this card.  (Please note links will not be active until products go live TONIGHT @ 11pm EST.)

CARD DETAILS

 To begin, I reached for my cardstock scraps and then went to town die-cutting 2-3 layers of each Parisian building (the layers depended on the thickness of each cardstock). Once all the buildings were pieced together I then added a black piece of cardstock to the back to add the shadow layer.

I then cut thin strips of colored pieces of cardstock to create somewhat of a rainbow road and then glued them onto a piece of scratch paper that was then trimmed to the size of the top panel.

Once the rainbow piece was in place, I then arranged and glued the buildings down, popping up the yellow and green ones with foam tape.  

To finish off this simple card I die cut the top two "j'adore" layers from the ADORE DIE Set. I glued one black shadow layer followed by 3 white layers for extra dimension.  I then stamped the "you friend" in the space below that comes from the ADORE stamp set.

Sweet Smooch Valentine's Day Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps Day 4 Love Letters Sneak Peek

Today's Sweet Smooch Valentine's Day Slimline Card features the new S.W.A.K. Stamp and DIE Sets, the SMOOCH Stamp and DIE set and the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED Dies.

CARD DETAILS

The first thing I did was stamp all the gold S.W.A.K. lips onto a piece of white cardstock using watermark ink and then heat set it with gold embossing powder. I then used the new slimline frame from the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED to die cut the panel. I then glued it onto a piece of black cardstock that I cut to 9x4 inches that was then eventually glued onto the same size card base.

The next thing I did was to die cut the SMOOCH DIES and piece the layers together. I stacked and glued 3 white layers for more dimension. 

To complete the sentiment I also stamped out sentiments from the SMOOCH stamp set onto banners and used the scripted word dies from the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED dies. To the scripted dies I die cut two black layers and topped it off with a red layer. I then added clear embossing powder to give them a glossy finish. The heart that I used to dot the "i" comes from the FOREST FRIENDS Dies, that I had from a previous project.

To finish off this sexy card, I just had to add a pair of red lips using the S.W.A.K. stamp and DIE. The lips were stamped out using CANDIED APPLE Oxide Ink then heat set with a clear embossing powder.
