Bee Mine Valentine Card - with Felt Fridge Magnet | Honey Bee Stamps

As you can see the card is pretty basic. To create it I used one of the Stencils from the Fluttering Hearts Background Stencils and used pink ink to blend out the hearts. The sentiment is cut from black shiny cardstock using the Bee Mine Slimline Sentiments: Stitched Dies 👈also RETIRING! For the dot of the "i", I used a clay heart.

To make the felt bee, I wanted it to have 2 wings and be finished on both sides. To do that I die-cut each piece x2 from felt. I then first stitched the yellow body layers and the white wing layers together leaving a tiny hole for stuffing later. I used yellow embroidery floss to create a Backstitch all the way around the body. (I ended up using the back side of the bee as I like how the backside of the backstitch looked. Usually, the back side is the messy stitched side). Before completing the Backstitch I added some stuffing between the middle layers. I then finished stitching the body using black embroidery floss to attach the black pieces. For the wings, I used white embroidery floss but used a Blanket Stitch. 

Next, I stitched some eyelashes in place before gluing on some black enamel dots for the eyes. For the antennae, I used a thin wire that I threaded through the top and just twisted it to stay in place. I then snipped the excess length and curled ends. Now for the cheeks, I applied some pink ink using a shader brush, then added a white dot to the center using a gel pen.

To the backside of the bee, I used hot glue to attach a magnet to it. Once it is completely dry,  attach it to the card base by using another magnet to secure it in place on the inside of the card. For fun and a little magic, watch the bee move by sliding around the inside magnet!

Obviously, this card will not fit into an envelope. To solve this problem and keep the felt clean, I will store it and gift it in an A7 cello bag.

Lovely Layers Rainbow Rose | Valentine's Day Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my dear friends, and Happy New Year!!!

Yes, this is my first post for 2022 and of course, I had to start off with a Rainbow Rose inspiration🌹🌈😁

Today's card could be used for any occasion, but I did pair it with a "love you" sentiment from the new Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine to make it a valentine's Day Card. 

CARD RECIPE

To begin I die cut all the pieces for the Lovely Layers: Roses and then Ink Blended each layer of the petals using Atelier Inks from Inkon3, see thumbnails below.

For the petals, I first used Goddess Green Ink and then went back in with Trinity to darken some of the petals and stems.

I used foam tape to build up the petals of the rose, leaving the center free of foam so that I could add glue to it and pinch it together with reverse tweezers until the glue dried. This gives the rose some fan-like dimension. And, yes this does make the card super bulky. So this would be one card that would have to be hand-delivered or you'd have to put it in a "box of roses". This rose would also look amazing in a frame too! Check out my previous lovely layer frames HERE.

For the background, I used a few of the stencils from the Layered Lace Layering Stencils to add Moonstone Paste and create some glittery borders on the card front.

The "love you" stamp comes from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine set that was stamped on black cardstock using white ink and embossing PWD. It then was die cut using one of the smaller banners from the Sentiment Banner Dies.

To finish this beauty, I added some of my favorite sequins for even more sparkle and shine.

Sweet Smooch Valentine's Day Slimline Card | Honey Bee Stamps Day 4 Love Letters Sneak Peek

Today's Sweet Smooch Valentine's Day Slimline Card features the new S.W.A.K. Stamp and DIE Sets, the SMOOCH Stamp and DIE set and the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED Dies.

CARD DETAILS

The first thing I did was stamp all the gold S.W.A.K. lips onto a piece of white cardstock using watermark ink and then heat set it with gold embossing powder. I then used the new slimline frame from the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED to die cut the panel. I then glued it onto a piece of black cardstock that I cut to 9x4 inches that was then eventually glued onto the same size card base.

The next thing I did was to die cut the SMOOCH DIES and piece the layers together. I stacked and glued 3 white layers for more dimension. 

To complete the sentiment I also stamped out sentiments from the SMOOCH stamp set onto banners and used the scripted word dies from the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED dies. To the scripted dies I die cut two black layers and topped it off with a red layer. I then added clear embossing powder to give them a glossy finish. The heart that I used to dot the "i" comes from the FOREST FRIENDS Dies, that I had from a previous project.

To finish off this sexy card, I just had to add a pair of red lips using the S.W.A.K. stamp and DIE. The lips were stamped out using CANDIED APPLE Oxide Ink then heat set with a clear embossing powder.
