Lovely Layers Magnolia Cards | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello friends, and welcome back.

Today I am featuring the beautiful Lovely Layers: Magnolia Dies. These beautiful flowers are perfect for any occasion as you will see from the cards I'll be sharing.

CARD RECIPE

I won't go into too much detail as most of these cards were created by die-cutting and I am pretty sure you all can figure it out from the pictures. 

This first card could be for a friend, or rather really anyone you want to send your love to. It could also be used for a wedding. The foiled sentiments from the Foil Script: Wishes Hot Foil Plate/Dies just seem to elevate these cards to the next level giving them that extra finishing detail. To the centers of these magnolias, I blended some yellow ink.

This sympathy card was done the same way as the previous card only this time I used a white background with the Spring Leaves A2 Pierced Cover Plate. 

For the foiled sentiments, I used POLISHED BRASS - Glimmer Foil with the Hot Foil System. 

This last wedding shaker, I shared during the release on Instagram, but not here on the blog. For this card, I used the Circlescapes Shaker Frames to create the shaker parts for this easel card.

For this magnolia, I blended pink ink to the outside of the petals. I also used quite a bit of foam to make the flower look more dimensional. Obviously, this would not be a card I would send through the mail 😉

As I mentioned earlier, this is an easel card. To do that I added the shaker to a circle card base that I had scored in half to allow for the card to fold up and be displayed. Once again I used a sentiment from the Foil Script: Wishes Hot Foil Plate/Dies to create the stopper for the card to remain in the folded position.

Foiled Tulip Thank You Card | Honey Bee Stamps

This has been a busy crafty week for me, so I hope you aren't tired of all the posts, lol! I promise it is the last blog post for this week.

CARD RECIPE

If you saw my last card from the release, the one with the bee, you would have seen I foiled the background using the Lovely Layers: Greenery | Honey Cuts with the Hot Foil System. Here is a quick video in case you missed it, or see the previous post for more 👉here.

Always keep the negative scraps of your foil so that you can use it to make another background as I did here for this shiny background. To do that you will need a solid foil plate SSS|SB and a hot foil system SB and I used the Aura Glimmer foil. Once my panel was foiled, I trimmed it to 3.75 X 5 inches and glued it to the card base. 

I then die-cut all the pieces for the Lovely Layers: Tulips | Honey Cuts and pieced them together. For the center of the tulip, I also added Aura foil, by adding a layer of glue (wait for it to dry until it is tacky but not wet using a Zig Glue pen) to the stamen and brandishing it with a piece of glimmer foil scrap.

Next, I foiled the Thanks sentiment from the Small Card, Big Hug Foil Plates on Black cardstock using the same foil. Cut it and glued it in place.

To embellish the card I added a foiled ribbon tied in a bow to one of the stems and added some Warm Pearls Stickers. 

I hope this simple and yet so elegant foiled card inspired you. This card was a challenge to photograph because of the ever-changing colors from the foil, but it is so so pretty in real life.

Modern Spring Release Day 4 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello and happy 2/22/22!!! Welcome to the final day of sneak peeks for the Modern Spring release from Honey Bee Stamps. Make sure you stop by the Honey Bee Stamps Blog for more inspiration from the Design Team featuring more day 4 product reveals! Please note that new links will not be active until the Release goes live on February 22nd, 2021 @9pm CST.

This BEE-autiful card features a ton of new products mostly revealed from day 3, except for the latest foil plates from the new Small Card Hot Foil Plates.

So here is a list of the new products I used:

• Small Card Hot Foil Plate - foiled "I miss you" sentiment
• Small Card, Big Hug Stamps - inside sentiment stamps
• Small Card, Big Hug | Honey Cuts - coordinating die to cut the foiled sentiment
• Lovely Layers: Greenery | Honey Cuts - background foiled using the die cuts
• Lovely Layers: Bugs | Honey Cuts - Bee colored using Copic Markers, Liquid Pixie Dusted wing, for a furry texture I used a white gel pen and a black marker.

Foiled Rainbow Birthday Cards | Spellbinders | Yana's Blooming Birthday Collection

Hello friends. 

If you are like me you never have enough Birthday cards in your stash. So when I got the invitation to play with a few of Yana's Blooming Birthday Glimmer Collection of course I said YES! Birthday cards are always my most used cards and I always find myself scrambling at the last minute to make one. What are your most used cards?

CARD RECIPE#1

 (SEE SUPPLY LIST BELOW FOR INGREDIENTS USED)

• Set up Hot Foil System.
• Foil Sentiment from the Let Your Sentiments Shine Brighter (this month's GOM kit) using RAINBOW Glimmer Foil and running it through the PLATINUM 6 DIE CUTTING PLATFORM.
• Add a foiled frame around the sentiment using Essential Duo Lines Rectangles Foil Plates. Trim Panel.

• Use the Birthday Candle Background Plate to emboss onto a piece of cardstock. I chose to use the backside of the panel.
• Ink blend background. See inks used in the supply list below.
• Wrap Silver foil thread around the blended background. Tape ends behind the panel.
• Pop the sentiment onto the center of the card panel using foam tape.
• Glue panel onto the card base.
• Embellish with crystals.

CARD RECIPE#2

• On the background panel of the card, foil the birthday sentiment from the Have a Crafty Day Foil Kit of the Month using AURA Glimmer Foil.
• Ink Blend stenciled balloons as desired.

• On another cardstock panel foil the Skinny Stripe Background Foil Plate using AURA Glimmer Foil. Trim to size.
• Add stripes to card front using foam tape.
• Finish with some rainbow foiled candles die cut from the Birthday Candle Background Plate and crystals.

CARD RECIPE#3

• Foil the entire panel using the Birthday Candle Background Plate and RAINBOW Glimmer Foil.
• Foil another half a panel and die cut a few candles to layer onto the card panel.

• Using the excess from the previous panel that was foiled with the Skinny Stripe Background Foil Plate, add the birthday sentiment using plates from the EVERYDAY SENTIMENTS II and the Have a Crafty Day Foil Kit of the Month foiled in RAINBOW Glimmer Foil.
• Piece the card together, adding the sentiment panel to the card front with foam tape.
• Embellish with crystals.

I love the way these Foiled Rainbow Birthday Cards turned out using some of Yana's Blooming Birthday Glimmer Collection sets and I hope you were inspired by all the sparkle and rainbows.
