Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!!!

I am back again today to share with you my final card of 2019 because tomorrow starts off a brand new DECADE! Can you believe it? 

For today's card, I wanted to create something fun and festive to celebrate the occasion and Balloons came to mind, so that's what I used for inspiration. This would also make a great Birthday card too!

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I blended out some balloons along the edges of the card panel using the BIRTHDAY BALLOONS DUO STENCIL and BLENDER BRUSHES. I worked my way down the panel in somewhat of rainbow order. See the list of Distress Oxide inks used in the supply list below. 

I then die cut the panel using the frame from the DARLING RIBBON & FRAMES set. 

Next, I die cut the balloons for the card front using the DOTTED BALLOONS DIES and the SHAKER BALLOON DIE using Bristol paper that I also ink blended out with the BLENDER BRUSHES. I also die cut the little bow using gold foil paper to add to the largest balloon later.

Before adhering and popping the balloons onto the card front I stamped out a few sentiments using the HOLIDAY VILLAGE stamp set and the number candles from KOBI THE BIRTHDAY BEAR stamp set. I colored the flames in using Copic markers and then colored in the candles with a gold gelly roll pen.

To embellish this party card, even more, I added 3M CRYSTAL RAINBOW SEQUINS all around and a few ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS to the white spaces.

Happy 2020 New Years Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy New Years' Eve Eve Everyone!

Can you believe 2020 is just around the corner? Wow, it feels like 2019 has just flown by. Today I have a fun card to celebrate the upcoming New Decade of the '20s and I have to wonder what cool things the future has left to bring us. 

CARD DETAILS

I began this card by blending out some polka dots in the background using DETAIL BLENDER BRUSHES and POLKA DOT BACKGROUND STENCILS. See links below for Distress Oxide Inks used.

I then die cut the panel using the largest frame from the DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIE set, that I glued onto a black 5.5-inch square card base.

Then I die cut the largest star from the STACKING STARS DIES from silver glitter cardstock and popped that up with foam onto the center of the card.

Next, I die cut the HAPPY out of different cardstocks to layer and piece together. And as for 2020, I used the BEE BOLD NUMERIC DIES and added a gold shadow layer by slightly offsetting the numbers before bluing them together.

Honey Bee Hexagon Shaker Christmas Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Are you all ready for Christmas!? Can't BEE-lieve it is only a little of a week away 😬 How has this year just flown by... Haha, sorry I can't help myself with the Bee Punnies, lol! Well, today I wanted to take this opportunity as one of the Honey Bees and wish you all a very Merry and Bright Christmas as this will be my last Christmas Card for the year.

  CARD DETAILS

To begin this card, I stamped out the MERRY LIGHTS Stamp onto vellum paper and using Versafine Onyx Ink and then heat set the ink using black embossing powder. On the underside of the vellum, I used 3 Copic markers to color glow around each light. Next, I die cut the panel for the shaker portion of the card using the third largest Hexagon from the HEXAGON SOLID STACK CUTS. I then blended out the panel using 3 colors of distress oxide ink (see links below).

Now as you all know I am a little obsessed with making Frameless Shaker Cards and today I wanted to show you that it is possible to make these shakers any shape only this time I used vellum. I cut the stamped vellum piece a little larger than the hexagon panel that I had blended out. I then cut each corner off of the vellum hexagon piece and flipped back the vellum flaps to secure it to the back of the hexagon panel using Scor-tape. Before closing up the shaker pocket I filled it with BOKEH LIGHTS Confetti. To finish and embellish the shaker pocket, I added coordinating Crystal Drops to each Christmas Light bulb and set it off to dry. To continue the Honey Bee theme, I stamped out the cute little bees from BEE HIVE, colored them with Copics and then cut them out with the Coordinating BEE HIVE DIES. To each little bee, I added glossy accents to the body and Liquid Pixie Dust to the wings.

To make the Card Base I die cut the largest Hexagon from the HEXAGON SOLID STACK CUTS and then created a hinge to glue the two pieces together. I also die cut a pink and yellow Hexagon in decreasing size to layer on the card front.

On the inside, I stamped out Christmas Wishes by using both the BELIEVE BUZZ WORD and the WINTER stamp sets. I then added another little bee and trail from the BEE HIVE to finish off this cute little Bee themed Christmas Shaker Card.
