Beach Waves Retirement Shaker Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, crafty friends! 

Today, I'm excited to share a special shaker card with you. This beach-themed card was created for a dear friend and colleague, who is a doctor I've had the pleasure of working with for over 26 years. As he moves to a warmer climate, I wanted to send him off with a card that captures the essence of his new sunny surroundings.

CARD RECIPE

Create the Background:

• Use the Beach Break A2 Cover Plate to cut out the base of your card from a piece of cardstock.
• Place the Beach Break stencils over the corresponding areas of your background and blend Oxide Ink Pad VINTAGE PHOTO over the sand areas using Background Blender Brushes.
• Blend Oxide Ink Pad SALTY OCEAN over the water areas using Background Blender Brushes.
• Apply Paper GlazeTwinkle Lights for added texture and shine to both the sandy background and waves.

Create the Shaker Element:

• Insert the sandy background into a Bee Creative A2 Shaker Pocket.
• Add SUN LIGHT Confetti and any other shaker bits to the pocket.
• Seal the pocket and adhere it to a card base using Red Line Tape. 

Add Embellishments:

• Add a thin layer of glue to the edges of the waves and Sprinkle PRISMA GLITTER and Lawn Fawn Chunky Glitter over the wet areas for extra sparkle.

Create the Beach Scene:

• Use the Lovely Layers At The Beach Dies to cut out the beach umbrella, towel, and flip-flops from Americana Crepe Paper and other colored cardstock.
• Assemble the pieces and adhere them to the background.
• To the umbrella add a pearl from the Travel Pearl Stickers set.

Stamp and Die-Cut Sentiment:

• Stamp the "Toes in the sand, drink in the hand" sentiment from the Rest & Relaxation Stamps set using the Bee Creative Intense Black Ink Pad.
• Die-cut the sentiment using the coordinating Rest & Relaxation Dies and adhere it to the card.
• On the inside of the card stamp the retirement sentiment from the same set.

I hope this card brings a smile to my colleague's face and serves as a small reminder of our many years of working together. Creating this beach-themed card was a joy, and I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and feel inspired to create your own sunny scenes.

Easy Breezy Beach Inspired Friendship Cards | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my friends. Hope you are enjoying your last few weeks of Summer, so hard to believe the Fall is less than a month away!

Today I have cards that were super quick to put together and involve minimal stamping, and no coloring. These kinds of cards are perfect for those of you who prefer die-cutting over stamping and coloring.

CARD DETAILS

For all of my cards today I used background images that come from the BEACH VIBES Paper Pad, choosing the papers was probably the hardest part of making these cards, lol! Once I decided on the once papers, I trimmed them all to A2 card panel size.

For this specific card, I used the PALM FROND COVER PLATE to die cut a piece of Beige colored cardstock and then glued it on to the pattern paper.

Next, I die cut gold glitter foliage to add behind all the sentiments, using the TROPICAL BOUQUET DIES.  I then stamped and white heat embossed onto black cardstock all the sentiments from the SEA BREEZE stamp set and then die cut them with the coordinating SEA BREEZE DIES to use on all the cards.

Also on this card, I used a few of the gold HOT TROPICS GEM STICKERS along with some gold pearls.

For this next card, I used both the GARDEN LATTICE CP BASE and the GARDEN LATTICE CP TOP.

I kept this card super simple by just adding a few Monstera leaves from the TROPICAL BOUQUET DIES along with the sentiment and a few pearls.

This final card once again uses a pattern piece of paper from the BEACH VIBES PAPER PAD, this time I only used the GARDEN LATTICE CP TOP, and the rest of the was done as the previous ones only using different foliage and sentiment.

Paradise truly is a state of mind!

Looking at these cards make me feel calm, I just wished I lived closer to the beach. I hope these give you some inspiration for creating your cards using pattern paper.
