White Sunflower Slimline Hello Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello crafty friends and welcome back to my blog. 

Today's gorgeous White Sunflower Slimline Hello Card is part of an Instagram Hop to celebrate Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Splendor Release. If you'd like to join and enter the giveaway click HERE.

Have you ever seen white sunflowers? I have to admit, I had never seen them until this year and I fell in love with how beautiful they looked in white. Sunflowers are one of my favorite flowers and in white, it just took them to another level!

This card was super simple to make as there was no stamping or coloring involved, just a bit of ink blending and die-cutting so it did take a little longer to do, but the results were so worth it. 

CARD RECIPE

Dies:

• Lovely Layers: Sunflowers Dies

• Bitty Buzzwords Dies

Paper: 

• Black, Light Cream, and Light Green Heavy Weight Colored Cardstock

• Neenah Solar White 110lbs

Ink:

•  Antique Linen Distress Oxide

• Goddess Green Atelier Ink

Die Cut Machine:

• Gemini Junior

Adhesives:

• Bee Creative Glue

•  Foam Squares

Embellishments:

•  Burlap Lace Ribbon

• Chunky Sparkle Glitter

Other Tools:

• Detail Blender Brushes
• Stardust Gel Pen

To bring the flowers to life, I added ink to the center of the flower layers and the edges of the leaves. I then curled the petals and added foam to each layer to give each flower dimension.

To the center of each flower, I just had to add sparkles. I then added more by using a gel pen to the top layer where the seed impressions are made into the die-cut. 

To the background, I glued a piece of burlap lace ribbon, then arranged and glued the elements onto the slimline panel. I then finished off this Fall card by adding the hello from the Bitty Buzzwords Dies that I staked and glued 3 times using black cardstock.

I used vellum behind the house layer. To the windows, I used a yellow marker to color in the area. This will add a yellow tint making the card spookier, just in case the recipient wants to add a tea light behind the card to display it. For fun, I stamped spider webs in each window and glued a jack-o-lantern to the bottom right window.

I love the Mini Slimline size. As you can see all that is on the card front is the Autumn Buzzword Die along with some leaves from the Itty Bitty Flowers set. This would be a great size to mass produce as it is quite small and fairly quick to make especially if you used pattern paper rather than ink blend it.

I love this Basket Weave Stencil from the Spring Release. Doesn't it look like a sweater pattern? Well, I hope you thought so too as that is what I was going for with the warm sweater weather vibes.

You're So FabOOlous Halloween Light Up/Wobbles Card | Ink On 3/Pear Blossom Press Collab

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!

I hope you can join me over on Instagram for a fun IG Hop. Just in case you can't though, I still wanted to share this cute Interactive Halloween card here with you today featuring products from Inkon3 and Pear Blossom Press.

CARD DETAILS

This cute card wobbles and lights up. I began this card by stamping out the cute ghost images from the PUMPKIN FRIENDS set (which at the moment is sold out, sorry) using BLACKOUT INK. I then colored it in with a few Copic markers and fussy cut the images.

To create the background I used Atelier Inks, (see colors used below in the thumbnails) as well as the WAVY STENCIL. I then punched a few holes for the wire of the EZ-Lights to fit through. I also punched out the eyes of the larger ghost and attached one light behind each eye using tape to secure it in place. Behind the ghost, I also added an Action Wobbles Spring, then pull the excess wiring behind the panel. 

To make the ghost's eyes look cute and not scary, I first drew in some lashes and then added a couple of black sparkly transparent crystals.

Next, I stamped out the You're so sentiment from BAD AND BOUJEE onto my card panel before going any further. (forgot to stamp it prior to wiring). I then stamped out the fabOOlous onto black cardstock using JUICY INK and heat embossed it with ARCTIC WHITE E. POWDER. The FabOOlous was created by combining two sets, 1. DOGWOOD FLOWER and 2. PHAT ALPHANUMERIC. Using a piercing tool I poked holes through the centers of the O's.

Behind the sentiment, I used the last EZ-Light and attached it between the two O's to add a glow in behind them. I then added foam to the strip and attached it to the card front.

Finally, I taped down the EZ-Light push button behind the sentiment strip, where the recipient will push down on. Taped the excess wires to the pack of the card panel, leaving room along with the edges to add foam around the border and attached it to the card base.

And there you have it, a Halloween Light Up/Wobbles Card. SO cool right!?
