Welcome back, it is Day 6 and the final Day of the Honey Bee Stamps Holiday Wishes Release Inspiration Week and I am obsessed with today's card. It definitely is one of my favorites that I have made for this release so far.

To create the Shaped card, I die-cut the largest panel of the Front Porch Dies, created a hinge at the top, and then glued the pieces together. The inner panel does have embossed areas so to add a flat surface for writing I just added a rectangle panel to fit. Once the base is put together then it's a matter of getting creative by adding all the Front Porch Holiday Add-On Dies.

Keyhole Shaker Card | Hero Arts

Hello friends, 

Happy Friday! I have had a crazy busy couple of weeks and finally made it back into the craft room. I spent most of last week on my time off from work, re-doing my craft room. If you are curious and would like to see it make sure you go check out my stories and Reel over on Instagram. I have saved the stories to a highlight. 

So let's get on with today's card. This simple shaker card features the Keyhole design from this My Monthly Hero Kit January 2022 and I used it to create a Welcome Home card for a friend who will be moving soon.

If you know me I love shakers, although I must admit it has been a while since I have made a traditional one as I prefer making my frameless shaker versions now. So for this card, I cut out the keyhole window using the Fancy cover plate from Kraft cardstock. I then added the acetate to the back of the opening and then built the foam well to house the iridescent heart sequins around the opening and edges. On a piece of black cardstock, I stamped out the sentiment "Welcome Home" that comes from the Signpost Stamp & Cut XL and heat embossed it in white, and added a pile of the heart sequins to the center of the cardstock. I then removed the protective layer of the foam tape from the top panel and lined the bottom of the keyhole with the sentiment to create the shaker element. This layer was then glued onto a Kraft card front panel that was glued onto the card base. 

To finish I added a key to the front of the window that is included in the My Monthly Hero Kit January 2022.

Honey Bee Stamps Deerly Loved Release Inspiration Week | Snow Buddies Cards

Hey friends, welcome back to Day 2 of Honey Bee stamps Deerly Loved Release inspiration week! Today I have a few cards to share with you featuring the new Snow Buddies stamp set and dies, plus a whole lot more new products that were just released!

As you can see here I used the Rectangle Windows Trio Honey Cut die, to create this fun flash scene of the snowman's reaction as he watches the bunny toss the snowball to get the girl bunny’s attention on the other side of the card.

The hello diecut hello sentiment comes from the new Jingle All the Way stamp set and the stamped "you" comes from the Welcome Home set.

To create this card, I first began by die cutting the Rectangle Window Trio frame for the front panel. With a pencil, I traced out the opening of the window frames on to the bottom panel. Next, I stamped out my snow buddy images within the pencil lines, colored them in using Copic markers then erased the lines. To the card front, I stamped out the bunny and the snowball images. The snowballs were made by using the circle stamps from the Background Builder set. Once all the coloring was done I laid both cardstock pieces together making sure that the snowmen were properly aligned in the window frames, and then used the snowfall stencil from the Winter Wonder Background Stencil set and added glimmer paste to it to create a winter fall like scene. To the snowballs, I added some glossy accents to them to make them shine.

For this next card, I began by using the Winter Wonderland Stencils to create the colorful rainbow-like mountain background using distress oxide inks. Once the ink was dry I stamped a few of the sentiments from the Jingle All The Way set and snowflakes onto the card front using a white ink and then heat set them with a white embossing powder. I then die cut the entire panel using the largest A2 Deckle Edge Rectangle Die. For some sparkle, I added a thin line of Sparkle embossing powder to create a snow drift behind the snowman.

I LOVE how this card turned out, way too cute and rainbow colors are always my favorite! 😍

After the sentiments were on the background, I felt like the "Jingle All The Way" stamped sentiment wasn't standing out enough from the background because of all the white space. To make it pop out just a little I used a light grey Copic marker to add some shadowing underneath the scripted letters. That seemed to do the trick!

For my snow buddy images, I did a no line coloring using Fadeout ink and Copic markers. To the nose, buttons and the mouth of the snowman, I added some glossy accents for some shine and dimension. I also added a bunch of highlights using a white jelly roller pen and a few Raw Honey Sequins.
