Holly Jolly Scalloped Christmas Tree Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Friends!

Have you all put up your Christmas Tree yet? I just did yesterday! Love how festive my house looks now with all the twinkly lights 😍 Let the festivities of the season begin!

For today's card, I am sharing a Pink Christmas Tree. Not sure if they still are a popular thing but I wanted to use a softer pallet for this card. 

To create this card I began by cutting the pink cardstock in 2cm strips. I then stamped out the scalloped edged from the Background Builder set and heat embossed the stamped line using a clear sparkly embossing powder. I then diecut each piece using the Background Builder Scalloped Edge Die. Next, I glued each strip to a scrap piece of cardstock that I had die cut using the large triangle from the Stacking Pennants dies. Once the pieces were all glued in place, I die cut the tree out using the same triangle die. To decorate the tree I used the Blizzard Confetti, gluing the cupped side down to make the confetti look more like Christmas Ball ornaments.

To top off the tree top, I die cut the two smallest stars from the Stacking Stars dies using a gold glitter foil cardstock and added a Rainbow Rhinestone to the center.

The tree trunk was made by stacking the Banner builder die-cuts from largest to smallest and gluing them together.

To create the background, I used a stamp from the Background Builder Set stamping it vertically first and then horizontally just along the bottom and used a gold embossing powder to heat set them. I then ran finished background through the die cut machine using the A2 Deckle Edge Frame and then glued that to a gold glitter piece of cardstock I had adhered to the card base. 

To finish off the card I stamped out the sentiments from the Fa La La set onto a thin banner strip and then placed them along the tree tucking the edges underneath it. I then stamped, heat embossed and die cut the snowflakes from the Jingle All the Way set and popped them on to the card front.

Honey Bee Stamps Deerly Loved Release BEE Inspired Week | Stenciled Backgrounds

Hello again friends and Happy Halloween! Sorry no Halloween cards today for you but I think you'll love these anyways 😊

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Honey Bee Stamps BEE Inspired Week for the Deerly Loved Release. Today's cards feature some of the new stencils.

For this first card, I used the Geometric Background Stencil. I use Distress Oxide inks to create an ombre blended look that lightens towards the center circle that I had masked off. On the inside of the circle, I stamped out the let it snow sentiment from the Jingle All The Way stamp set in Black Versafine ink and heat set it with a clear powder. 

Once the Distress Oxide ink on the background was dry, I stamped out the snowflakes in white and heat set them with a white embossing powder. Added some snow to the background with a white gel pen and that pretty much was it for this card.

For this next card, I use the Poinsettia Stencil for the background. Again I used a few colors of Distress Oxide inks to color in the different parts of the flowers. For the sentiment, I use the jingle bells and stamped it twice adding a comma in between onto a piece of black cardstock that I heat embossed in white. I then glued the sentiment strip to the card panel and ran both pieces through the die-cut machine using the Scallop A2 Frame Dies. I finished off the card front by adding some glossy accents to the Poinsettia centers.

To the inside, I wanted to finish the Jingle Bells verse by stamping out the Jingle all the way on the inside of the card.

For this last card, I created a thank you card by adding the Thanks layered die cut onto the blended Distress Oxide ink rainbow background using the Chevron Arrow Shaped Background Stencil.

The panel was then die cut using the largest A2 Deckle Edge Die, and then the card was finished by adding some of the Aurora Lights Confetti Mix on the front.
