Illustrative Floral Wedding Cards | Spellbinders GOM JULY-2020

Happy Monday Friends, hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

On the blog today I am sharing a couple of Illustrative Floral Wedding Cards featuring the July Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month Club from Spellbinders.

CARD DETAILS

For the shaker card, I began by heating up the GLIMMER HOT FOIL SYSTEM PLATFORM and then running the largest two Illustrative Floral glimmer plates through the PLATINUM 6 DIE CUTTING PLATFORM using the SILVER Glimmer Foil. I then die cut the frames out using the NESTABILITIES ESSENTIAL LABEL ETCHED DIES.

Next, I glued the largest illustrative Floral glimmer frame to the card front.

To create the shaker area of the card I glued a piece of acetate behind the smaller illustrative Floral frame and added foam tape along the edges. I then added my shaker bits to the center of the card, removed the foam tape liner, and pressed the shaker window in place.

To finish off this wedding card, I added a silver foiled Mr. and Mrs. die cut that comes from the MR and MRS WEDDING CAKE die set.

For this next card, I used the largest illustrative Floral frame again, this time with the POLISHED BRASS - Glimmer Foil. I then die cut the frame out with the same NESTABILITIES ESSENTIAL LABEL ETCHED DIES.

To the card front, I also foiled a sentiment that came from the JUNE Hot Foil Kit of the Month Club.

Finally, to finish off this card I added a large bloom that comes from the SWEET COTTAGE FLOWERS die set, that I embellished by inking it up with a couple of Distress Oxide Inks and then added some gold foil pearls to the center.

Elegant Foiled Wedding Cards featuring Wedding Season Dies by Nichol Spohr | Spellbinders

Hello Friends!

Today I have some beautiful Wedding cards to share with you. Even though the wedding season has been slower this year due to the Pandemic, couples are still getting married by having smaller more intimate gatherings or postposing them into the future. Either way, I am prepared, lol!

My cards today feature a few of the dies from Wedding Season by Nichol Spohr collection, which are perfect for all your wedding card needs!

CARD DETAILS

For my first card, I began by adding SILVER Glimmer Foil using the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE on to a piece of Kraft card stock. I then used the largest frame from the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES to trim down the panel.

Next, I die cut the HAPPILY EVER AFTER SENTIMENT using a silver foil cardstock. I also die cut the leaves from the same paper and the flowers using a white heavyweight card stock and glued the pieces in place as seen below.

To finish off this card, I added some ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS and added the panel onto a white A2 sized card base.

For this gold wedding card, I began by adding a dotted foil detail to the card panel using POLISHED BRASS Glimmer Foil and the GLIMMER RECTANGLE GLIMMER PLATES. I then die cut the card front with the largest frame from the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES.

Here again, I kept the card simple by only using 2 colors. This time, I used the MR and MRS WEDDING CAKE DIES the I die cut the MR and MRS, the cake background, trim, and the leaves using a gold foil cardstock and the cake and flowers using white cardstock.

I then adhered the pieces onto the center of the card front panel, using foam tape to pop up some areas on the cake to add some dimension. And then just finished this card by adding some GOLD FOIL PEARLS for added interest.

Elegant Kaleidoscope Strips and Borders Card Set | December 2019 Large Die of the Month | Spellbinders

 

Hello crafty friends and happy Thursday! I hope you are all having a good week so far.

Today my cards feature Spellbinders Kaleidoscope Trio Strips and Borders which are in the December Large Die of the Month Kit. To be honest I wasn't too sure if I was going to like these dies but that changed quickly once I started to die cut them out and layer the pieces together. I love the potential and versatility that they offer in combination or when used separately. So needless to say don't judge a die until you've used it, lol!

  CARD DETAILS

For this first card, I began by die cutting the bottom layer from a white piece of cardstock. I ran this flower-like die twice to create two rows of flowers. I then lined up the border die to cut off the bottom. To fancy up the card a little I die cut the top layers using a metallic gold foil (I also did the same as you will see for the other cards) and then glued them in place.

Next, I glued die cut panel to a light blue layer that I had previously adhered to the card base. To embellish I used a medium-sized light blue pearl to the center of each flower and then added larger white pearls to the spaces in between.

The sentiments I used in all of the cards today come from the Deco Borders and Corners Stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.

For this next card, the process was identical to the one above, only this time I did three rows and flipped the middle row to nestle into the row before it.

Once again I used some white pearls to embellish it and stamped out the sentiment from the same set. I just love how the white pearls pick up and reflect the pink color from the paper.



This next card turned out to be my favorite one of all, and to be honest I thought it was the die I was going to like least! But just look at the beautiful detail. So dainty... it reminds me of lace on a vintage wedding dress. Again, my process was the same, only this time I used an Ivory colored cardstock panel.

To embellish, I used vintage pearls to coordinate with the ivory and continue with the vintage look.

So pretty, right!? I think it will make a perfect card for a Wedding.
