Whaley Great Frameless Slimline Shaker Card | Tonic Studios

Hello friends, 

Guess what?  Not only is today Father's Day, but it is also my Birthday! Woohoo!!! Yay for getting older, lol!

Today's card is part of an 👉Instagram Hop. A bunch of my crafty friends and I have joined together to encourage and send good vibes to a fellow crafter in need. Please join us over there and help send some love and encouragement to our friend Andy Granick.

As you can see I made another frameless shaker card. Only this time I did use the Shaker Creator Pockets that I helped to develop from Tonic Studios. If you haven't tried my DIY technique or using these pockets you are missing out as they are a complete shaker game changer.

CARD RECIPE

• Create your background panel. (I used Atelier Re-Inkers to watercolor this slimline panel)
• Stamp out the images onto the background.
• SHOOT FOR THE STARS
• WHALEY GREAT SET
• Die-cut the fish into the sea and then glue a piece of foil cardstock in behind the panel.
• Trim to fit the Slimline Shaker Creator Pocket.

• Create the Shaker Pocket by folding and gluing down 3 of the SHAKER CREATOR tabs to the background panel.
• Fill with shaker bits.
• Fold and glue down the last tab.
• Add the Shaker Front to a Slimline Card base using a strong adhesive.
• Stamp out the images from the WHALEY GREAT SET, color, and die-cut them using the coordinating die set.
• Glue them onto the shaker front.
• The moon comes from the SHOOT FOR THE STARS set that I ink blended.

• Stamp the inside with a sentiment from the WHALEY GREAT SET.

• Here are a few close-ups of this pretty ocean scene.

Hello friends and Happy Friday!

Today's fun sparkly Full Panel See Through Shaker Card is part of an Instagram Hop happening over on Instagram as we continue to celebrate the Summer Stems Release from Honey Bee Stamps. If you'd like to join and enter the giveaway click HERE.

CARD RECIPE

• To create the sleeve for the card front, I used a Slimline Cello bag as the width of it makes the perfect size for an A2 Card.
• Cut a piece of acetate to A2 Size and slide it into the Slimline Cello bag.
• Trim off the excess top of the cello bag, leaving about an inch longer than the acetate to create a flap.

• Fill Cello Bag with Glitter. (I used Martha Stewart's Chunky Glitter, sorry no longer available. But you can use any flat glitter for this)
• Bend the cello over a card panel and adhere the flap to the back of it. Add tape along the cut edge to keep the glitter from falling out of the bag.

• Add another card panel to sandwich the bag and create the back of the card base. (I used a black piece of cardstock)
• Stamp the inside of the card using stamps from the Crafty Stamp Set and Honey Bee Intense Black Ink.

• Die-cut and piece together sentiments to cover up the message on the inside. I used the Crafty Honey Cuts and the Bitty Buzzword Dies. The Happy Birthday comes from the Bitty Buzzwords Stamp Set that was stamped and heat embossed in white.

And that is it! So simple right!?! How pretty is that? This Full Panel See Through Shaker Card definitely has that wow factor and an element of surprise. Perfect for a birthday card, especially a crafty friend who truly sweats glitter!

Here is how it looks when it is closed up. Almost looks like a frameless shaker card, but with a fun twist!
