Hello Shaker Card | Picket Fence Studios

Greetings, my crafty friends!

I'm thrilled to present the cutest shaker card featuring the Picket Fence May Release. If you love shakers and enjoy exploring various card techniques, this creation is for you! CARD RECIPE

BACKGROUND

• Add a card panel to the Paper Inking Palette - 10x10
• Place the Rainbow Dreams 6x8 Stencil over the card panel
• Add Rose Red Paper Glaze Glass and Sea Glass Blue Paper Glaze to the top of the stencil
• Using a paper scraper or palette knife, drag down the paper glazes over the panel, blending the two glazes in the middle to create a blend of the two colors 
• Set aside to dry

SHAKER

• Die cut the front of the Shaker Panel using the A2 Saying Hello Cover Plate Die
• Glue a piece of acetate to the back of the A2 Saying Hello Cover Plate Die to create the window
• Add a thin strip of foam tape along the outer edge of the A2 Saying Hello Cover Plate Die
• Once the background is dry, Sprinkle Speed of Light Gems and Sequin Mix - Iridescent Moonshine on the center of the panel
• Remove the protective layer from the foam tape and attach the shaker front to the background
• Glue shaker onto the card base

CARD FRONT

• Stamp out the critter images from the Baby Critters Stamp Set using Black Hybrid Ink Pad
• Color images in 
• Die cut using coordinating Baby Critters Dies
• Die cut the Hello from the Hello to You Word Dies using Black Glitter paper
• Glue Hello to the card front
• Add foam to the back of the critter and glue in place

INSIDE 

• Stamp out the sentiment from the Swanky Sentiments - Sympathy Stamps using Black Hybrid Ink Pad
• Optional, add an additional critter to the bottom of the panel

Let's Party Shaker Card - Heffy Doodle

Hello Crafty Friends, 

I am excited to return today with another guest post for Heffy Doodle. Today's card is the perfect card for any celebration. 

CARD RECIPE

• Prep a piece of A2-sized Bristol paper using anti-static powder.
•  Stamp out the boxes of presents from the Wrapped With Love Stamps using watermark ink.
• Heat emboss the stamped panel using clear embossing powder.
• Ink blend the panel. I used 3 inks to create a rainbow blend.

• Die-cut the panel using the Scalloped Imperial Frames Dies.
• Glue the center of the background onto the card base.
• Add acetate to the scalloped Frame and foam tape along the edge of the frame.
• Add the shaker bits to the center of the card front.
• Remove the protective layer from the foam and line up the scallop frame with the background to close the shaker layer.
• Die cut the Let's Party Jumbo Sentiment Dies. For the letters, I used black card stock and for the background layer, I used vellum.
• Finish by adding some clay stars onto the die-cut stars.

How fun is this card!? I love that it is a party in itself. Shakers are my all-time favorite kind of card to gift simply for that reason.

Hidden Inlaid Find Me By the Sea Shaker Card | Picket Fence Studios

Hello friends,

CARD RECIPE

Background Pattern Paper - A2 Card Fronts - Beachcombing

Turtle - A Sea Turtle's Journey Stamps & Coordinating Dies

Sentiments - Find Me by the Sea Word Die

DIY Shaker Pocket - Shaker Sheets

Shaker Bits - Sequin Mix Island Blues

Glaze on black cardstock - Sea Glass Blue Paper Glaze 

• Start by stamping the turtle onto one of the Beachcombing A2 Card Fronts using black pigment ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder.
• Die cut the turtle using the A Sea Turtle's Journey Dies.
• Glue the die-cut card background to a black paper panel. 
• Die cut the "Find Me by the" from the Find Me by the Sea Word Die and glue the sentiment onto the Beachcombing pattern paper.
• Add two thicker foam dots where the turtle body outline is. Place them far enough from each other to support the turtle die cut. 
• Remove the adhesive liner from the foam dots, center a cut piece of the Shaker Sheets, and create the shaker pocket. 
• Fill the pocket with the Sequin Mix Island Blues. NOTE: some of the sequins will get caught on the foam dots as it doesn't allow unrestricted movement in the pocket. Allow enough space between foam dots to allow the shaker bits to flow through. NOTE: Using foam dots will allow more space in the pocket, and the ability to use thicker shaker bits. This sequin mix has chunky iridescent bubbles, which normally would not fit well in a flat shaker pocket. 
• Seal the last flap of the pocket and adhere it to an A2-sized card base.

• Glue the turtle onto the die-cut opening, on top of the plastic sheet. If using a liquid glue, set aside to dry.
• Apply a thin layer of the Sea Glass Blue Paper Glaze onto black cardstock and allow it to dry. 
• Once dry, die-cut the "Sea" from the Find Me by the Sea Word Die and glue it onto the shaker front.
• For some sparkle and to create wave-like foam on the letters, I added some glue to the Sea Word Die and sprinkled some chunky glitter while the glue was still wet.
• Finally, I added an enamel dot on the turtle's eye to give it extra life.
