Hello dear friends and happy Monday!
Some of you have noticed I haven't been as active recently, and this is true. I have been dealing with some visual changes that are affecting my eye, in particular the left cornea. The vision in my left eye is very limited and blurry that even a corrective lens cannot fix it. I am currently trialing a few medications to see if they will help as this is autoimmune-related, but sadly, I don't think the damage is reversible. Because of this, I have been trying my best to avoid straining my eyes as much as possible, to preserve the vision I have left especially in the affected eye. Since my right eye is dominant, I can still see perfectly with it and only notice that my vision is really bad if I close my right eye or if I'm tired and I overdo it. When it is really bad I develop double vision or get bad headaches. Being on the phone is the hardest and that is why I haven't been as active. Unfortunately, I have had to slow down my cardmaking commitments, but I am not ready to give it up crafting just yet. I love creating and I am so thankful for all the opportunities this community has given me that have brought me so much joy over the years. I hope you still will stick with me and continue to follow my creative journey even if it is at a slower pace.
Now, let's get on with today's card. You all know my favorite color is rainbow so I thought it would be fun to make Grandma's Christmas Tree in rainbow colors and just like the card sentiment, I still believe in Christmas miracles😉
CARD RECIPE
- I started by ink-blending the Christmas Tree using the 3D Christmas Tree Stencils and 3 colors of ink. Pink, yellow and blue. (See supplies linked below).
- Once the tree was blended out, I die cut the tree first with the outline die from Grandma's Christmas Tree Dies, and then the die to cut out the decoration slits on the tree.
- Next, I embossed the tree using Grandma's Christmas Tree 3D Embossing Folder.
- I then lined up one of the stencils and added the glitter layer using glimmer paste.
- Once it was dry I added the white glitter bulbs to the tree as well as the rainbow pearls.

- For the background, I used the Nordic Winter Background Stencils blended using the same inks.
- I then layered over it another layer of vellum that I embossed using the Kaleidoscope 3D Embossing Folder.
- I trimmed the layers and added them both to the bottom layer that I die-cut using the Scallop A2 Frame Dies.
- Next, I popped some foam dots on the back of the tree and glued it to the background panel.

- The sentiment comes from the new Foil Script Holiday and Dies that I first foiled using Speckled Prism Glimmer Foil and then die-cut with the coordinating die, stacking a few layers together and then gluing onto the tree.
- To finish the tree I added an iridescent star to the topper.
I hope you enjoyed today's 3D Embossed Rainbow Tree Card. It reminds me of the tree we had growing up with the rainbow-colored lights.
