Slimline Crafty Hugs Friendship Card | Studio Katia

Hello, again my Friends!

I am back today with another card for Studio Katia. If you missed the news, make sure you click on the link to join the Studio Katia June Release Blog Hop, lots of inspiration and prizes to be won! 

I was so excited to see some slimline dies and a 6X6 paper pack in the New Release which has lots of rainbow pattern goodness (which happens to be my favorite). Plus you know I love all things crafty, so I absolutely love the CRAFTASTIC set that I used in today's card. 

  CARD DETAILS

To begin this card I actually began by die cutting the cup of crafty tools out first using the CRAFTASTIC DIES.  The die is solid which makes it harder to line up with a stamped image. It was designed this way because it cuts inside the stamped area. But by die cutting it first, I now knew where to stamp the image from the CRAFTASTIC set and line it all up.

TIP: If you use the negative piece of the die-cut and line it up in your stamp positioner you can then center the stamp in the die-cut area. Test out the alignment by using a post-it under the die-cut opening, and then once it is lined up, add your die-cut piece back in place and stamp. This is a great way to stamp multiple images for mass production.

I then just colored the images in using Copic markers and stamped the "you inspire me" sentiment on the front of the mug.

Next, I die cut center dotted frame from the DOTTED SLIMLINE - SET 2 and stamped out the sentiments from the CRAFTASTIC set.

I then die cut the scalloped layer using a rainbow pattern cardstock from the new BLACK, WHITE, AND RAINBOW PAPER pack. I taped used 2 pieces of the paper together to create the length for the Slimline Scallop Die that comes again from the DOTTED SLIMLINE - SET 2.

Beneath the scalloped rainbow layer, I also added the largest dotted frame from the DOTTED SLIMLINE - SET 1.  I then assembled the card using FOAM TAPE and Studio Katia Glue.

To finish off the rainbow-inspired Slimline Crafty Hugs Friendship Card, I added a variety of pearls in various colors of the rainbow. See links below for all the new pearls.

Studio Katia June 2020 Release Blog Hop

Hello Friends and welcome to Studio Katia's June Release Blog Hop. You should have arrived from Isha Gupta and Dana Gong is your next stop. 

This release includes 6 New Clear Stamp Sets and 4 sets of Coordinating Dies, 6 New Stand Alone Creative Dies, 15 New Embellishments, and a Studio Katia FIRST 6X6 Paper Set! So let's get started with the cards I created for the hop.

I find masculine cards sometimes the most difficult to create and I always seem to have a shortage of them in my stash. The new SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS stamp set is going to definitely help with that problem. Of course, this set could also be used for the sporty girl in your life.

CARD DETAILS

This first card features the RECTANGULAR DOTS COVER on the background. I then added one of the stamped images from the SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS set that I colored with Copics and die-cut using the SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS DIES.

The banner comes from the new SIMPLE TRIMMINGS Die set that I stamped with a birthday greeting from the new HAPPY CELEBRATIONS stamp set. I then added the word CHAMP that I die cut using the CHUNKY ALPHABET and added a black shadow layer to the letters by offsetting the die cuts.

To embellish the card I used some WINE BERRY PEARLS, added some white gel pen detailing, and glossy accents to areas.

As you can see this next card is very similar to the first one. This time I stamped one of the images on the cards base from the SPORT-BALL TRIMMINGS set. Next, I added the colored, die-cut version of the trimmings on the top half of the card that I glued onto a piece of black cardstock that was die cut using the inner from the DOTTED SLIMLINE - SET 2. I then just trimmed off the ends that hung over the card base.

The banner and the letters were done using the same products as my last card but using different colors.

I hope you were inspired by these sporty, masculine birthday cards. I think these would also make wonderful cards for father's day and thank you cards for coaches.

Elegant Foiled Wedding Cards featuring Wedding Season Dies by Nichol Spohr | Spellbinders

Hello Friends!

Today I have some beautiful Wedding cards to share with you. Even though the wedding season has been slower this year due to the Pandemic, couples are still getting married by having smaller more intimate gatherings or postposing them into the future. Either way, I am prepared, lol!

My cards today feature a few of the dies from Wedding Season by Nichol Spohr collection, which are perfect for all your wedding card needs!

CARD DETAILS

For my first card, I began by adding SILVER Glimmer Foil using the MODERN LINES GLIMMER PLATE on to a piece of Kraft card stock. I then used the largest frame from the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES to trim down the panel.

Next, I die cut the HAPPILY EVER AFTER SENTIMENT using a silver foil cardstock. I also die cut the leaves from the same paper and the flowers using a white heavyweight card stock and glued the pieces in place as seen below.

To finish off this card, I added some ICY SPARKLE CRYSTALS and added the panel onto a white A2 sized card base.

For this gold wedding card, I began by adding a dotted foil detail to the card panel using POLISHED BRASS Glimmer Foil and the GLIMMER RECTANGLE GLIMMER PLATES. I then die cut the card front with the largest frame from the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES.

Here again, I kept the card simple by only using 2 colors. This time, I used the MR and MRS WEDDING CAKE DIES the I die cut the MR and MRS, the cake background, trim, and the leaves using a gold foil cardstock and the cake and flowers using white cardstock.

I then adhered the pieces onto the center of the card front panel, using foam tape to pop up some areas on the cake to add some dimension. And then just finished this card by adding some GOLD FOIL PEARLS for added interest.
