Bride to Be Free - Silhouette .studio file

Hello Everyone!

Today I have a FREE Silhouette .studio file to share with you all. That means it is only Silhouette machine compatible. Sorry don't have an SVG for it! But, if you like... watch my video HERE as I explain how to I created it and you may be able to do something similar as well.

As you can see this is for a Bride To Be Wedding Shower Cake topper that I recently made for some one and since I know how expensive these events can get, I thought I would share it with all the DIYers out there for FREE!

Bride To Be Cake Topper Silhouette .studio file

TIPS:

• Make sure you avoid using sparklers or candles nearby as it is paper and totally flammable! 
• If you are using this on top of buttercream icing (or any other moist type of icing) insert the topper just before revealing the cake as paper can absorb any grease that the icing may contain, or just have it barely touch the top of the cake. I have used these toppers on fondant-covered cakes, and there has been no grease transfer.

DIY Customized Foam Core Shelving for Markers

Hi guys,

Today I'm getting organized with you all!

Since discovering the world of stamping and card making I have been looking for ways to neatly organize my markers, but couldn't find anything that really worked for my space. So as a DIY'er, I thought I could come up with something that worked for me. And, I absolutely LOVE the results and had to share it with you all of course.

This shelving/storage unit measures ~ 8 inches high, 16 inches wide and has a depth of 5.5 inches.

Super easy and inexpensive to make!

You could use the same principles I used in creating this one and customize it for your space. Organize your stamp blocks and ink pads, washi tapes, ribbon... the possibilities are endless!

Magical Day Birthday Card

Hey Everyone!

Today I want to share with you this really fun birthday card I made for my God Daughter. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen I painted this little beauty on our Summer vacation, and recently posted a video clip on cutting it out using the Silhouette Pixscan mat. I knew she would come in handy for a future card and so here is her debut ;)

I really love how this card turned out and thought it was perfect for a little girls birthday!

Here is a closer look at the cutest little unicorn! 

I'm in LOVE with my Zig Clean Color Markers.

I really like making interactive cards, especially for kids and so I added a mini action wobbles to the Unicorn.

...and here is the magical unicorn in action!

My Favorite Things - You Could Be a Card Design Superstar Contest

Hi All!

Today I want to share with you my entries for the My Favorite Things - You Could Be a Card Design Superstar Contest - 2016!

I almost missed the boat on this one, as I just heard about the contest last week! Wish I had more time to come up with another card (three is the maximum you can enter). But I guess two will have to do!
Well... what do you think of my first card?

How cute is this little guy!? 

I love how using a clear acetate on the bottom of the card makes it really look like a speech bubble ;)

I will link a list of the supplies I used below this post, but here is a list of the specific Spectrum Noir Markers I used (FS3, FS6, TN3, TN5, IG1 and the Blender).

Here is what the inside looks like.

I used adhesive black foam for my letters to add some texture and dimension.

It's clean, it's simple, it's fun... and that's what I was going for. I'm pretty happy with it since I feel like I'm still a newbie at this whole card making craft! Plus, it was easy enough that I'm going to make a few more to have on hand for birthday's that I have coming up soon!

And onto my second card...

In contrast to the first card this one is a lot darker and actually a little gloomy.

 Here is a close up of the glitter fun foam clouds and the distressed sky.

It gets a bit lighter and hopeful on the inside of the card. 

I think this is the perfect card this card to brighten up someone's day!
