MFT You're One Cool Cat Action Wobbler Birthday Card

Today my baby Maia turns 10! I'm still can't believe it... she's double digits! :'( 

She's almost all grown up!

So for today's post I would love to share with you the card I made for her.

This cute cat reminds me of Maia all prim and proper... well most of the time, LOL!

For her birthday we went to see the Secret Life of Pets this weekend (really funny). So I thought this would make the perfect birthday card for her. I love how just by adding a little wobbler behind the cat's head makes this card interactive and so much fun!

I have a complete product list below on what I used to make the card for anyone interested.

I do not have the coordinating dies for the stamp set and I really do not enjoy fussy cutting.

DIY Flower Vase Shaker Card

Hey everyone!

I have a bunch of birthdays coming up, so I wanted to stock up and make a few cards to have on hand using supplies that I have been hoarding and hadn't tried out yet! Anyone else have that problem? LOL!

Today I want to share with you a really cute DIY Flower Vase Shaker Card.
This will make the perfect birthday card for one of the ladies in my life!
Who doesn't love flowers?!

The first thing I did for this card was stamp and clear ink emboss with WOW! embossing powder onto some 80lb Neenah cardstock. The stamps I used for this card come from Stampendous - Bouquet for you set. I then water coloured the images in staying with the wells of the embossed areas. Once I was happy with the colouring I loaded the paper onto my Silhouette PixScan mat, scanned it and did the trace of the image and then cut them out!

I can't tell you how much I LOVE, LOVE my PixScan mat! No fussy cutting required!!!

Want to know where I got the vase cut out?!
It is actually a die piece to cut out bows from American Crafts - Dear Lizzy - Fine and Dandy (the banner also came from this die set). When I cut out the top layer of the card I made sure that my big shot would stop cutting the bow by having the top plate end where the bottom of the vase would be. I then just used a craft knife to cut the piece out. So easy right? Sometimes you just have to look at the supplies you have in a different way to stretch out your collection!

The rest of the shaker was assembled like any other shaker card. I used some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, Martha Stewart Glitter and some Recollections Microbeads. I then added the top layer of the card to a piece of coordinating green scrap I had and mounted it onto A-6 Card base.

Spooktacular Halloween Moon Spinner Card

 Hey Guys!!!

Were you able to catch a glimpse of the Blood Moon this past Sunday Evening? Here is a pic we snapped just in case you missed it! I was in awe of this beautiful sight!

Anyways, it seems like the stars were all aligned as I had been working on this cool Halloween Spinner Card for my latest Fleurette Bloom DT Project!



My baby sister celebrated a birthday recently and thought I would make her a non traditional Birthday Card. So happy with how it turned out, it couldn't be any cooler!

The Moon and Happy Birthday Stamps come from Fleurette Blooms Sun Moon and Stars Clear Photopolymer Stamps

Using Vinyl to Create Watercolor Cards + How to Video

Recently I have seen watercolor cards popping up everywhere ! So I had to jump on board and give them a try!

Before I even got started I watched tons of you tube videos but I have to say I fell in love with Kristina Werner Design videos. What a talented artist! I even went out and purchased some masking fluid to create something like I saw from one of her tutorials. But then one night, I had a light bulb moment and thought to myself why not try making a card using vinyl rather than the masking fluid. With the fluid you need to be really steady with your hand and have great calligraphy skills. But, with vinyl all you need is a nice font and a electronic cutting machine. The designs with the Silhouette are endless!

So then came the experiment and I am pleased to say I am truly happy with the results. I have to admit I had so much fun working with watercolors that I am positive this will be the first of many projects using them!
