Happy Monday Friends, hope you had a wonderful weekend!
I am back today with literally a little pick "me" up Birthday Card. With the current situation and Social Distancing, both my husband and I have not seen our parents other than during facetime conversations, but last week my FIL turned 74 and with Mother's Day we finally saw them for a quick social distant visit. I thought this was the perfect card to give him since he used to have an old rusty red truck not so long ago.
CARD DETAILS
To begin I stamped out the Pickup from the LITTLE PICKUP stamp set, colored it using Copic markers, and then cut it using the coordinating LITTLE PICKUP DIES. I also used a pen blade to create an opening around the window.
Next, I blended out the background using the clouds from the OUTDOOR SCENE BUILDER STENCILS and then masked off and also blended out the area for the grass and the dirt road.
I then die cut the 74 using the BALLOON NUMBER DIES using a foiled cardstock and then distressed the edges of the numbers by scrapping them with the blade of a pair of scissors. (Saw Melissa (the BOSS) do this on one of the recent Facebook Live's, and thought that was GENIUS!) To tie the balloons, I used foil thread and secured the line behind the truck.
For the sentiment, I used the new BIRTHDAY stamp set to stamp out my birthday wishes across the sky and then finished the greeting by stamping "You're a Classic" in the grassy area.
