Mixed Media Rainbow Art Card | Hero Arts

CARD RECIPE

I began by adding color to a 6x6 piece of cardstock by ink blending using a rainbow of reactive ink cubes. I then ink smooshed the same ink onto the panel to add a layer of detail. Once it was dry I trimmed off the panel to A2 size and reserved the extra piece for the flowers. To the trimmed panel, I used the Abstract Expressionist Bold Prints to add the design to the background. I then stamped the other piece of the panel using Pop Art Flowers and then die-cut them with the coordinating dies.

To the A2 panel, I then used a couple of the colored embossing powders from the My Monthly Hero Kit March 2022 to heat emboss onto the panel. 

Next, I added Hero Paste using the Abstract Frames Stencil. Once that was dry, I added glue from a zig pen to the raised areas and let it dry a little until it was tacky. I then pressed a scrap piece of glimmer foil into the tacky areas to leave some gold foil behind. 

I then die-cut the Museum Frame Fancy Die and added it to the colorful panel at an angle and then to the center of the frame I added the Pop Art Flowers that I had die cut earlier. To embellish the centers and tie in the gold from the background, I added some gold pearls.

And finally, this masterpiece was finished with a quote from Andy Warhol, that I then fussy cut and glued in place.
