Cheers to You Bokeh Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my friends, and Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday weekend. Sadly I had to work but was able to enjoy a couple of Christmas Dinners with my friends and family.

As we approach the end of the year and this card reminds me of all the twinkly lights of the season. Today's Bokeh Background Card could be used for so many occasions, a birthday, a retirement, just because, New Year's, really any excuse to celebrate a friend! So let me tell you how this came together.

CARD RECIPE

To create this card I began by blending the background circles using the Polka Dot Background Stencils and various distress oxide inks, see colors listed below. The blending was done on a dark blue textured panel. Once the Polka Dots were done I then went back and added black soot distress oxide ink around the edges to intensify the background.

Next, I die-cut 4 layers of the Cheers Dies and the You Buzzword Dies, 3 layers from black cardstock, and a top Silver Glitter layer. They were then stacked and glued together onto the background layers that were cut from vellum.

To complete the sentiment I stamped out the "to" in white ink using a stamp from the Cheers stamp set.

Finally, I finished off this beauty by adding all the sequin bling!

Modern Feature Wall Welcome to the Neighborhood Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, and Happy Friday Crafty Friends!

Today's post is part of an Instagram Hop to celebrate the Sealed with Love release from Honey Bee Stamps. Make sure to join me over on IG for lots of inspiration from the Design Team and to qualify for two $25 Gift Cards.

This card features the Happy Plants Stamps and Dies, and the Rooting For You Sentiments Stamps and Dies that I paired with the Mod A2 Cover Plate.

Doesn't this totally look like a gorgeous feature wall you would see in a modern-designed home? It looks so aesthetic that it's totally giving me the Reno itch! 

To create the see-through card front, I die-cut the Mod A2 Cover Plate four times from black heavyweight cardstock. I then stacked and glued the layers together. Before gluing on the fourth layer I attached the back panel of the card, where I created a tiny hinged by scoring the card base across the top. If you look closely you can see the hinge peek through. I could have cut it a hair shorter, but was being lazy, lol!

The Happy Plants were colored using Copic Markers and then die cut using the coordinating dies.

To finish this card I just popped the plants in place using glue and the foam tape to the front polka-dotted plant and then added some white gel pen highlights.

Sealed With Love Day 4 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Happy humpday friends and welcome to the final day of Sneak Peeks for Honey Bee Stamps Sealed With Love Release! My first Plant Scene card today features the new Happy Plants Stamps and Dies, the Rooting for You Sentiment Stamps and Dies as well as the new Geometric Lines Stencil.

These plants were colored using Copic Markers, and I used Hero Arts Embossing Paste to create the background.

This next Plant Scene card features the new Mod A2 Cover Plate as well as pattern paper from the new Hugs And Kisses Paper Pad.

I always have to finish my cards with a little bit of bling, a card of mine isn't complete unless there is a sparkle somewhere. Is anyone else like that or am I the only crazy one?! LOL😆

The Rooting for You along with the Happy Plant Sets make the perfect cards for someone who is moving, has bought a new house, needs encouragement or sympathy, or just a thank you for their hospitality.

Sealed With Love Day 3 Sneak Peeks | Honey Bee Stamps

Welcome back to Day 3 of the Honey Bee Stamps Sealed With Love Release! Make sure you visit the Honey Bee Blog for more Day 3 inspiration from the Design Team. Please note that new links will not be active until the Release goes live on December 15th, 2021 @9pm CST.

This circular-shaped Wedding Card features the Delicate Doily Card Base Die and the newest Lovely Layers: Roses Dies. I also used the Be Mine Bitty Buzzword Stamps and Dies for the sentiment.

The first thing I did was die cut and assemble the Rose. To the edges of the petals and the leaves, I ink blended some Walnut Distress Ink to add some depth and dimension.

I then assembled the shaker front using two of the Delicate Doily Card Base Dies. To create the window for the shaker I die cut one of Double Stitched Circle Dies in the center of the Doily. I used Bokeh Lights Confetti Mix for my shaker bits. Honey Bee also has Acetate now which is awesome and used it for my shaker window. Before gluing all the pieces together for the shaker panel, I stamped out the Mr. and Mrs. Stamp from the Bitty Buzzwords: Be Mine using Intense Black Ink. To the front of the shaker window, I then added the ampersand that I die cut, stacked, and glued 3 layers together.

For the back panel of the card, I glued two Doily layers together as I wanted the impressions on both the front and the back of the card. I then scored created a fold line across the top of the doily to make the hinge so that I could glue it to the front shaker panel. 

I finished by adding the Rose to the front of the card and added some of the same confetti sprinkles. This card fits nicely into a 5 1/2" Square Envelope, even with all its dimension.
