Glimmer Mix & Match From Me to You Cards | Spellbinders | GOM December 2020

Hello friends, and Happy December since this is my first official post for the month! Today I am sharing a few cards featuring the new Spellbinders Glimmer Mix & Match Hot Foil Kit for December.

These foil plates make a great addition to your collection if you like to make a lot of birthdays and Thank you cards. They also include a few floral plates to customize for other occasions.

CARD DETAILS

As with any other foiled card, I began by heating up the GLIMMER HOT FOIL SYSTEM. I then cut a piece of SILVER - Glimmer Foil and placed it onto a cream cardstock panel. Next, I placed the floral plate onto the foil and then placed it onto the Foil System plate side down. Once the heat timer was done I ran the foil sandwich through the PLATINUM 6 DIE CUTTING PLATFORM to transfer the foil. I then repeated the process to add the happy birthday using the coordinating plate and the From Me To You in the center. The leaves were colored using Copic Markers.

Next, I die cut the panel using a few of the frame dies from the NESTABILITIES ESSENTIAL LABEL DIES and then added the panel using foam tape onto a pink piece of cardstock that I adhered to a card base.

To make this card more festive, I thought it would be fun to add a birthday cake to embellish. The cake comes from the BIRTHDAY ANIMALS ETCHED DIES and the flowers come from a previous Glimmer Foil Kit THANKS A MILLION. As a final touch, I added a few pink pearls.

This next card was done the exact same way but using the thank you Hot Foil and Floral Plates from the  Glimmer Mix & Match Kit. Here I obviously also used different colored cardstocks and the RECTANGLE ETCHED DIES to die cut the panel. I also used the coordinating die from the Glimmer Mix & Match Kit to cut the From Me To You Sentiment and then Heat foiled the sentiment onto green cardstock and added it back to the center using foam tape. The flowers were colored using Copic markers.

To continue the floral design around the wreath, I die cut and added a few of the flowers and leaves from the MR and MRS WEDDING CAKE dies.

To finish off this card, I just added some pale green pearls to the centers of the flowers and added them around the foiled wreath.
