Spellbinders - Hello Cards. Indie Collection. Blog Hop + Giveaways (Now Closed)

Today I have a few cards to share with you featuring some stamps and dies from the Indie Collection. This collection is exclusive to and only available to select online and independent retailers. Click → here for a list of shops!

Card Details

For this first card, I began by die cutting out the Layered Oak Tree from watercolor paper. Once my pieces were all cut I used Mijello Misson Gold watercolors to add layers of color to each piece. Once dry I assembled and glued the tree together. 

Before adhering the tree to the card front I painted what looks like a shadow from the tree on the card front and stamped out the "my friend"  sentiment from the Hello Expressions Stamp and Die Set. I then die cut the hello from the set using vellum for the shadow layer. That's pretty much it for this CAS friendship card. I left the inside blank as this card could be used for a variety of different occasions.

This next card features the Happy Weather Etched Dies from the collection. 

 Once again I began by die cutting the Happy Weather pieces out of watercolor paper. To create what appears to be the rainbow I used the Pierced Circles Etched Dies and stacked the circles towards the left the largest die, and then cut the die cuts in half.

I then painted the images again using Migelo Mission Gold Watercolors and adhered them to the card front. I used white and black gel pens to add details to the sun and clouds little faces. To add a little more dimension to the cloud's eyes I used some black crystals and added a white dot to the centers. 

For my sentiment, I once again used the hello die, die cut and stacked 3 layers and then used clear embossing powder to add some shine to the top layer. I then used the Sunshine stamp to complete the sentiment. Added a few more sequins for additional rain like sparkle.
