Circle Shaped Shaker Thank You Cards

Hello friends!

Hope you all are enjoying the beautiful Summer weather 😎Unfortunately my time outdoors has been limited as I have been suffering from really bad seasonal allergies. So weird, because I have never had this issue before 👎Thank goodness for allergy medication!

Anyways, my cards today were inspired by the summer season. I wanted to create some bright and colorful flowers for my cards and though the coloring is a little more artistic vs. realistic I still feel like they look very summery to me.

To create my cards, I first stamped out the spring blossoms using Juicy Ink and heat set it using white embossing powder. Next, I colored the images in using Tombow Dual Brush Pens. This coloring was truly an experiment as I have never done anything like this before and I was really excited on how it turned out! I need to give Alex from Alexsyberia credit, who totally inspired me to step out of my comfort zone. Now to create the actual circle shaped card, I cut out the card base by using the Donut Card dies. I then cut out the colored cardstock with the circle die from the same donut set and glued it to the top of the card front. 

Next, I used the two largest Double Stitched Circle Dies and die cut the frame for the shaker front of the card. I then added the acetate to the frame and built it up with foam to create the space for the shaker bits. To the first card, I added I then added a mix of the Aurora Light, Shooting Star Confetti and heart sequins. For the second card, I just left out the Shooting star mix.

I then finished off the card fronts by adding the Spring Blossom flower clusters and the layered Large Thanks dies.
