Lovebirds Valentine's Day Card | Mirror Stamping using Fadeout Ink | Ink On 3

Hello, my friends. 

Can you believe Christmas Eve is tomorrow? Are you ready?! Ready or not, despite all the time we spent at home this year with the social distancing, and isolations, it still felt like this year flew by. Hopefully next Christmas this will all be over and we can return to our normal Holiday traditions with all our family and friends.

Well, let's get on with today's card... Is it too soon to start thinking about Valentine's? Personally, I was actually excited to work on something other than Christmas and the little bird from the latest LITTLE BIRDIE Set was the perfect inspiration for my first Valentine's Day card.

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I started by stamping out the birdie on the left onto a piece of Bristol paper. The stamp comes from the LITTLE BIRDIE set and the ink I used was FADEOUT INK. I then placed the MIRROR IMAGE STAMP in the MISTI tool and stamped the little birdie again this time onto the MIRROR IMAGE STAMP using FADEOUT INK. I then picked up the image off the MIRROR STAMP by placing the paper face down to pick up and transfer a mirrored image onto the Bristol piece of paper. To get a good transfer I repeated the last step 3 times. 

The images were then watercolored in using all the Atelier inks linked below. 

For the top panel, I used the LEAFY FOREST STENCIL and blended out the leaves using ATELIER GODDESS GREEN and very light pressure with a blending brush. To the top half of the panel, I die cut a heart-shaped window opening to frame the lovebirds and then trimmed down the panel to attach over the lovebird image with some foam tape.

The sentiment on the card panel comes from the RACCOON HUGS set that I stamped out using ATELIER TWIGGY BROWN Ink. The little heart in the center of the birds also comes from the Raccoon Hugs set. Difficult to see from the photos but I added some LIQUID PIXIE DUST to the heart.

I hope loved my little Lovebirds Valentine's Day card and got some inspiration from it. Mirror stamping is a great way to stretch your supplies and create cute Valentine Scenes with any critter stamp you may already have. Jingle Bell Snow Globe Gift Tag/Ornament | Honey Bee Stamps

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells... 

That's the tune I hear in my head when I shake this cute Jingle Bell Snow Globe Gift Tag/Ornament I made. I love it when something I create can be used in multiple ways!

CARD DETAILS

To begin, this cute Gift Tag/Ornament, I stamped out the cute snowman and images from the SNOW BUDDIES set, colored it using 3 Copic markers (B00, RV10 and 0), then used the coordinating SNOW BUDDIES DIES to die cut and piece together. To its nose, I added some glossy accents and to the ball of the hat, I added a pompom.

The next thing I did was work on the snow globe scene. I die cut 4 frames for the snowglobe using the SNOW GLOBE A2 SHAKER dies from white cardstock. I then die cut the trees using both the BIRCH A2 COVERPLATE TOP and the BIRCH A2 COVERPLATE BASE. To the birch trees, I inked them up slightly with ICED SPRUCE Distress Oxide ink using a DETAIL BLENDER BRUSH. For the hills, I used the dies from SANTA'S VILLAGE DIE set. I then painted on a layer of glue and sprinkled on a layer of sparkle glitter. Next, I die cut each layer using the outer frame of the SNOW GLOBE A2 SHAKER as well as a piece of vellum and then stacked and glued the layers together. 

To finish off the bottom sentiment portion of the snow globe I first die cut a piece of brown cardstock using one of the BARN WOOD PLANKS and then ran that piece through the die machine again to cut the bottom shape of the snowglobe using the base die. The sentiment I used comes from the JINGLE ALL THE WAY stamp set from last year.

To finish off this winter snowglobe scene I added some holographic snowflakes using the LAYERING SNOWFLAKE DIES. I also stamped the Jingle Bells stamp onto black cardstock that I heat embossed in white and then created a tag using one of the SENTIMENT BANNER DIES.

The last thing I did was to add the ribbons, bows, and twine to the top to make it extra pretty and jingly. 

Here is what it looks like hanging on my tree. Love that the background is vellum and you can see the light and the shadows peek through.

And here is what the back of the ornament/tag looks like. When you gift something like this, the recipient will always be reminded of you when they see it on their tree! By the way, the to: and the from: stamps come from the ONE-OF-A-KIND stamp set.
