Garden Apron Shaped Birthday Card | SCT Magazine

Hello, my crafty friends!

Recently my card was featured in the Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine.

This birthday card is perfect for the gardener in your life, change up the colors if the gardener is a male to make it more masculine. It also makes a great card for mom or GrandMa. How cute are all the little garden tools in this pocket. Love all the dimension!

To the inside of the card, I added a pocket for a gift card on the backside of the front panel and stamped the birthday sentiment on the right, leaving enough space for a handwritten message.

Star Shaped Unicorn Dreams Card | Heffy Doodle

Hello Crafty Friends! 

I am super excited to announce I will be guest designing this month for Heffy Doodle. I absolutely love their designs and was so excited when they reached out to me for a collaboration.

If you have been following me for a while, you may already know my favorite color is rainbow. I always try to sneak it in somehow in all my cards if possible and today's Star Shaped Unicorn Dreams Card featuring Fluffy Puffy Unicorns was no exception. So let me tell you how this card came together.

CARD RECIPE

• Die-cut two of the largest star-shaped die from the Stitched Stars Dies set.
• To one the star that will be the top layer, die-cut the smallest star-shaped die from the Stitched Stars Dies set.
• To the star that will be the back of the card, score a line across the top point to create the hinge of the card. Set this star aside until it is ready to be glued together to the top panel.
• Using Distress Oxide Inks, I started by blending Salty Ocean in the center of the star, followed by Blueprint Sketch and finishing the tips of the star with Chipped Sapphire ink. I then spritzed the surface with water and picked up the drops with a paper towel. To add to the galaxy background I also splattered drops of white pigment ink.
• Once the background was dry I then used the Star Swirl Stencil to add a layer of Glimmer Paste.
• Glue the top star panel to the back panel above the scoreline to create the hinge for the card base.
• Line up the sentiment in the star opening and using a stamp positioner stamp the "DREAM BIG!" through the window opening.

• Stamp out the images from the Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Stamps using Copic-friendly ink. 
• Color in images using Copic Makers or desired medium.
• Die-cut images using coordinating Fluffy Puffy Unicorns Dies.
• For additional sparkle and shine, I used a glue pen to add glitter details to the unicorn's mane and tails. To the clouds, I added liquid glue to the bottom and added chunky glitter.

• Use foam tape to pop up the unicorns and other images onto the Star Shaped Card front.
• Add white gel pen details to the unicorn's cheeks and mane, and add a gold gel pen to the unicorn's horn.

You're Sew Special Crafty Friendship Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello, my crafty friends! 

I think most of you will all enjoy this cute stitched card especially if you love to sew. Besides coloring and drawing as a child, sewing would have been the first crafty thing I got into. I was about 10 years old, on vacation in Portugal and my Grandmother taught me how to sew on her old antique Singer sewing machine. My first project was an apron with large pockets on the front. The stitching was terrible and the apron was white (talk about the terrible choice of color for an apron, lol). I didn't care, I was just obsessed with all the stuff my Grandmother could carry in her apron pockets and just had to have my own! 

Anyways, let's get on with details for today's card featuring products from Honey Bee Stamps.

CARD RECIPE

• Start by stitching various colors of thread across an A2 card panel using a sewing machine, or any tool that will stitch through paper.
• Stamp out any images that relate to sewing. Using INTENSE BLACK INK and stamps from the LET'S GET CRAFTY and the SEW SPECIAL Sets.
• Color in using Copic markers or desired medium.
• Die-cut using coordinating dies from the LET'S GET CRAFTY and the SEW SPECIAL Die Sets.
• Add foam to the back of each image.

• Stamp out the sentiment from the SEW SPECIAL Set using white ink and heat setting it with embossing powder on black cardstock.
• Die-cut with coordinating SEW SPECIAL Die. 
• Pop the sentiment in the center of the stitched card panel and then add the sewing-themed elements all around the card front.
• Use Glossy Accents to add shine and dimension to images.
