Simple Monochromatic Glimmer Foiled Sentiment Cards | Spellbinders June Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month

Hello, my Friends!

On today's blog post, I will be sharing 3 Simple Monochromatic Glimmer Foiled Sentiment Cards featuring the Spellbinders June 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit of the Month - Let Your Sentiments Shine 5 Plate set. The sentiments include Thank You, Birthday, Congrats, Sympathy, and Encouragement Foil Plate Greetings. Perfect for your everyday cardmaking needs.

To keep my cards simple and make the sentiment the focal point I thought I would make some monochromatic cards. Sometimes simple is best!

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I used the BLACK GLIMMER FOIL to FOIL all 3 backgrounds using a different Sentiment plate from the Let Your Sentiments Shine Set. Each time positioning the plate in different positions on different colored cardstocks. 

The next thing I did was to stamp out and fill the background using versa mark ink and heat setting the images in using clear embossing powder. For this first card, I used a leaf from Simon Says Stamp BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS 2. I then used Prismacolor Pencils to add a similar color of green to the leaves and white highlights. I then finished the card off adding some crystals.

This next card was the same way as the previous card only this time in a different color and I used a larger stamp from the same BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS 2 stamp set.

Again I used the same colored pencil as the paper to add some color to the leaves as well as highlights. Here again, I finished off the card with crystals.

This third and final card was done the same way. For this card, I used a STAMPtember collaboration stamp set, TIE ONE ON that was done with Honey Bee Stamps. This card took a little longer to make as I colored each of the balloon images in using Prismacolor Pencils.  I then drew in some balloons strings.

Once again to finish this card off I added some coordinating colored crystals.

Simple Father's Day Cards Featuring Background Stencils | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Friends and Happy first day of June!

Today I am back to share with you 3 fairly simple to make Father's Day Cards featuring stencils from the latest release.

CARD DETAILS

This first card is for the Sporty Dad in your life. As you can see it is super clean and simple. I began with blending a very faint blue circle on the top half of the card panel using the new CIRCLE SPOTLIGHT STENCIL. I then stamped out the sentiments from the FATHER'S DAY stamp set centered inside the blended area.

Next, I stamped out the images from HOPE THE HEDGEHOG onto Neenah 110lbs cardstock and then colored them all in using Copic markers, then die cut the pieces with their coordinating HOPE THE HEDGEHOG DIES.

I then popped up each image using foam tape and added them along the edge of the circle to form somewhat of a wreath. To finish off the design, I added a little heart that comes from the BEE MINE - FREE DIE set.

As an additional touch, I always like to add some sparkle and shine using Liquid Pixie Dust and Glossy Accents on certain areas of the card.

This next card is for the Dad that is out of this world awesome, and could also be used for a birthday or any occasion to celebrate dad.

I started off this card by trimming a piece of the galaxy like paper from the LOG CABIN Paper Pad to an A2 size panel. Next, I used the TWINKLE, TWINKLE STENCIL over it to apply a layer of Transfer Gel Duo from Thermoweb. Once the gel was dry I pressed into it a piece of  Rainbow Deco Foil to add a rainbow of stars in the galaxy. Love how this method requires no heat for the foil to transfer! I then blended the edges of the paper with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.

For the Dad, I used both the BEE BOLD ALPHABET CUTS, and the BEE BOLD LOWERCASE DIES. I cut out 2 layers using black cardstock and then added a top white layer to create a shadow appearance.

For the You are out of this world, I stamped out the sentiment onto black cardstock and then heat set it using a white emb. pwd. using stamps from the STELLAR SENTIMENTS set and then die cut them with the coordinating BEE BOLD LOWERCASE DIES (note - the You are was fussy cut).

To finish this card like the previous one I added a few hearts from the BEE MINE - FREE DIE and then added Liquid Pixie Dust and Glossy Accents.

This final card is for the Manly Man Dad, or the Canadian Dad, LOL!

I began this card by blending out a black ink onto a piece of red cardstock using the BUFFALO PLAID BUILDER STENCILS. I love how easy this background was to do.

The next thing I did was die cut some rings to frame my sentiment using the CIRCLE THIN FRAMES and glued them to a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed to fit under the circle area. I only used 2 circles and saved the rest for later use.

Using the BEST PARENTS DIES, I die cut a white shadow layer and 3 black layers for the Father's sentiment that I stacked and glued together and popped it up with foam tape onto the circle frame I had created.

I then stamped out the Happy Day on to the panel using stamps from the BEST PARENTS set. Once again I finished the card with the same hearts from the BEE MINE - FREE DIE and then added Liquid Pixie Dust and Glossy Accents.
