Simple Father's Day Cards Featuring Background Stencils | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello Friends and Happy first day of June!

Today I am back to share with you 3 fairly simple to make Father's Day Cards featuring stencils from the latest release.

CARD DETAILS

This first card is for the Sporty Dad in your life. As you can see it is super clean and simple. I began with blending a very faint blue circle on the top half of the card panel using the new CIRCLE SPOTLIGHT STENCIL. I then stamped out the sentiments from the FATHER'S DAY stamp set centered inside the blended area.

Next, I stamped out the images from HOPE THE HEDGEHOG onto Neenah 110lbs cardstock and then colored them all in using Copic markers, then die cut the pieces with their coordinating HOPE THE HEDGEHOG DIES.

I then popped up each image using foam tape and added them along the edge of the circle to form somewhat of a wreath. To finish off the design, I added a little heart that comes from the BEE MINE - FREE DIE set.

As an additional touch, I always like to add some sparkle and shine using Liquid Pixie Dust and Glossy Accents on certain areas of the card.

This next card is for the Dad that is out of this world awesome, and could also be used for a birthday or any occasion to celebrate dad.

I started off this card by trimming a piece of the galaxy like paper from the LOG CABIN Paper Pad to an A2 size panel. Next, I used the TWINKLE, TWINKLE STENCIL over it to apply a layer of Transfer Gel Duo from Thermoweb. Once the gel was dry I pressed into it a piece of  Rainbow Deco Foil to add a rainbow of stars in the galaxy. Love how this method requires no heat for the foil to transfer! I then blended the edges of the paper with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink.

For the Dad, I used both the BEE BOLD ALPHABET CUTS, and the BEE BOLD LOWERCASE DIES. I cut out 2 layers using black cardstock and then added a top white layer to create a shadow appearance.

For the You are out of this world, I stamped out the sentiment onto black cardstock and then heat set it using a white emb. pwd. using stamps from the STELLAR SENTIMENTS set and then die cut them with the coordinating BEE BOLD LOWERCASE DIES (note - the You are was fussy cut).

To finish this card like the previous one I added a few hearts from the BEE MINE - FREE DIE and then added Liquid Pixie Dust and Glossy Accents.

This final card is for the Manly Man Dad, or the Canadian Dad, LOL!

I began this card by blending out a black ink onto a piece of red cardstock using the BUFFALO PLAID BUILDER STENCILS. I love how easy this background was to do.

The next thing I did was die cut some rings to frame my sentiment using the CIRCLE THIN FRAMES and glued them to a piece of white cardstock that I trimmed to fit under the circle area. I only used 2 circles and saved the rest for later use.

Using the BEST PARENTS DIES, I die cut a white shadow layer and 3 black layers for the Father's sentiment that I stacked and glued together and popped it up with foam tape onto the circle frame I had created.

I then stamped out the Happy Day on to the panel using stamps from the BEST PARENTS set. Once again I finished the card with the same hearts from the BEE MINE - FREE DIE and then added Liquid Pixie Dust and Glossy Accents.

Heffy Doodle and InkOn3 Collaboration Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Inkon3 Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Inkon3 products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too! For my creation today, I will be sharing this woodland scene birthday card. You can never have enough birthday cards 😉

CARD DETAILS

To begin I stamped out the duck, balloon and the plants from the PLATY-RIFIC PONDIES set onto the card panel using BLACKOUT INK. I then colored them in using Copic Markers.

I then masked out the area below the duckie and blended out ATELIER GODDESS GREEN to create the grass. I then spritzed the area with water and picked up the ink to leave a distressed look. To the sky I used ATELIER PEACOCK BLUE, leaving the area around the duck white.

On another piece of cardstock, I stamped out and colored the images from the QUILL YOU BE MINE set and then used their coordinating QUILL YOU BE MINE DIES to cut them out. I then used foam to pop the image in place.

Next, I place the panel back into my stamping platform and stamped out the sentiments. The "HOORAY!" comes from the PLATY-RIFIC PONDIES set, and the happy birthday is from the QUILL YOU BE MINE set.

To complete the sentiment, I die cut, stacked and glued the FRIEND HEFFY CUT 3 times and then added a bubble where the tittle of the I would be.

To finish off this fun woodland birthday card I used LIQUID PIXIE DUST and painted it on a few areas. The heart, paper pieced balloon, the party hat, and the flame of the candle. I also added some glossy accents to areas for a little more dimension and used black and white pens to add details and highlights to the images.

Hello Sunshine Stitched Friendship Card | Studio Katia

Hello and Happy Friday my Friends!

Today's card was inspired by the weather and the gorgeous sunny days we have had recently. Plus since traveling is out of the question at least I can daydream about being in the tropics somewhere.

CARD DETAILS

To begin, I started by die cutting the background using the MINI POLKA DOTS COVER DIE and then just stitched this star-like pattern on to it. I thought this was a great way to stretch out the use of this cover die.

Next, I stamped out and die cut the stamps from the ALOHA set and colored them in using Copic markers.

I then arranged the flowers and popped up using foam tape on to the stitched background that I had glued on top of the card base.

I then added the sentiments on the card to complete the design. The script hello comes from the YOU'RE SO RANUNCULUS DIES that I stacked and glued together and the sunshine comes from the ALOHA stamp set that I stamped onto a banner from the BEST EVER DIES set.

To finish off the card I added some PRISMATIC SKY PEARLS to the background and added some shine by painting the flowers using LIQUID PIXIE DUST and also adding glossy accents.
