Honey Bee Stamps Spring Release Blog Hop - Day 2

Hello, my friends and welcome to Day2 of the Honey Bee Stamps Spring Release Blog Hop!

For those of you that don't know me, my name is Ilda and I am one of the Honey Bee Design Team members. If you have already been hopping along you have arrived from the very talented Galina's Blog. 

So let's get started, I have lots of card inspirations to share. I'm apologizing in advance, this is a very long post because this is a HUGE release and there are so many goodies 😍 

This first card features the Spring Blossom Stamp set and coordination Spring Blossom Honey Cut Dies. I stamped a few of the flowers and all the leaves directly onto the card base, then I used a few Zig brushes to color in the images. Next, I added some black splatters to the background and set it aside to dry. After all the images were die cut, I arranged them on the card base and layered them with some foam tape. Finished the card by adding a sentiment from the Sweet Stamp Set and then adding all my accents (glossy accent, Wink of Stella, Twilight Rhinestones). 

Since the height of wedding season is just around the corner, I thought it would be a good idea to have a wedding card on hand and ready to go! This wedding shaker features the new Mr and Mrs Honey Cuts, the bow tie from Pinky the Pig Stamp and coordinating dies and a shaker mix of consisting of Aurora Lights, Clear Iridescent mix, and Little Love sequin hearts. The square shaker frame was created with the new Double Stitched Squares Dies.

The congratulations sentiment comes from the Mr and Mrs stamp set.

If you love shaped cards, I think you'll love this next card. How fun is this Donut Card!? You can make this donut card for so many occasions and reasons!

For this card, of course, I used the  Donut Card dies and also the new Sweet Honey Cuts. The heart die cut comes from the Pinky the Pig Coordinating die set. To make it look like my donut was covered in icing, I pretty much lathered the donut in glossy accents, lol!

On the inside, I used both the Sweet and Foxy Sentiments Stamp sets.

I love how Honey Bee stamps creates so many options for their stamps and dies to coordinate. Here is another card featuring the new Donut Worry stamp set. A great stamp set for those pick me up encouragement cards that you need.

For this card, I stamped out the donut and sprinkle images from the set and then colored them in with a few chameleon pens.  I then die cut the panel using the double stitched rectangle die and then added a vellum layer to the top of the background. I adhered the layers together and used a hole punch to punch out the centers of the donuts. I then added the be happy sentiment and the Donut Worry to finish the top layer. 

On the inside, I stamped this encouragement sentiment.

Love this fun stamp set!

And for my final card today, I am sharing this cute interactive card featuring Pinky the Pig. Have you heard of pigs flying? Well, today you are going to get to see Pinky fly!

For this card, I used the Pinky the Pig Stamp Set and Coordinating Dies. For the background, I used the Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil and Distress Oxide inks. I also used a few Bubblegum Confetti Sequins.

On the inside, I used a few stamps from the Ham It Up Sentiment Set.

Dinosaur Party Card ft. Spellbinder's Dinosaur Etched Dies

Hello, my friends!

Today I have a super cute Dinosaur Party Card to share with you inspired by my son's love for Dinosaurs. When my son was around 3 years old he developed quite the obsession for them, he had to have everything dinosaur for a while, in fact, one of his Birthday Party's was Dinosaur themed. This card brought back some many great memories of that time! 

Here is how I made this card.

To begin, I first ran the Dinosaur dies thought the Sizzix using Canson watercolor paper. I then used mermaid markers to color in each dinosaur, by layering various colors and using a water brush to blend the colors together. Once the coloring was complete and the die cuts were dry, I placed each die cut back into the negative space (from the original piece they were cut from) and ran them along with their dies again through the Sizzix machine. This brought the etching back into the dinosaurs as the watercolor flattened some of the detail. I then added glossy accents to most of the raise etched areas on the dinosaurs and set them aside to dry.

For the card panel, I die cut a piece of bristol paper using the largest pierced rectangles. Then I did some very light ink blending to create the sky and the ground. To create the balloons I punched out a one-inch circle from a post-it note and used it to create a stencil for the balloons. I then pierced a hole under each balloon and fed some black sewing thread through, then secured it to the back of the panel. Next, I tied some knots in the string and glued the knots directly onto the top of the pierced hole, snipping off the extra thread. I then glued each dinosaur in place, popping up the center one with some foam tape.

I finished the card by adding the Hooray die cut that I had added glossy accents to.

I left the inside of the card blank for now, only because I think this card could be used for more than just a birthday party. I'm thinking retirement party for the "old dinosaurs" that may be ready to retire soon 😄
