Does Some Bunny Need a Hug Card - Guest Designer for Whimsy Stamps

Hello there, today I have the pleasure of guest designing for Whimsy Stamps.
As soon as I saw this cute little Hugs Bunny set, I just knew I had to add it to my collection. I find hugs always make things better, especially when it comes to my kids. But, many times even adults need a hug too, especially when times are tough or someone just had a rough day. I'm pretty sure this set is going to be very loved.

To make this card, I started by stamping out the bear and bunny image on a piece of watercolor paper, using Blackout ink. I then masked the images and stamped out one of the wreaths from the Farm House Wreath set. Then I colored the images in using Tombow Dual Brush markers and blended the colors out with a water brush. The sentiment was stamped out using a white pigment ink on black cardstock, and then I heat set with white embossing powder. Finished the card by adhering the panel to an A2 top folding card and then added some sequins, Wink of Stella sparkle and glossy accents as a finishing touch.

I love how simple and sweet this card turned out and hope you did too. One of the hardest kinds of cards I find to make are sympathy cards, yet I think a card think this would be perfect just by changing out the sentiment. Go Hog Wild on Your Birthday Card ft. Pinky the Pig

Hello friends!

How awesome is the latest Honey Bee Stamp Release?!? 😱 If you missed all the awesomeness, check out my previous post, and if you haven't left a comment over there, make sure you do so you can win some fabulous prizes! 

So on to today's card. Of course, I just had to bring Pinky the Pig back! He is just the cutest critter out there right now. And just look, I made him even more stinkin' CUTE by giving him a little smirk.

For this design, I began by stamping Pinky in the puddle, and then masked him up and stamped the flower images all around him from the Busy Bee set.

For my coloring today, I used the new to me Chameleon Pens! I had so much fun using them and figuring them out. Still, have lots to learn and practice but I was really happy with the results.

Once the coloring was done I added some white highlights and clear Wink of Stella to flowers, unfortunately not very visible in this photograph. Next, die cut the panel with the rectangle stitched die and popped it up onto a black card base. The Oh, Happy Day sentiment comes from the Congrats Grad set.

To the inside, I added the "It's your birthday, so go Hog wild!" from the Ham It Up set, as it thought it coordinated perfectly with the front of the card!
