XOXO Monochromatic Valentine's Day Cards | Ink On 3

Hello my friends, it feels so long since the last post 😬 I have been feeling a bit of the winter blues and had to take a little time away from social media. Thankfully, I am feeling a bit better and have been crafting away and have lots to share really soon 😊 Keeping my hands busy always seems to do me good!

I have a trio of Valentine's Day cards to share with you that were really simple to make. So if you are looking for some quick card ideas to give your Valentine/Galentine this year these are super cute.

CARD DETAILS

Basically what I did was repeat random stamping using the lips from the BAD AND BOUJEE stamp set to create the backgrounds for the cards. For this first card, I used ATELIER MARILYN RED on Hot Pink Cardstock and then used the same ink to blend the outer edge of the panel. 

I then used the PHAT ALPHANUMERIC DIES to die cut the XOXO out. I then popped them up on the center of the card and that was it for this first card! Super simple.

It appears I used white paper for the XOXO but it was actually Holographic Cardstock from the SILVER SERVICE paper pad.

In this next card, the background was created the exact same way only this time the cardstock was red and the ink I used was ATELIER SHARK TOOTH.

I then added the XOXO as before this time using white cardstock and then stamped out the sentiments using BLACKOUT INK and stamps from both BAD AND BOUJEE and FOX AND BUNNY HUGS sets.

Here again, the same process was repeated only this time on Pink Cardstock and using ATELIER SWEET PETUNIA ink.

The glitter paper also comes from the SILVER SERVICE paper pad.

All the card bases are A2 sized and top folding.

Honey Bunny Valentine Slimline Shaker Card | Honey Bee Stamps

Hello sweet friends and Happy Monday!

Today I have this fun slimline Honey Bunny Valentine shaker card to share with you. As you may have noticed, this card features a slimline window design. No, this is not a new Slimline frame from Honey Bee Stamps, but a DIY using some old and new dies which I will explain how to make later on.

CARD DETAILS

The first thing I did was stamp all the images from the HONEY BUNNIES stamp set. I then colored them in and die cut them using the coordinating HONEY BUNNIES DIES. I chose to use most of the images because I simply couldn't decide on one. So to fit all of this cuteness on a card I decided to go with a Slimline card.

To make the Slimeline shaker, I cut the frame using the SLIMLINE SENTIMENT STITCHED dies. I then had the idea to turn this into a shaker for an added layer of interaction. So to do this I drew a very faint line down the center of the frame cut out. Next, I used one of the smaller DOUBLE STITCHED SQUARE DIES and lined the middle of the square with the line I had drawn, taped it down, and then ran it through the die-cutter to create the first window. I repeated the same process for both the other windows. It was easy to divide the space on each side visually so I didn't use any measurements.

To the backside of the window frame, I added a piece of acetate and then foam tape along the outer edge. Next, I cut a piece of red cardstock slightly smaller than the frame and added a mound of sequins to the center, and then closed them in with the window frame to complete the shaker area.

 

The shaker was then glued onto a pink piece of cardstock that had been cut to the size of the card base that measured 9x4 inches.

I then glued the images on to each window to tell this bunny's love story.

The sentiment was composed of both the HONEY Stamp set and the HONEY DIES. I stamped the sentiments onto black cardstock and then white heat embossed the letters. I then die cut the strips using the SENTIMENT BANNER DIES.

For more sparkle and shine I painted on a layer of liquid pixie dust to all the hearts and the wing of the cupid bunny.
