Happy Monday friends,
Today's card features the pretty poppies from the Lovely Layers: Wildflowers Dies. As you may know from previous cards, the Lovely Layers Die Collection has to be my favorite from Honey Bee Stamps. This card could be used for any occasion but I also think it would make a great Remembrance Day Card.
CARD RECIPE
- Die-cut 2 of each of the Poppy flowers using colored cardstock.
- Piece flowers together. Add ink blending to add shading and foam in between layers for dimension.
- To the centers, I added glue and sprinkled black microbeads. Set flowers aside to work on the background.
- For the background, add the foiled dots to the background by using the Ombre Dots | A2 Hot Foil Plate with Brass Foil on the Hot Foil System.
- Use the Sweet Stacks Mini Slimline Dies to cut the background panel for the mini slimline card.
- To create the slope, I die cut the hill from Horizon Slimline Borders then again using the same frame from the Sweet Stacks Mini Slimline Dies.
- Stamp the Hello from Grandma's Garden stamp set on the hill panel using white ink and embossing powder.
- Glue the foiled panel onto the slimline card base and piece together the card.
Here's a close of the poppies and the foiled background. I absolutely love how the little microbead centers turned out. It's all about the details!
