Birthday Ribbon Cards

Hope you all are enjoying the Summer so far! We here are enjoying a heat wave, can't complain because in these parts before you know it the white stuff will be back! :(

Today I have a really cute project to share with you guys, Birthday Ribbon Cards! I have a few birthdays coming up and I thought these ribbons would make the perfect ribbon/card for the Bday Kids! Years ago one of my favorite Paper Artists Thienly Azim created something similar, and as soon as I saw the Ribbon in Fleurette Bloom's latest kit I knew I had to combine the two!

The files for the ribbon and card I used come from Fleurette Bloom's latest Motorcycle Racing 3D SVG Kit. The rosette I used comes from her Lucky Day 3D SVG Kit (Note: to create a fuller rosette as I did, I cut out 3 strips... only 2 are included in the rosette file)

All cut on the Silhouette Cameo.

Here is what the inside of the card looks like.
Check out how I meshed the ribbon and card! Clever, right?!

First, make your ribbon then punch a hole at the top of your card to slip the fastener through. Use some sticky dots or foam tape to allow for easy removal of the ribbon from the card. It's that simple and easy!!!

I love the patterned papers I used for the rosettes. The paper comes from Hazel & Ruby - Gone TYPO collection pack.

Stamps come from Studio G.

Hope this little project inspires you to create a ribbon/card for your next Birthday Boy or Girl!

Thanks for stopping by!

3D Paper Rocket Ship Gift Box

The day I made this 3D Rocketship I began with the plan of creating a simple Birthday Card. Somewhere along the way the card turned into this Rocket Ship. Totally cool with me as I was happy with the results and hopefully the Birthday Boy was too!

The file for the Rocket Ship comes from Fleurette Blooms Outer Limits - Space 3D SVG Kit. I have been wanting to make this for a while, maybe that explains my change in direction!

Check out the little Alien at the window, SO cute! (Well for an Alien I anyways)

The Space Ship is perfect for storing little treats or a giftcards for the Birthday Boy. This would also make a cool decoration or centerpiece for a Boy's Birthday Party!

Thanks for stopping by, hope you liked my 3D Rocket Ship. If you make one of these don't forget to share it on Fleurette Bloom's FB page!

Happy Crafting Everyone :)

Cupcake Shaped Cards

Today I have a few cards to share with you. I don't know about you guys (card makers, papercrafters) but now I feel guilty when I don't have a hand made card to give away. Store-bought just feels so wrong to me.... Ohhhh the papercrafter's guilt! Who knew?!? Maybe I'm just weird! I appoligize ahead for those of my friends that get store-bought from now on... but be nice, I probably did not have time LOL!

Anywho moving onto my fab cards! These cards are a combination of a few Fleurette Bloom files. Super easy and quick to put together, I actually made two! You can never have enough it seems.

Here is my little blue cupcake. For how to make your own shaped cards click HERE for one of my previous posts on shaped cards.

To make these cute cards here are the Fleurette Bloom files you will need:

These cards were cut and using the Silhouette Cameo.

Here is the pink cupcake, yummy!

and the happy birthday stamp inside.

Hope you've enjoyed my delicious cards today. Now go and "whip" up your own!

I'm sure you have all seen the latest card craze... box cards! They are everywhere!!!

Well, today I wanted to share with you a really quick card that I whipped up this past weekend. So happy that Fleurette Bloom released one in her latest Celebrations SVG Kit. It was perfect for a last-minute card I needed!

Isn't it super cute!!!

The Rocket Ship and the Sentiment were done with the Print n Cut feature on the Silhouette Cameo.

Love how these box cards just fold right flat to squeeze into an envelope!

For any of you interested in creating this card, here are the files I used:

Card - Celebrations SVG Kit
Spaceship - Outer Limits - Space 3D SVG Kit
Stars - School Days SVG Collection

Valentine Classroom Treats | Ink On 3 Files

Hey All!

Today I want to share with you a few Valentine classroom treats that I made for my kiddos friends and teachers. The files for this project come from Fleurette Blooms Valentine Be Mine SVG Kit and digital papers from Hearts a Flutter Paper Pack

Really easy to make and so easy to put together! I hope they are all gonna love it :)

Valentine Classroom Treats | Ink On 3 Files

I created this Valentine's sentiment using the Print n Cut feature of the Silhouette. Used a font I liked and just layered it on top of the digital paper before I printed it.

I also personalized the label on the coffee cup using the same technique.
I love this coffee cup! Perfect for filling with treats or storing a gift card to their favorite coffee shop.

I think the boys are going to love these little pencil arrows. I can see them poking each other with these already, lol!

I hope you have been inspired to create some of your own Valentine's Classroom Treats. Now back to making a bunch more of these for the rest of the class.

3D Paper Floral Centerpiece | Ink On 3 Files

Today I want to share with you my latest Fleurette Bloom Design Team Project "3D Paper Floral Centerpiece."  Aren't those flowers GORGEOUS?! Hard to believe that they are made out of paper!

Have you ever thought of paper floral arrangements as centerpieces for your next event? Why not!?! Yes, they are a little more work but so worth it! They are less expensive to make than buying real flowers, they will last you forever, and are just as beautiful! Plus, your guests will be amazed that you made them too :)

3D Paper Floral Centerpiece | Ink On 3 Files

To make this beautiful 3D Paper Floral Centerpiece you will need SVG files from Fleurette Bloom's Valentine Be Mine 3D SVG Kit and Lush Flowers 3D SVG Collection

Other supplies I used to create this include:

Card stock
Inks
Hot glue and a glue gun
Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive
Decorative Burlap Ribbon
Toothpicks
2" Styrofoam ball
Decorative green moss

Cut on the Silhouette Cameo with SSDE

3D Paper Floral Centerpiece | Ink On 3 Files

The coolest part is that the Flower Pot (modified coffee mug) opens up to reveal a little surprise!

This arrangement would also make a great gift for someone. Think Valentine's Day, Mothers's Day, and upcoming Friend's Birthday... the possibilities go on and on! Also, the treats you fill the base with will act as a weight, keeping it from tipping over! If you chose to make it for yourself just fill the base with stones, beans, whatever you have handy will work ;)

3D Paper Floral Centerpiece | Ink On 3 Files

I absolutely LOVE how this 3D Paper Floral Centerpiece turned out!!! I hope you love it too! If you do make this project make sure you share it on Fleurette Blooms Facebook Page :)

Batty For You Card Halloween Card | Ink On 3

Today I want to share with you my latest Fleurette Bloom card. "Batty for You".

Batty For You Card Halloween Card | Ink On 3

Isn't he so CUTE?!?

Batty For You Card Halloween Card | Ink On 3

I thought it would be cool to put the sentiment under his wings.... that way the little "vampire" could draw you in for the bite!

To close the wings, as you can see I just used a little pop dot.

Here are the files you will need to make this card:
 Cut on the Silhouette Cameo

If you want to make the Bat like I did you will need to weld to the bat's body two wings and create score lines (as pictured above). I also created the white body layer by creating an internal offset and then used the print n cut feature of the Silhouette for the Sentiment.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card, used more digital papers... love those spooky little eyes!

So how "Batty" over this card are you? I love how it all came together... hope you did too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Fallen Leaves Card

Yay... The fall is here! My favorite season, the leaves outside are starting to turn colors! Here in my part of Canada, we get a very early and quick season... who knows we could get snow next week, lol! :( I sure hope NOT! Well while it's here I plan to enjoy it!

This month Fleurette Bloom and Trendy Twine have teamed up! So, today I want to share with you another one of my design team projects :)

Fallen Leaves Card

Here is a really fun Fallen Leaves Card I made. Isn't she purty?

Here is the recipe:
Electronic Cutting Machine (I used the Silhouette Cameo with the SSDE)

Fallen Leaves Card

I created the shaped card by laying out my leaves in the Silhouette's workspace and then created an offset of the grouped image I had laid out. Then I welded a square to the bottom of the offset image to create the base of the card. The next thing you need to do is create a copy of that image and flip horizontally. Line it up at the center, slightly overlapping the image, and then weld them together (make sure the bottom is lined up first). This will become your crease line. Flood your image with the Digi paper of your choice, then use the print and cut feature of your machine. I also created the sentiment tag, using print and cut on the Silhouette.

I hope you were able to follow along. Feel free to ask questions if you didn't ;)

Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure you stop by Fleurette Bloom's blog to see some more fun creations from the design team!

Happy Crafting :)
