Botanical Blessing/Sympathy Cards | Honey Bee Stamps

It's been a little while since my last blog post. I can't believe the summer is almost over and the kids have gone back to school. Mine are now both in high school and I still can't believe that my babies are closer to being adults than children :( Anyways, let's get on with today's blog post. 

I seem to never have enough sympathy or encouragement cards on hand so I thought today's post would inspire you as well if you are in the same boat. These were cards are simple to make and are good for mass-producing.

CARD RECIPES

Here is a breakdown of the supplies I used for each card.

Stamps:

Dies:

Stencils:

• Card #1 - Circle Spotlight Stencil
• Card #2 - Rectangle Spotlight Stencil

Paper: 

• NEENAH Solar White 110lbs

• Black Heavy Weight Cardstock

Background Color Media:

Oxide Inks

•  Card #1 - Dusty Concord, Seedless Preserves & Fossilized Amber

• Card #2 - Blueprint Sketch, Stormy Sky, Worn Lipstick & Wild Honey

• Card #3 - Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry & Mustard Seed

• Card #4 - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin & Candied Apple

Ink:

•  Intense Black Ink

Embossing Powder:

• Arctic White Powder

Die Cut Machine:

• Gemini Junior

Adhesives:

• Bee Creative Glue 

Embellishments:

•  Summer Stems Gem Stickers

Other Tools:

• Background Blender Brushes
• Honey Bee Reverse Tweezers

I really recommend these Spotlight stencils if love to ink blend. So many different sizes and options. For this first card, I used the Circle Spotlight. You want to stamp the image of the flowers on the inblended area while it is still masked, making this process super simple.

For extra details, I added gems to each of the cards.

I honestly don't think you can go too wrong with ink blending. At first, I didn't think these colors would look good together, and then I ended up really loving this combination. (See breakdown above for the inks used).

I think this may be my favorite background blend. Reminds me of a warm summer sunset sky.

Finally, this last one is perfect for the Fall weather coming soon. I love the sentiment here.
